I love quirky places - as long as they're clean and comfortable. My husband and I return when we can to Alameda's for the in-room hot springs soaks. The rooms and cottages were built many years ago (1920s? 30s? maybe later), so they have the charm of simpler days. They are not fancy - but that's the point. The retreat...

stayed here again for an annual retreat with my sisters. We missed Paul as he was on vacation. A new deck has been added to the back and they are in the process of setting up some tubs to soak in. so excited for that next year!

we decided to stay here for the first time and thought it to be a very pleasant experience. Everything is clean and comfy. They bend over backwards to accomodate our large group every year. Nice place.

We just stayed one night, but next time we plan to stay a week! It was like taking a step back in time to the 50's. See photos, we stayed in room number 3. It has a queen and twin bed. The bed was firmer then mine at home, but I slept like a rock! Soak in the hot springs...

If ever you "want to get away from everything" this is the place to be. We were in room 22 - clean beds and bedding. The shower did not function. The sulfur smell is quite apparent but it is refreshing to walk on the grounds - to see the recycling and renovation of buildings. It was rewarding to me to...

Stayed in room 8. Had a great time in this spacious room, with living room and kitchenette. Owners are welcoming and very accommodating. Room was very clean and evening was quiet, making for a great sleep. As advertised, you can park your car upon arrival and walk to nearby hot springs and restaurants.

Staying at Alameda's Hot Springs is going back in time to what I remember as the old day's. The Rooms are quaint and comfortable, everything you need and the water too, one thing we forgot was a corkscrew and it was there. Another thing that happened I forgot my sweatshirt and Paul shipped back to me what service, and we...

When ever I need to get away from my crazy world I know I can show up at Alameda's and life will slow down for a bit. Sweet rooms with kitchens and lovely sun deck to read or drink my wonderful morning coffee and pumpkin bread that Paul has brought out to share.

Recently stayed in room 1 at Alameda's Hot Springs and really enjoyed it. Accommodations, atleast ours, had a small kitchen and living room. Bathroom had a jetted tub that the wife and i were able to squeeze into. Rooms were pretty clean. A few years ago we stayed at Symes, and what a difference between the two. Alameda's is like...

hate to tell you all about this place because it would be nice to keep it a secret! Comfortable, clean rooms, great coffee and bread in the morning, very friendly, family atmosphere. Even with a power outage, we had hot strong coffee in the morning. Paul is very accommodating.
