When we checked in we had to wait because it was shift change, but once the guy was finished with computer stuff he was very friendly and welcoming. He acknowledged us by name, and our Diamond Member status. He also offered us our welcome gift, and confirmed what type of room we wanted. Very pleasant start to our stay.

We got to our top floor non-smoking room, and noticed cigarette butts and litter all over the stairs and parking spots. It became clear later that it was mostly from the neighbours on both upper and lower floors, who seemed to be living there. They would smoke outside, and it would find it's way into our room through the cracks in the door, and the A/C unit. They were smoking marijuana as well. You could hear everything from the surrounding rooms, since the walls were very thin.

The room was fairly clean (with the exception of the floors), but the beds and furniture were old. The fridge and microwave worked, and the TV package was fine.

The breakfast area was locked, your room key allowed entry.. There was a pretty good selection of items, and a hand sanitizing station right inside the doors. There was also a sign at the breakfast bar saying if you were handling food items, you had to wear gloves, and there was a box provided. This brings me to the huge problem we had with the morning staff. As we were walking to the lobby there was a group of girls standing directly in front of the doors smoking. They were all staff, and none of them moved to allow us entry, and we had to walk through a cloud of smoke. While we were in the breakfast room we watched one of the girls who had been smoking, walk inside the hotel, behind the lobby desk, and make her way into the breakfast room. She didn't cleanse her hands, and then proceeded to the breakfast bar to make more coffee. She opened the coffee package without putting gloves on, and then we watched as she used her hand to wipe her nose, and then finish making the coffee and refill the rest of the breakfast items, including touching the serving utensils. Totally unacceptable, especiallly during Covid!!

Won't be back to this hotel.

The price was reasonable and the king size bed appeared fairly new. However the chair in the room looked old and dirty. I was afraid to sit on it.
Breakfast was offered, however when we went down in the morning there wasn’t a light on and no one was in the office. So we all stayed in an unattended motel?

When someone finally arrived, guests on the inside had to let the employee in… followed by a homeless man who was hungry. The problem wasn’t that they regularly feed him, but that he was hacking in the food area without covering his mouth and continuing to revisit and hack. I requested sanitizing wipes, and used them to clean the counters in the food service area, which were grimy. (No one showed up to do the food area that morning). That was enough to convince me not to eat the food. My husband decided to eat and three days later- he is fevering and sick. Not impressed. Stuff happens but ‘em not sure I’d stay again.

They need to stop advertising free hot breakfast. There is a banner in the lobby and a display at the counter advertising free hot breakfast. Nothing said as I checked in that it would not be available. I came down the next morning and was instead given a "bag breakfast ". If I had known I would have got up earlier so I would have had time to go somewhere decent. In addition the place is well worn. The staff , indifferent and the ice machine didn't work.

The hotel is in the process of renovation, so there were some inconveniences. But the room was fine. The plumbing worked, as did the electricity. The bed was very comfortable and the water hot. Decent breakfast provided.

A completely awful experience! Will never go back and do not recommend it AT ALL. I couldn’t get any sleep because there was a man screaming in the parking lot for almost two full hours. He appeared to be on drugs. The lady who works in the morning is rude, mean and hateful. Will not give you a late check out. The woman at the desk in the morning came by the room to make sure that I was going to be out of the room in time & stayed that I must be out at 11 or they will charge for another day. I told her that I already knew this. Then at 10:51am they called the room bugging me again about if I was going to be checked out in time while I was on my personal phone conducting business. I again reassured them that I would be gone by 11. It didn’t end there. Because someone came by the room a second time after the phone call telling me that I needed to leave by 11 AGAIN. Seriously?! Outlets didn’t work by the bed. Phone in room would not make out going calls. Tried to deny me using my PayPal MasterCard which is a normal credit card. Homeless people breaking into cars and lurking around the hotel. I tried to go back to speak to someone about the experience but stood at the door that you have to be buzzed in to open up and no one ever let us in. We waited 10 minutes and no employees responded. Then tried calling the front desk and it just rang and rang and rang. I will be getting ahold of the corporate office regarding the way I was treated. Way too expensive and treated horribly.

We arrived at this hotel about 3:00am after a long drive from Wisconsin and immediately we undressed and went to bed... while in bed we noticed the bottom of our feet completly black... the wood floor was so dirty that we were speechless, it looked like we cleaned the floor with our feet!

This hotel needs a total make over, everything is very old and has never been refurbished, overpricedat $89 per night.

We are Diamond members with Choice Hotels and as a benefit you get 1:00pm late check out, the manager did not want to honor that benefit and only gave us 12pm after some negotiation.

At check out we told the Manager about the dirty floor and she just talked over us not accepting the truth. We didn’t even want to drink a cup of coffee there...Stay away from this hotel!

Bed and breakfast were very good, but customer service is lacking. Before letting a room out it should be check to make sure everything is working. The light between the beds wasn’t working, someone had unplugged it. Additionally, the switch is very hard to press, and you have to press it four times (left light, right light, both lights, off). Also, the television didn’t work at all. The maintenance person said they’ve been having problems with it for a while, and were waiting for someone from the cable company to come out to work on it. If things like this aren’t working (and, again, they should be checking, especially if they know there were problems) then the rooms should be discounted for lack of amenities.

If I could give 0 stars I would!! This is by far the worst experience we've ever had at any hotel!! The rooms were dirty, pillows looked like they had been stepped on then put back on the bed, there was hairs on the bed from who ever the last guest was. showers were moldy and super gross. There was dirty towels on the floor. No sense of customer service at all!! Not one person there ever apologized for all their shortcomings. Not safe, lock didn't even worked.
Save yourself the nightmare of dealing with them and go somewhere else. For the same price or less you can get a better place on the same street.

If ZERO were an option, that is what I would rated this dump. The "2 bed" room was more like 1 1/2 since the bathroom door block part of the 2nd bed. Speaking of the bathroom, the toilet would only flush with the tank open so you could pull the chain (disgusting). We stopped early to watch Monday Night Football - never happened. Told the TV got ESPN but never did even after the correct remote for the tiny TV was brought to the room. The heat/ac unit also had to be manually operated with the Master switch, so the vent cover was sitting off of it. It either constantly blew hot air or cold and wouldn't shut off even on "off". So it was either 90 or 50 degrees. At 40 degrees outside we were up every 2 hours turning it on or off. Zero sleep and a total disaster as far as I'm concerned.

Broken window in side entrance. Broken lamps in room, bulbs out. Then came free breakfast. No toast, no coffee, no eggs, unapologetic
Morning manager, blamed others for food not available.

Not a place to stay if you want even basics.

Has atmosphere of mom and pop motel. One star place that needs new management and owner.
