Great hotel 13 miles south of I-44 on US 65 South. No problems with room at all. DIRECTV with 12 premium channels, fridge, and microwave. Park right in front of door. Walk In shower was one of the best that I have had in hotels. Lots of food places nearby. No noise from traffic at all. Would stay there again if I am near it.
Easy, friendly check in. Clean, quiet, comfortable room. We found shopping and dining choices within easy walking distance. It has a large well lit parking lot and a good hot breakfast. We will stay again on our return trip.
Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and neat. The pillows were a little old and hard but doable for the night. Close enough to MSU for our visit. We would stay again when we go back to visit our MSU student. I would ask to stay on the inside of the complex to avoid some of 65 traffic noise but that was not overly bad for the night either. Nothing woke us up during the night nor prevented us from falling asleep.
Stay there on the weekend business trip and had an excellent time every time I stay the weekend I get nice service nice clean room excellent staff close to all local shopping and entertainment I would recommend to all of my friends family they have swimming pool jacuzzi suite smoking non-smoking and like I said very nicely located on the south side of town close to shopping district
I very rarely submit a poor review of a hotel because almost always, I find Choice Hotels to be really a good deal. However, the rude service at this hotel coupled with misinformation I received concerning pets, prompted me to write this review. The check in process allows for no privacy and they announced my room number publicly. This is "Hospitality 101" for goodness sake! Do NOT announce room numbers publicly especially when there are solo travelers. I called ahead of time to ensure the facility accepted cats. I was told it was $20.00 per cat and when I went to check in, I was told it was $30.00 per cat. I told the front desk about this misinformation and they did not care or apologize. I paid $60.00 extra for two cats. They also did not give me points for my stay in spite of having my Choice Hotels account number. Finally, as a solo traveler, I prefer to stay in interior rooms. Pet rooms are only exterior rooms. I will be planning my cross country trips more carefully to avoid this hotel even if it means staying in another city, such as Joplin, where there are fabulous Choice Hotel options.…
We received friendly service from Shellina upon check-in, but everything else was really just OK. Our room had a constantly running toilet which we eventually stopped by turning the valve to off. This obviously affected how often we could "use the facilities". The room was dated and dark without the lamps and the TV didn't have the regional sports channel we wanted to watch. If your stay is just one night like ours was, I say give it a shot, but not for longer stays.
We were thrilled with this hotel when we stayed for a basketball tournament. Clean and well kept rooms, staff very friendly and helpful! Great location with several restaurants within walking distance and a grocery store with in walking distance. Free laundry. It was perfect for our stay in Springfield.
Made a reservation on Friday night. When I arrived at 1130 all the doors were locked and a note on the door to call another hotel. Called 3 times no answer. Called the quality 3 times no answer. Called choice privileges they called no answer. Finally left and went to another hotel. Lost 10,000 points. Had not stayed at this hotel in 3 yrs because of poor service and rudeness. Gave it a shot cause it was next to the hiway. Never again!
If this hotel is taking precautions against COVID-19, it sure wasn't evident except for the plexiglas barrier at the check in desk which had a several inch gap at the bottom. This gap was about at the level of the faces of the two mask-less women at the desk. Ok, one had a mask but it was hanging under her chin. Come on, people!! We are in the middle of a raging pandemic! There were signs indicating masks were required but obviously that meant nothing. I felt trapped and had to interact with her to check in. There was no indication of forethought about minimizing chance for COVID transmission; she took my license and credit cards in her bare hands to look at them and handed them back to me. No indication that the credit card machine was being sanitized between customers. And the room smelled like that floral carpet freshener that is so awful. I left the door open to air it out, and that didn't help. The bed was passably comfortable. The only reason we stayed here was that they allowed pets. Never again.…
don't know why the high??? reviews NEVER again in a Choice brand .stuff left in refrigerator, smelled to high heave, rip/torn carpet, totally not what I expected. I travel on business and never will stay/recommend
