Although we were unable to have a campfire or grill during our stay because of fire restrictions, we enjoyed our stay at Lil Griz cabin very much. It was clean, quiet, private, and only a few minutes travel time to Glacier National Park.
After a week of camping at Flathead Lake, we decided to treat ourselves to a few days at Glacier National Park. While looking for lodging, I came across Smoky Bear Ranch. We stayed 2 nights and had a fabulous, restful time. The Ranch is 10-15...More
Our family of 4 stayed in the smaller cabins and enjoyed our stay. The area was very quiet and felt remote, just as we expected and were looking for. The town of Columbia Falls is close enough to visit for any grocery needs you may...More
We had a wonderful stay in Little Bear cabin. The owners are very nice and full of information and willing to help with tips. The cabin was really neat, clean and had all we needed. The steps to go up the loft are tricky so...More

My husband and I stayed at Smoky Bear Ranch last September, and it was fabulous, however, I seem to remember something about restrictions on children in the main lodge - but don't remember the specifics. I checked and can't find it on the website, but it used to be there someplace... maybe it has changed. There is a cabin option, but that doesn't include breakfast, which was WONDERFUL. I don't remember what time, but I'm thinking it was 8 AM. The route you mentioned for getting to West Glacier from there was a good one, and Nancy and Scott were really helpful with directions and suggestions, they know the area REALLY well! I hope this helps you... to contact them directly to find out about their policy on kids, the phone number is: 1-800-555-3806.
