What an amazing 8 days we have just had at this beautiful guest house. Ali the owner was a kind and helpful man who organised everything for us. Including internal flights, diving, transfers and a Scooter so we could get around the island. I would like to thank all the wonderful staff including Ricky who looked after all our diving needs and helped my husband with editing his footage. What a funny guy. The place is spotless the rooms 5 star and I can also recommend the food here we ate here every night and the chef was very accommodating to our needs always smiling. The local people here are very friendly and always had a smile as we passed by. My husband has done a lot of diving over the years and he said Tiger Shark Diving was the best dives he has ever done. If it’s Tiger Sharks you want to see then this is definitely the place to come 100%. No one I met was disappointed. Fore sure we will be back thanks everyone.…

We stayed at TSR for 3 weeks, our main holiday activity was scuba diving. We enjoyed our room very much, as it was spacious, cosy, with a king size, very comfortable bed. Open bathroom added to the luxury feeling. Owner, Mr. Ali, very customer oriented, nice to talk to, he and his staff member made us feel at home, with a family-like atmosphere. The in-premises swimming pool is a great bonus and food is excellent. We strongly recommend this guesthouse for all who love to explore the beauties of Fuvahmulah.

It was better than we expected. We loved open roof shower and spacious cleen room, inhouse chef made amazing food. We did our scuba lessions in the inhouse swiming pool which was built for scuba training in mind. Unlike most of the hotels in Fuvahmulah this place is plenty of outdoor space with many types of plants

This hotel is a wonderful hotel to stay if you are coming to Fuvahmulah to visit or dive. It has a pool and a wonderful outdoors area to relax. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Excelent WiFi quality. Good local food, even an acceptable breakfast with eggs and fruits. Staff was extremely helpful and nice. I highly recommend it especially because of the open area where you can relax by the pool. That makes a difference compared to other hotels where you can only be indoors.

The TigerShark Residence is a great place to stay both for divers and non diver Room is clean and modern, very nice and peacful garden and inner swimming pool The place is quiet and you can relax there read a book or talk with divers the team is supper friendly and give very good service for what you need The food is very good and healthy Thank you Ali and all the team for great week

It's such a cute place to stay. Rooms are basic, but the common areas are nice. The food was very good (I opted to have breakfast and dinner at the guesthouse). The staff was extremely friendly. There's a cute, local ice cream shop one block away. Note that some people (incl me) had problems paying with a card, so bring cash; otherwise there's an ATM in the town where you can withdraw local money with no issue. Rent a motorbike - it's a must - so you can cruise around the island.

Full board, 10 days stay Feb 2022. Scuba diving with Fuvahmalah Divepoint, could also be organized by Ali- Manager of residence. Ali and team has made this a comfortable and relaxing stay. For those who liked-the atmosphere was inviting to stay in the common area for many great conversations with Ali & guests. Very open, spacious architecture, large pool for those who like to swim after diving, rooms equipped with everything you need- and outdoor bathrooms. Great food and atmosphere: If asked, the chef would cook your favourite meal-a vegetable curry for me and often fish in all kinds for other guests. Will always come again- single travel or with friends all alike.

I recently stayed at Tigershark Residence from 3 - 10 February 2022, whilst on a dive holiday. The amenities are impressive - sprawling areas for one to lounge around, big and spacious rooms, Balinese style open air bathrooms (that means good ventilation, lots of space, no claustrophobia), lush landscaping all around. If you sign up for the full board option, their in-house chef, who used to work on the dive liveaboards before retiring (so you know he's THAT good), whips up the most delicious and scrumptious meals as well. Oh, and it's the only guesthouse on the island with a swimming pool, perfect for soaking in and cooling off during the hot Maldivian afternoons. But, any guesthouse could do all of that. The above is what makes a guesthouse good, or may be even very good. However, what makes Tigershark Residences GREAT, is the personal touch of the owner-manager, Ali. He's almost always seen around the premises, ever attentive and looking out to meet your every need. And that's not an exaggeration - I would say he's almost indispensable to ensuring that you have the most fuss-free and enjoyable stay during your time on literally the 2nd most remote atoll of the Maldives. Here's some of the things he did for me and other guests, when we probed a little more on his running of the guesthouse: - Booking your domestic flights? Check. - Arranging airport/guesthouse transfer? Check. - Scheduling you for your Covid pre-departure test, and ensuring you get the results? Check. - Arranging various transport options (taxi, renting a scooter) for getting around the island? Check. - Making recommendations for one's digestive woes, and sending you home with a large packet of the local remedy? Check. - Putting together a BBQ at your request, so you can enjoy the freshest catch of the sea (imagine buying a whole yellowfin tuna and snapper, and having it served omakase style, cooked 3 or 4 different ways)? Check. As you can tell, Ali's the man running the entire show, all you have to do is (shamelessly) ask. Most of all, Ali's really fun to chat with - so even if you stayed at Tigershark Residences as a solo traveller, you'll never get bored. We had the most diverse and interesting conversations, and he always made time for us. I'm recommending Tigershark Residences to whoever travels to Fuvahmullah. 10/10 you won't regret it - just get in touch with Ali directly (you can find his personal contact online if you try a little) to avoid disappointment when booking his guesthouse during the peak seasons for diving.…

The best local hotel I've been to in Maldives - beautiful, cosy with a very interesting design. From the entry door to the room - everything is stylish and charming. Not too big, not too small, in a quiet surroundings - ideal. Having a beautiful welcome and dining area, courtyard with a pool and greenery around, the hotel makes you want just to be there for a while and chill. On the other hand, comfortable sofas in open space or a long dining table, where all the guests sit to have the meals together create the atmosphere to have long talks about underwater life, share an experience and socialize. As to the rooms, very clean, well - furnished with a ceiling fan which is more eco to use than air- conditioning. The most impressive is the bathroom which seems to be planned more to meditate than to have a shower - an open roof and some greenery. The last but not the least are thick white towels which are not common in other local guesthouses in the country where everything needs to be imported. Small things but so good to wrap yourself up in them and they are another proof that the owner - Ali thought over everything at the hotel. Ali is very helpful at booking the flight tickets, booking the dives, arranging the transfers. And Ali's suggestions or recommendations are worthy of analyzing. To sum up, the hotel is a small treasure of Fuvahmulah. Do hope to come back there, actually to both - Tiger Shark Residence and Fuvahmulah itself which is so different from the other Maldivian islands.…

Our stay was great! We just felt like home and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, simple but charming. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and they served some fluffy pancakes and freshly cooked eggs. Also the location is perfectly and close by to some shops. We definitely go back there again!
