We were a group of 5 and rented 1 cabin and 1 room. The owner provided us a mattress for the floor of the cabin so 3 of us could stay there, saving us from having to rent another room, while the room we rented had 2 queen beds. The place was very clean, and quiet. Rooms had nice showers,...

We were thrilled to find a cabin in Cooke City. The people running it were very nice and accommodating. We have a pet and they were very welcoming to us all. The cabin was sweet. They are very old, but clean and comfortable.

We stayed 3 nights and we were happy with the accommodations. Not fancy but clean and owners/staff very helpful. The only negative was the tv didn't work. If you want to be close to Lamar Valley in Yellowstone or the Beartooth Mtns, this is a great location. Nearby Bearclaw Bakery a good place for breakfast and pastries.

Our first time staying in Cooke City we tried High Country and newly renovated cabin 6 which is part of a duplex cabin that can be rented as two rooms or either 5 or 6 as a single room. The owners seemed proud of their establishment and honestly concerned with how our stay was. We also learned some history of...

High Country Motel and Cabins consists of a small motel and 4 cabins. Cooke City sits at around 8,000 feet in southern Montana, 4 miles north of the northeast entrance to Yellowstone. The location can't be beat -- the motel sits below cliffs right on the main road into Yellowstone. Cooke City itself is a tiny town (just a few...

We stayed in Cabin 1, a quaint abode with two beds, a 3/4 bath, and enough space to accommodate two motorcycle riders and their gear for a night. Wifi was spotty in the cabin, but got the job done. The shower worked well and the beds were comfortable. The location is great. Everything in town is within walking distance. Scenery...

This was the perfect place to stay when visiting Yellowstone. We loved that it was off the beaten path in a very small town. It is located in the heart of Cook City, within walking distance to all of the local restaurants with the exception of one. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The motel rooms were clean, bright,...

My husband and I were visiting the area - camping - and got ill. We were lucky enough to procure the last room at the High Country. The staff and owner are awesome. The rooms are very comfortable. We stayed at the High Country for 2 days - mostly stuck inside recuperating. We would definitely stay again, in fact we...

We stayed one night in the unit with a kitchenette, it was very comfortable and clean. It had wifi, and plenty of hot water. The hot tub outside was a nice treat. The owner was very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay before heading into Yellowstone!
