I don't know how they can advertise this hotel as a spa like experience when I can hear the person in the room next to my typing on their computer and smell their dinner wafting through our air vents. The bathrooms are old and not well maintained, the couches have questionable stains on them and our bedding has weird hard lumps in it. I've literally never had this experience in a Westin before. I should mention that we are Gold Elite members with Marriott...so we expect the best from the brand. The location is also not amazing. The idea of being off the strip is great, but there are definitely shady characters hanging around. Enough so that I was uncomfortable walking around once it was dark out. Pro- lady working the front desk was super nice, there's a Starbucks in the lobby... Con- bathrooms are not maintained, bedding is questionable, stains on the furniture, walls are paper thin (I can clearly hear the person in one room typing and in the other room opening wrappers and don't get me started when people open/close doors.) I would not stay here again.…
Have hosted an event in the conference space here multiple years now. the hotel rooms are clean and modern, with fridges! the conference space is large and great for any of your needs, the staff is friendly and helpful, any issues we had were quickly addressed. It's slightly off strip but it's non-casino and non-smoking so a nice oasis to return to after some time on the strip. The lobby restaurant and bar are great, and there is a starbucks too!
Had 2 free night credits on my Mariott account I needed to use so I did 2 days at the Westin before 2 days at PH and I'll definitely stay at the Westin again and not likely to stay at PH. Staff was nice, rooms were nice, food was good.
Marriott Titanium. Traveled to Las Vegas for a convention and decided to stay off strip so I could avoid the casinos and smoky hallways. Pros: - Location: really close to the strip, can walk to strip hotels nearby. - Titanium benefits: They did a good job of recognizing status and the benefits they provide are above average. - Rooms: clean and spacious. - Gym: might be overcrowded at times, but lots of equipment to use. Cons: - Restaurant on site: while the food is fine, they really need some help with extra staff. Was not seen for about 10 minutes after I was sat and other tables were getting more annoyed as they were waiting around for a while. Looked like there were more bussers than waiters. If you are looking to stay at a good off strip option, I would recommend this hotel. I will look to come back if back in Las Vegas.…
Its been a whle since I’ve been on back here but Sandre’s Aunt is pretty sick and so we’re back in omaha and I have down time to write more reviews so I am remembefing things from ours trios last year! … Sandre (my wife( has wawlys awnted tk get tk the Lost ( ;) ) Vegas Strip!!! Yes we know how to spell Los haha we thought it was funny to say Lost Vegas and its a very trouist thing to do but we don’t care about that anyway its just been a child hood dream of sanders. She is no stranger to The Sin City and its the perfect place tk gamble since its very VETY illegal in the AK where were from now. We were here because we wanted tk renew out wedding vows before we die. The hotel was spic n span and the view was(we’ll go ahead just see for yourself I posted a pic on TripAdvisor) attached and ever Sandre liked it because the wifi was excellent! The staff was accomidating in all ways even with sandres many needs. She even won a few of the horse bets! (Pictured.)happiest I’ve seen her in a while trust me!There are lots of things to say about Las Vegas, the city of sinister sins, the sunset strip, the Los “Vegan” but “LOST” Vegas doesn’t seem like a good one to this old bird, personally, because, it seems, a little bit more to me like its more like “FOUND” Vegas ;)! thanks Westin hotels for making our…
The hotel is just “ok.” There is nothing spa like about it. If doesn’t live up to the Westin brand name. Rooms are clean, front desk staff was very nice, but the hotel just isn’t that nice. The lobby restaurant looks more like a cafeteria. There is simply nothing luxurious about the rooms here. It’s also not in the best area. Walking to the strip there were several seedy characters. Maybe it’s just Las Vegas but I won’t stay here again. It is not consistent with other hotels that fly the Westin flag.
The entire hotel had the faint smell of sewage. I thought I was going crazy, but I talked to a group of people from Atlanta in the lobby and they said they could smell it too. The bed was comfy, but the smell was not good.
The stay in Westin LV was during busy season, so I understood that some staffing was not 100%. I had to wait for check in for about 30minutes even though there were only 3 people in front of me (only one check in agent working with multiple airline staff coming and skipping the line). The room was not ready, hence additional wait. However, besides the check in hiccups, the stay was really good. Clean and spacious room, great bed (as in all Westins), valet and security guards at the entrance were perfect. I also liked that they cleaned the room each day. Location is great, as it's only short walk from the Strip and all major places. I'll come back!
Overall good stay. Room 523. Room was adequately appointed. Some positive observations: free drink and desert coupons; free steam and sauna at the spa; very attentive staff; attached restaurant - The Good Plate service was pleasant and timely given how busy it was; free shuttle service; spacious gym; well inventoried c-store and don’t forget your Marriott card. A short walk to the mono rail, shopping and food. No gambling on site which makes it a peaceful stay - I’d stay next year.
This is a terrific hotel at a central location near the strip. It is also a stones throw from the metrorail and Ellis Island! It's a very busy hotel but for these reasons. One of the best hotels in Vegas I have ever stayed.
