Wow if you ever thought of going to a Dude ranch then the decision on where to go is answered. Covered Wagon by far. The way Kurt & Melissa & their staff treat you is like family while always being true professionals. The amount of rides you can do is fantastic. Cabins, food all carefully & thoughtfully put together. Defiantly...

It's been said before but I will say again and try to add elements that may have been overlooked before .. has it been said that the beds are REALLY comfortable? The cabins are just perfect -enclosed fires inside to keep warm, thick towels tied up with rafia on arrival and changed every day. Lovely Western style blankets. Modern walk...

We spent a week at the Covered Wagon Ranch in August 2016 and had a wonderful time. Melissa and Curt the owners were attentative to our every need and demonstrated a genuine desire to customize our stay to maximize our enjoyment. They offer flexibility not often found at a riding guest ranch and customized our rides each morning to meet...

Our family spent a little over a week in Yellowstone and ended our trip at the Covered Wagon Ranch. We couldn't have asked for a more memorable ending to our trip. The owners, Kurt and Melissa, are lovely people and wonderful hosts. We felt like part of the family. Their staff are very friendly and accommodating to meet everyone's needs....

As far as I am concerned, there is no other guest ranch that exists, like, at all. I mean, if you're into a bland situation with a fake teepee and a permanently erected wedding tent, look down the street. But if you want a legitimate, friendly, personalized experienced where the owners call you family and every single part of the...

This ranch gets everything right. Rustic charm is a 10/10. Improved my riding skills dramatically in only a week, while taking in breathtaking views on all-day epic rides in some of Montana's -- and the planet's -- most beautiful country. You can have absolutely full confidence in Kurt and Melissa, the owners, to put you on the right horse and...

If you are looking for a super deluxe experience with spas, pools, etc this place is not for you. However if you want a true ranch experience with gently trained horses taking you to places where you can enjoy magnificent views of the mountains and valleys of the Gallatin River, this would be perfect. The fly fishing can't be beat...

My whole family (8 of us from ages 10 to 83) spent a week at the Covered Wagon. I have always want to go to a dude ranch so my family treated me to a wonderful birthday celebration at the Covered Wagon. The experience exceeded our expectations. You really do feel like you are part of the ranch family and...

My daughter and I stayed at the Covered Wagon Ranch in June 2016 and had the most amazing stay! Everyone and we mean everyone including the dishwasher, chef, server, housekeeper, support staff, wranglers and of course Kurt and Melissa make you feel like family yet oh so pampered! Our horses, Reno and Vegas were exceptional. The rides were breathtaking! Not...

I literally cannot say enough good things about this ranch. When we arrived, Erin, the ranch manager, gave us a tour and then let us get settled in our cabin. The cabins are rustic but incredibly cozy. You are prepared with a stack of wood, matches, and diesel soaked wood shavings to help start and maintain the fire in your...
