We were in the area turkey hunting for a week. It was closer to our hunting area than our normal hotel in Emminance, MO. The pros of this motel; if you are only staying 1 night, it will be good. The sheets are clean, with a wonderful bleach smell. The water is HOT. The towels smell very good. Wish I'd of asked what she washed them in. Rose is a very friendly lady. The cons of staying a week in this motel. No phone service. She told us they took them out because everyone had cell phones. We had cell phones, and had to drive nearly 15 miles to get any service with AT&T. You only get 3 local TV channels. Out of 7n nights, we averaged 2 getting the 3. The rest of the time channel 10 was all we got, and it was hit and miss. Our sheets were never changed in the week we were there. Our beds were never made. A couple of times after hunting, I came in and made them up. I was tired of looking at them. There are no chairs to sit in. If you want to watch TV it's lying in the bed looking up sideways (the tv is not mounted in front of the beds, but on the side.) Oh, and ants! Our room's sink always had about 10 or 12 ants at a time. Our commode broke on a Saturday night. I fixed it with a small piece of rope. We told her about it on Monday, and they fixed it that day. It broke again that night and I had to fix it again. If you do stay, request that you do not get room 1!!! The locals like to drag race on the road outside your room, and all night long you will hear loud pipes and squealing tires. If you just plan on canoeing the Jacks Fork River and need a place to stay overnight, then this motel will do. If you plan on staying for several days, drive on up the road to Mountain Pine. This place is ok, but not great.

Roses Green Roof Inn is exactly what it advertises - a decent and clean place to stay in an area with little to no options. TV (3 stations), no phone, 2 beds, decent bathroom. Location is very easy to find.

This was a different experience . My whole family needed lodging so we used 8 of their rooms. Even though there were no extra's everything was very clean and we had all we needed ......beds and showers... .with clean towels. The owner was very friendly and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable . And the price was really good !! I would stay there again if I go to Summersville.. We walked across the street and were offered free coffee. ...and ate breakfast at the "The Hungry Moose " a wonderful Restaurant just down the road . Wonderful little town in the Ozarks !!!

and it is a great place to stay. We have an annual family reunion at the nearby Missouri State Teachers resort and have come early to canoe the last 15 years. We have stayed at several motels/resorts in the Mountain View / Eminence area and this is our favorite. It is always clean, quiet and reasonably priced. We spend all day on the river so do not need resort amenities, just a good place to sleep. It is right on the highway, but there is little traffic during the evening or night. There is a cute, shady little park with a shelter house behind the motel. Summersville is a small town, but there is a good cafe diagonally across the highway, gas station / convenience store with snacks around the corner and another station that sells fishing licenses. We will stay there during our annual visit for the foreseeable future. The rates are very reasonable and the proprietors are friendly local residents.

If you need a place to simly sleep and shower, Roses Green Roof Inn does the job. This is a place where you'll spend very little so don't expect a lot, however the list below is exactly what comes with your stay (nothing more): 2 full size beds/pillows TV with local stations only (poor reception) A clean room with air conditioning/base board heating End table with alarm clock and Bible Very basic bathroom with towels A clothes rack to hang an clothes If your passing through Summersville, I recommend Roses Green Roof Inn for a place to get a nights sleep and a shower. If you're looking for a chain hotel experience, this is not your place. I stay here every year with a group of fellas after spending a day at the Mississippi river. Giving it a 4 based on the situation and the value.
