This is a great attraction and so well organized and scenic. We had the pleasure of doing the ride, under a full moon, on a cold clear night. It was absolutely beautiful. When you arrive, you can purchase your wine at the bar, they will take it for you at the restaurant as no alcohol is available at the small...

We stayed at LMR for a week in August for my father in laws birthday. The staff was very helpful in booking excursions before hand. We did the mountain biking and the horseback riding on the ranch. We did rock climbing, hiking, fly fishing and a tour of Yellowstone. We did a special birthday party for my father in law...

This trip was by far the best I've had in a while. Before we ever arrived the staff helped us set up a wide array of activities. Our family is unique, so we each wanted something different and they happily complied. Skiing, Fly Fishing (icy water fishing was an unreal experience, especially when we caught a few white fish), Yellowstone...

This is one of our favorite places in all of Montana. Over 100 km of groomed cross country ski trails along the edge of the Lee Metcalf wilderness area, just 1 mile outside of Big Sky. But you don't need to ski to enjoy an awesome lodge and a great lunch. Whether it's the skiers buffet, with salad, soup, chili...

I loved this place and hope to come back one day. We had a cabin that was cozy, clean and comfortable. We made fire in the fireplace - which surprised me. I assume most people who come here are intelligent and won't burn the place down. The natural beauty of this location is unquestionable. It was covered in snow. Although...

Our family from Australia booked in for the all-inclusive Discovery package over Christmas. This was our second dude each Christmas experience, as we had previously stayed in Colorado. From the get-go, there was an air of lax incompetence. When we booked in they told us we had only paid for lunches, despite the fact that we had paid for 3...

Our family of 10, from ages 5 years to 70 years spent a perfect week at Lone Mountain Ranch this past August. The cabins and meals were first class. The entire staff was expert and accommodating. The riding program was embraced by everyone, equally by adults and children, equally by those anticipating with excitement and dread. The horses were all...

The Ranch is conveniently located to Bozeman, the shopping and restaurants in the village and the ski area at Big Sky. Our cabin was beautifully decorated with a working wood stove which we put to good use. It was 18 degrees the morning we left and got cold at night. The food at the restaurant, however, was disappointing. What should...

My wife and I stayed at Lone Mountain for 3-nights before heading to Yellowstone. Less than 2 hrs from the park, it's easy for day trips or stop on the way. The ranch is in Big Sky and close to both the town center and mountain resort up the street. The place is cozy and well-kept. A friendly staff makes...

I looked online and chose LMR for it's Orvis and NatGeo rankings. So glad I did! We had an amazing time! We purchased the Discovery Package, which included all meals and activities except for fly-fishing. The lodge offers many activities and worked with us to make sure we were able to do everything on our wish list within a 4...

Chef Eric joined us this year and the dining has never been better! Randy has been with the ranch since the early 90's and he is one of the best people I've ever had the honor to work with. Thank you for your kind words about them and the rest of our team. We are very lucky to have guests...
