#144 of 283 hotels in Las Vegas
Conveniently located on the fabulous strip at Boulevard South, just 5 minutes walk from the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino. Thunderbird Hotel offers enjoyable amenities. With a friendly staff and great location, Thunderbird Hotel is a boutique hotel in vegas with elegant wedding chapel & Show Room to offer a unique experience. Come enjoy the coolest hotel in Vegas to see the local sights and enjoy the action that has made the city famous. Vegas is always full of life, from the surging crowds along the sidewalks of The Strip to the dramas playing out around the tables in its many casinos. There comes a time, though, when the party has to stop - or at least pause. When your gambling fund is extinguished, the endless neon signage looks garish, and the theme-park facades seem tacky. Then it's time for a traveler to do what a traveler's got to do ... explore the what else the city has to offer, like the arts district. Nestled between the World Famous Strip and Downtown's Historic Fremont Street, the coolest hotel in Vegas, The Thunderbird, is literally in the middle of all the action. Hidden among the antique shops and vintage-clothing stores, is the city's emerging Arts District. Drive by it on any given weekday and you might not even notice pivotal landmarks like the Arts Factory. But on the first Friday night of each month, these streets take on a carnival atmosphere as 10,000 art lovers, hipsters, indie musicians and hangers-on turn it into one giant block party. Born from the legendary Thunderbird Hotel, meticulously renovated to delight and welcome guests. The bold color palate of The Thunderbird - which is so much more than a boutique hotel in Vegas - challenges the status quo. The hotels colorful emblazoned doors and accent lighting offer a retro charm. This funky Vegas hotel offers the perfect blend of vintage charm and kitsch, with affordability and modern facilities, along with scenic views of the strip. With sunny skies and poolside relaxation, The Thunderbird boutique hotel offers uncomplicated fun with a splash of mid-century technicolor. The hotel is literally a breath of fresh air in the Vegas hotel scene.

You will have to sleep in shifts if your lucky enough to get this room. Also don't count on all that beautiful tasty looking food and beverages they advertise having. You will also have to go outside to search for their wifi in 115 degree weather

I know it might seem like a good idea because of the name and the pictures and the price, but let me tell you… First of all, the staff is horrifyingly unexperienced but i’ll get back to that. Second, the information you see online is very misleading. This is not a boutique hotel. This is a downtown crack motel attached to a super 8. There’s nothing boutique about having pubes in your towels and in the corner of your bathroom or bugs in your room or having to avoid crack heads in the parking lot. The first 2 nights we were here i began to be very itchy, im not allergic to anything so there’s no other explanation other than the fact that it’s just dirty. One of the many problems i faced was coming back to my room at night and the door being open. I know this area and would never do that. I make sure everything is secure everytime. There was $50 bill taken from the dresser. I reported it 24 hours ago and still haven’t heard anything back. You also get charged hefty for “amenities” haha. I asked what these “amenities” are and the girl in the front said “uhh well we have our pool (which is a tiny musty foggy dirty hole in the ground), uhh the parking lot, uhh the security that walks around at night” i’ve never laughed so hard in my life. How are things that are necessary to running a motel like security and a damn parking lot some amenities that guests have to pay for? After having some confusion with my booking i called down to the front to get the corporate number because i couldn’t believe the things that were going on, upon the front desk answering, all i can hear is the manager on duty yelling at someone else in the background. I was also told by the inexperienced front desk worker they don’t have a corporate number or someone who owns the establishment who i can call. Again very funny. I was then told i can have the managers email or she can call me. When i asked when the manager would reach out, the inexperienced girl in the front said “uhh today”. This entire stay has been extremely frustrating and completely disappointing. update: à month later lol. A woman i spoke to on the phone assured me i would be getting a refund and never followed up or filed it so i went ahead to dispute it with my bank. a month later they call back threatening if i don’t reverse my dispute they will report me to metro police haha. if i could give ZERO stars i would. please don’t stay here

We walked into our room and it had not been cleaned and the bedding had not been changed. Once we told the staff, they assigned us a different (clean) room. It was an inconvenience since we had to wait for another room and we checked in late, around 8 pm.

. They cancelled reservation on their end at the last minute so had to rebook when checking in at a higher costs they expect you to download an app instead of giving a key card. Long queue at check in. Generally decor is quite old and faded. Long way from the strip. Other guests also had issues.

I was trying not to submit a review, but ive called several times with no answer. I purchased a room on 26th Feb, for a two night stay. When I got in the room had bad smell, the shower had mold and mildew, the bed feels like a wood box, my back still hurting, there was family above me had kids walking and push cars or bike or something across the floor all night nothing but noise. There was unsavory people just hanging around. So Sunday morn of 27th 6am I checked out. My card still has the full charge for 2 nights and it's is now March 2nd I had yet to get my deposit back. I've contacted hotels.com. If there was a Negative star it would be -5 stars this is absolutely ridiculous and noone should stay here until something is done.

Horrible service from the management team and front desk Barbra and the gm specifically. Forced to pay cash instead of the payment method utilized at booking. They also changed my card without permission prior to me reaching the building.

I greatly appreciated the quality of customer service I received during my stay. Many of the staff who I spoke with were friendly and professional. Barb, in particular, stood out due to her exceptional customer service. She went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of during my time there. On one occasion, I was waiting outside of the lobby to be picked up, and she took the time to come outside and ask me if there was anything I needed. She also informed me of the valet services she could assist me with. Additionally, she helped me during my check in process and ensured that everything was taken care of. It's refreshing to receive quality customer service from hotel staff, but it's rare to see someone go above and beyond with their customer service like Barb did. She gave me a very positive impression of the hotel, and I will definitely be looking to return based on my experience.

I can not say anything kind about a place that straight up took my money and would not refund me for a night i did not get to stay there due to me not having the HUGE deposit for a place so small of $150. I should of had it but due to a bank error I couldnt pay it. I COULD NOT STAY I UNDERSTOOD THE POLICY DID NOT COMPLAIN WANDERED THE STREET THAT NIGHT. They refunded the resort fee that they charged my card before telling me i couldnt check in so the little money i had available to do something with was gone in limbo for three days. Then the two working that night told me to contact expedia for my cash back. I did but then the manager told them i didnt cancel in time so they refused my refund. I SHOWED UP AND TRIED TO PAY. YOU ARE PENALIZING ME FOR NOT HAVING ALOT OF MONEY. CLASSY. I stayed before amd loved it here. I still had nothing bad to say i get i cant stay no deposit. But it is low when i show trying to paythe deposit and through no fault of my own couldnt due to a bank error. I couldnt cancel i just couldnt stay so i paid 60 somethjng bucks to wander Las Vegas Blvd all night. Clearly this is the kinda business that is ok with taking your cash and letting you wander. Wow. Greedy. The dollars bring out the worst in people i guess. I know we all got to pay the bills but this is wrong. Thunderbird is ok with this. I wouldnt have the nerve to charge anyone. I could of went to motel 6 they have no deposit but nope it was with Thunderbird. Low low low. I would give negative dots if an option.

Don’t stay here. This is not a boutique hotel. It’s a motel with doors to the outside. Area was dirty. Checked in and went to our room. Up the elevator, down the walkway, up some stairs, all the way to the end. We open the door to the room and it’s storage. Scary. Weird. Confusing. So we went back down the stairs, down the walkway, down the elevator to the office so they could fix their error. The girl at the desk was apologetic but at that point she should have comped the room. Then back up the elevator to another room. The room was clean but nothing like the pictures. Nothing. There was some loud music playing but due to exhaustion I was able to fall asleep. They charged an additional $20 for parking and two water bottles. What a rip off. I don’t trust places with hidden charges. I think they should be up front about it and include the parking in the price. I would never stay here again. Learn from my mistake and don’t stay here either.
