My expectations were low, as they typically are for motels. I'm happy to say this was a great stay and Inn at Whitefish is run by a hard-working couple. We stayed one night, June 11, 2021, on our way through Montana. The motel is not visible from the road and it is a mile from downtown. An OK location. My single-night rate was $140 (four guests in my party) and included a better-than-expected breakfast. The rate was higher than I would have liked but I get that it's peak season for Glacier National Park. Also, I'd rather pay too much for a room and support a pleasant, hands-on owner instead of some fancy-dressed, jerky CEO in New York City. So, the room was clean, no funny smells, had all the amenities we needed. The cinder-block building kind of gave a college dorm-room feel, but I'm not a hotel snob. I know I'm being redundant but the owners were real classy people who appear to be hard workers who take great pride in their business.…
AAA put me up in this motel because they made me wait, in a parking lot, for over 9 hours for a tow for me and my motorcycle. Finally I got a real person on the phone named Matt and he went out of his way to help me. But, my phone went dead so I had to walk 3 miles for a phone. Finally, the sent a Lyft to pick me up and take me to the Inn at Whitefish. They had obviously woke up the clerk and she was not happy about it. She wouldn't even open the door for me until AAA'S payment went through. She just left me standing there, holding all my stuff at 4:30 am. English is not her 1st language and there were phone calls back and forth and she was angry and started yelling at me, but I didn't catch a word! After she had the payment, and had let me inside, as she was handing me the key card, she tells me that check out is 11 am. I ask if I can have a late check out considering the circumstances and she tells me no. Not much for hospitality...…
We got an early check in ..that was nice ..a little issue with the key but resolved immediately Room is small but very clean Nice linens and comfortable bed ..few bathroom amenities and a very small bathroom Plenty of hot water great shower ..good towels ..great WiFi .. Microwave and fridge very handy ..no coffee maker but coffee tea hot chocolate offered at 7am in lobby ..no breakfast We had an issue with the heater in the room ..owners very nice and tried to resolve ..offered us another room but we opted to stay in our room and use a portable heater ... The owners are very nice We would stay again ..the price reasonable for the area
Great location just inside whitefish montana. Only minutes from the ski slopes and downtown Whitfish shopping and dining experience. Grocery stores and fast food choices are just a block or two away less than a 10 min walk. There are several shops less then two minutes away like the Army Navy outdoor store. The staff is super friendly and house keeping keeps your room clean and fresh ready for a comfortable stay every day. I believe the building was built back in the 50's and has an old school feel to the outside but everything including the rooms inside has been updated and modernized. Every room has its own flat screen TV, telephone and Wi-Fi is available. They had a pool but it appeared to be shut down for the winter. I think it would be nice if they added a heated pool or at least a hot tub and could use a small gym. There was a dining room and they normally serve breakfast unfortunately we're still experiencing a pandemic so everything was shut down in that area for covid-19 purposes. There was plenty of parking when I stayed here and easy access for unloading my car to my room on the first floor. Security is very good here with cameras that at every entrance parking areas and only access by key card to all entrances making it feel like a very safe place to say. I have really enjoyed my stay here and I would have given five stars except for the fact that sometimes there was loss of water pressure if taking a shower around 10:00 a.m. not sure if this is a hotel issue or could be a Whitefish City water supply issue. I still highly rate this hotel and I really enjoyed my stay. …
Spent one night while visiting area. Older motel but rooms are very nicely renovated. Owners/managers were extremely nice and very concerned that we had a good stay. Quiet motel and convenient to downtown restaurants and bars.
