I was attracted to this motel by the glowing reviews, but was a bit underwhelmed. Yes, it is very clean, which is good - but I struggle to find much else above average. The rooms are basic, and small. There is no fridge and no tea/coffee making facilities (this is available in the office, when it is open). The location...

We stayed 2 nights. The owner was very nice, friendly and helpful! We had 1 Q, with a fridge. Very clean and roomy with a comfy bed. There was a sofa, desk, and table & chairs. Free wi-fi. Didn't work first day, but the owner offered for me to use in the lobby. The 2nd day it worked great! Would...

Very nice motel to stay at. Janice, the owner is always there for her guests, from 7:30 AM until 10:00 PM and is always cheery and helpful. My wife and I have traveled across Canada and stayed in 32 different U.S. states and this is the best of the small motels we have ever stayed in.

I spent six nights at Lazy G motel in West Yellowstone, based on TA comments and reviews. A delightful surprise. As with other smaller motels, it's unprepossessing and in an unprepossessing part of town, but only a few blocks from "downtown". The owner is very nice and helpful. The rooms were fastidiously clean, the bed comfortable, the shower/tub has an...

We first found this motel through Tripadvisor listed as a top choice in this busy tourist town at the gate to Yellowstone. It's a gem - friendly host, clean, well appointed, just enough off the beaten track to let you avoid the tourist trap feel of the rest of the downtown. Call or email for reservations as they have a...

I probably can't say anything new here, but we really enjoyed our stay here. A great place to have as your head-quarters to explore yellowstone. As other's have said, the style is dated, but it is so clean I think you could even eat of the carpeting! It was like staying at a favorite aunt's house. There's very old school...

This was our first trip to Yellowstone. A little concerned at first about motel having no air conditioning. We opened the windows and by early morning we were looking for some covers. The location was perfect. The motel was super clean and quite. Janice, the owner/host, was very friendly and helpful. If/when we are in the West Yellowstone area again,...

No it's not a 5 star hotel, but clean and affortable and a great place to stay if all you are looking for is a place to sleep. I can't believe these people who pay $200.00 a night for somewhere to sleep. IF you are citified or "frou frou" maybe you should check out some of the other hotels closer...

Saw the reviews and booked this cheap motel. It's a great price. It's nothing fancy, but the rooms are clean, comfortable and cosy and the owner is very friendly. We got a welcome package when checking in and a good advice for a restaurant (The Outpost restaurant). I would definitely stay again at this motel. Also have breakfast at the...

“I did not realize it when I made the reservation but Lazy G has more than one story. If you need a room on the first floor, you need to indicate that. I should have called ahead to make sure we were on the first floor.”
