The price was reasonable and the king size bed appeared fairly new. However the chair in the room looked old and dirty. I was afraid to sit on it. Breakfast was offered, however when we went down in the morning there wasn’t a light on and no one was in the office. So we all stayed in an unattended motel? When someone finally arrived, guests on the inside had to let the employee in… followed by a homeless man who was hungry. The problem wasn’t that they regularly feed him, but that he was hacking in the food area without covering his mouth and continuing to revisit and hack. I requested sanitizing wipes, and used them to clean the counters in the food service area, which were grimy. (No one showed up to do the food area that morning). That was enough to convince me not to eat the food. My husband decided to eat and three days later- he is fevering and sick. Not impressed. Stuff happens but ‘em not sure I’d stay again.

Plus: Staff members were kind, thoughtful and courteous. Minus: Room #1, Day 1 Neither key card worked. Front Desk clerk’s master key card did not work. She opened the door with an actual key. Promised repair. The bedside lamps and the floor lamp flickered periodically, and occasionally went dark. Could not fix. One light bulb was dead. Room #2, Day 2 - Couldn’t get in; key card entry device had not been repaired. Desk lady escorted me to a new room. My key cards would not work. Clerk’s master card and master key would not work. We did not get into the room. Moved on to a third room. Room #3, Days 2-4 Upon arrival, trash on the ground by the front door Tuesday was there when we left Sunday. No hot water for two days. Toilet leaked. Reported on Day 3. Still leaking on Day 5. Toilet chain broke into several pieces on Day 4. It was rusty. Balance of the toilet was new. TV remote missing from bedroom tv. Reported Day 2. Still missing Day 5. Phones worked sporadically. Clock radio missing. Reported Day 2. Still missing Day 5. Mold growing between the bedroom window panes. TV channels did not match those on the tv guide card. Majority of the channels did not work. "No signal." No hot breakfast on Day 4 due to no hot water in the kitchen. Missed the ‘ask for fresh linen’ sign. Asked for towels. Staff on duty had no key to the linens room. "Manager took the keys home." Charging block for cell phone was dead. Reported Wednesday. Still dead on Sunday. Some serious service/maintenance issues. Last time I’ll make a "no refunds" reservation.

When we checked in we had to wait because it was shift change, but once the guy was finished with computer stuff he was very friendly and welcoming. He acknowledged us by name, and our Diamond Member status. He also offered us our welcome gift, and confirmed what type of room we wanted. Very pleasant start to our stay. We got to our top floor non-smoking room, and noticed cigarette butts and litter all over the stairs and parking spots. It became clear later that it was mostly from the neighbours on both upper and lower floors, who seemed to be living there. They would smoke outside, and it would find it's way into our room through the cracks in the door, and the A/C unit. They were smoking marijuana as well. You could hear everything from the surrounding rooms, since the walls were very thin. The room was fairly clean (with the exception of the floors), but the beds and furniture were old. The fridge and microwave worked, and the TV package was fine. The breakfast area was locked, your room key allowed entry.. There was a pretty good selection of items, and a hand sanitizing station right inside the doors. There was also a sign at the breakfast bar saying if you were handling food items, you had to wear gloves, and there was a box provided. This brings me to the huge problem we had with the morning staff. As we were walking to the lobby there was a group of girls standing directly in front of the doors smoking. They were all staff, and none of them moved to allow us entry, and we had to walk through a cloud of smoke. While we were in the breakfast room we watched one of the girls who had been smoking, walk inside the hotel, behind the lobby desk, and make her way into the breakfast room. She didn't cleanse her hands, and then proceeded to the breakfast bar to make more coffee. She opened the coffee package without putting gloves on, and then we watched as she used her hand to wipe her nose, and then finish making the coffee and refill the rest of the breakfast items, including touching the serving utensils. Totally unacceptable, especiallly during Covid!! Won't be back to this hotel.

The room amenities were a joke. Check out the chair photos spring coming out of seat my husband almost went to the floor. The desk chair was so low I could barely reach the desk top! Hope you only want to sleep. Though room walls are pretty thin as well. I’d skip this one

This was a nightmare from the start. We reserved an "accessible" room since I am in a wheelchair. The door would not open, back to lobby, key reprogrammed, door won't open. They tried it themselves and declared that the battery was dead, so would need maintenance. Offered another "accessible" room. That's when I should have invited Stephen King in to start a novel. The room was small, dirty (esp. corners and along edges), and definitely not accessible. The hotel was booked up and I could not find anything in my look around area hotels, so we were stuck. The toilet was 15" tall (below standard height), so we questioned that. Were told it is accessible because there are arms on the toilet. Well, they must have been put in a long time ago, because they were very wobbly and of no help from that low height anyway. There was also an non-adjustable shower bench present, but it too, was only 15" high. I couldn't have lifted my leg high enough to get over the tub wall anyway. We had to go buy a "booster" seat for the toilet so that I could use it. My husband took a shower and stayed in his bare feet. A while later he noticed that his feet were black. (ewww). We had a roll-a-way for a third person and that was so old I think it came off of the Titanic. The "cot" was flimsy and lumpy. When it was open, there was no room to get around it or out of the room, should we have needed to. There was no desk or table available. The towel rack was installed so that we all had to watch our heads when getting off of the toiled, lest we poke an eye out on the corner of it. There were not enough outlets and they even had a lamp plugged into the microwave. The sink spigot was too short to adequately wash one's hands and we later discovered filth at the rim of the under-mounted sink. The wi-fi was intermittent and slow. We could only access it with my laptop, but not with any of the phones or a tablet we had with us. We decided to look around outside, the next day. There were weeds everywhere, Christmas decorations on the lobby door, and the shrubs needed trimming. One shrub covered a W/C accessible sign by about 7/8. Breakfast, how awful. The breakfast area is tiny and crammed together, so it was very difficult to navigate a wheelchair in there. The second morning we were there they had no OJ (the only juice offered) or bananas. Couldn't SOMEONE have made a Walmart run? It's only 1/4 mile away. The previous morning I had dropped some scrambled eggs onto the floor and was unable to pick them up because we were so crammed in. The next morning they were still there!! (ewww). The girl running the breakfast was too busy on her phone. At one point she knocked the cover that was over the eggs and the gravy, into the gravy. She just picked it up and plopped it back over them, with it dripping gravy all over everything. I kept watching and she never cleaned it up. What an awful experience, only topped by a place where the mattresses were so old that we had to sleep on the floor to get comfortable. That was the worst place I've ever stayed, but THIS place is running a very close second. Don't stay here.

We arrived at this hotel about 3:00am after a long drive from Wisconsin and immediately we undressed and went to bed... while in bed we noticed the bottom of our feet completly black... the wood floor was so dirty that we were speechless, it looked like we cleaned the floor with our feet! This hotel needs a total make over, everything is very old and has never been refurbished, overpricedat $89 per night. We are Diamond members with Choice Hotels and as a benefit you get 1:00pm late check out, the manager did not want to honor that benefit and only gave us 12pm after some negotiation. At check out we told the Manager about the dirty floor and she just talked over us not accepting the truth. We didn’t even want to drink a cup of coffee there...Stay away from this hotel!

This review is for the Quality Inn and Suites in Springfield MO. Do not stay there. They will attach charges to your card for expenses you did not create. They added a pet charge to mine after I checked out. I do not have a pet of any kind. The woman I called at the hotel was rude and called me a liar. She had a Middle Eastern accent and was hard to understand. It is theft from them attaching these charges. She said there was dog hair in the room. If there was that means they do not clean very well from previous guest. I will dispute it on my credit card. I will post warnings on every place I can find to warn people. 2745 N. They need to stop advertising free hot breakfast. There is a banner in the lobby and a display at the counter advertising free hot breakfast. Nothing said as I checked in that it would not be available. I came down the next morning and was instead given a "bag breakfast ". If I had known I would have got up earlier so I would have had time to go somewhere decent. In addition the place is well worn. The staff , indifferent and the ice machine didn't work.

A completely awful experience! Will never go back and do not recommend it AT ALL. I couldn’t get any sleep because there was a man screaming in the parking lot for almost two full hours. He appeared to be on drugs. The lady who works in the morning is rude, mean and hateful. Will not give you a late check out. The woman at the desk in the morning came by the room to make sure that I was going to be out of the room in time & stayed that I must be out at 11 or they will charge for another day. I told her that I already knew this. Then at 10:51am they called the room bugging me again about if I was going to be checked out in time while I was on my personal phone conducting business. I again reassured them that I would be gone by 11. It didn’t end there. Because someone came by the room a second time after the phone call telling me that I needed to leave by 11 AGAIN. Seriously?! Outlets didn’t work by the bed. Phone in room would not make out going calls. Tried to deny me using my PayPal MasterCard which is a normal credit card. Homeless people breaking into cars and lurking around the hotel. I tried to go back to speak to someone about the experience but stood at the door that you have to be buzzed in to open up and no one ever let us in. We waited 10 minutes and no employees responded. Then tried calling the front desk and it just rang and rang and rang. I will be getting ahold of the corporate office regarding the way I was treated. Way too expensive and treated horribly.

After staying two separate one-night stays in July, I figured I would use the Reward Points I had earned to get a free night while passing through Springfield on a Saturday. Should have known this wasn't going to be a great place when the front desk clerk noticed they had run out of room keys -- they didn't notice this 3 or 4 guests earlier? -- so I had to wait for a key so I could get in my room. I get in the room, first stop is the bathroom, and as soon as I turned on the light what do I see but half a dozen cockroaches scampering around on the ground under the toilet. I immediately called the front desk, and they moved me a couple of doors down the hall. No roaches in the new room, but it's clear this room has a LOT of miles on it. I saw the message light flashing on the phone, so I called down thinking someone was offering an apology for the roach room. Nope, the light apparently always flashes on the phone, so I was told to just ignore it. Next morning, I head to the lobby to check out. I had not planned on eating, but I had noticed the sign promoting the hot breakfast when I checked in, so I figured I would just grab a quick cup of orange juice for the road. The breakfast nook was closed, but the desk clerk said juice, muffins and granola was available. Sure, I'll take an OJ, I told her. She grabbed a paper bag that contained a muffin, a bag of Cheezits, a pouch of granola and a bottle of ROOM TEMPERATURE Sunny Delight. No one has ever confused Sunny Delight with real orange juice ... because IT"S NOT! So as a thank you for staying two nights, my 8k reward points got me a night at a hotel with roaches, discolored carpeting, and a bagged breakfast perfect for a 6-year-old. Take my advice, and take a pass on this location.
