The Strat had a musty smell at the entrance, hallways, and room. The sink was dirty which I cleaned before using it. I realized the next morning that I had no wash clothes. I had to bathe with the hand towel. The desk and dresser was coated with dust. When the air kicked on and off, it sounded like an airplane was taking off and landing. It kept me up most nights. I will not stay at this hotel again or recommend it. On a positive note.. the Strat Cafe had wonderful food and service!

Hotel's Favourite
I stayed at this property this past weekend for the first time. I did choose this location for the much lower pricing that was available so I did not have much expectations. I had just recently stayed downtown (Fremont street), so I was not expecting a lot. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Checking was outstanding and the the property is really nice. The room is, well, it’s a room, not why I was going. The casino floor and everyone employed at the Strat are the reason to come. Every, and I mean every, dealer, waitstaff, bartender and floor manager were completely AWESOME! Tip: get a players card (takes about a minute) and start to experience the true feeling of the what Vegas is suppose to be. I spent many hours on the casino floor, they had plenty of table options, very knowledgeable staff to assist and it was a great time. I wish I could remember each persons name to recognize, but alas I can’t. I highly recommend staying or playing at the Strat! I ate at the 24 hour diner both days for breakfast. Elliot at the bar near the table games is awesome! I even forgot my room key a couple of times and never had any issues getting them replaced. If you take a ride share from the airport you do dropped off in the back of the hotel so it is a walk to checkin. I would definitely come back!

Worst hotel ever! We travel a lot and was booked here with a group, unfortunately. We looked at the reviews and thought “how bad could it be? You basically only sleep there, right?” The rooms were nasty! Bathrooms had barely been cleaned. Carpet had not been vacuumed. You had to beg for towels/washcloths. Staff were rude and seem to really dislike their jobs. Do not pay for an upgrade as these are a joke. The area is unsafe and ran down. The only good comment I can give is that the bell hops were friendly and accommodating. Completely disgusting!

We were in Vegas for a conference + weekend fun. Due to cost, this was the hotel that fit in the work expense budget. I would not stay here again, nor recommend. Pros: Less expensive than major Strip hotels Amazing views (for a price) - sunset dinner at the Strat was worth the overpriced meal. Free valet parking! But don't rent from Advantage on-site, go to the Sahara for Enterprise Cons: Hotel is not maintained, everywhere you look thibgs are dirty, peeling wallpaper and minor broken things. Not terrible, but you can see it likely will be soon. Far from the action. You can get the monorail at the Sahara, a ten-ish minute walk. And speaking of that walk...sketch, y'all. Our Uber driving from the hotel made sure to tell us to be very careful walking at night in the area. The beds and pillows were moderately OK. The interesting thing is they told us this was a remodeled room...but everything we WELL broken in, nothing new here. In summary: Meh. It's fine if there is nothing else avail within budget.

I wasn’t expecting a seedy motel feel from the newly remodeled and branded STRAT, yet that is what I got. I was offered an upgrade to the new area for an additional $30 per night. Not what was advertised and wish I had chosen another hotel. Would not recommend.

Even though this was the only hotel I stayed in, I liked that it was convenient and had a good bit of stuff to do. Able to self check in and self check out, which was great since we had to leave and go to the airport at 12:30 and the in person reception wasn’t open until 12

The Strat has been an landmark on the Vegas Strip for many years, and on a recent trip to Vegas with my son I thought it would be fun to stay here and maybe go on some of the rides on the top of the tower. First let me start with the location, the Strat bookends one of the ends of the strip, opposite of mandalay bay on the other end. In my opinion it is too far from most of the attractions people will want to experience during their time on the Strip. A brisk walk from the strat to center Stip took me and my son over 40 mins and post this first walk we decided to use Lyft for the rest of our trip any time we left the hotel. When comparing what I spent in the end on Uber's with the nightly cost of the room, there are many places on the Strip that are nicer and in the end cheaper because they do not require additional transportation costs. The hotel lobby was clean and the casino was up to Vegas standards. We got to the hotel for checkin a little before 10 pm and did not get to our room until almost 11. All of this time was spent waiting in the line at the front desk. There is a digital check in service, but it is cloogy and doesn't give you many options for insuring your room is up to par. No (Payed) upgrades were available which I thought odd, as the hotel was not full. We ended up staying in the part of the hotel that the front desk attendant referred to the "Motel" portion of the property and after seeing the room I think this may have been a too kind description of the quality of the room. Brown old carpet, motel style beds/linens and a hanging lamp that looked straight out of Stranger Things. Don't get me wrong I knew that this was a budget hotel option when I booked it, but did not realise that I signed up for the hotel room that time forgot. We ate at one of the casual restaurants on the property and the food was fine, but based on the room and other activities on this property we ended up looking for any excuse to leave the property we could. I have recently stayed at a number of different properties located mid strip for around the same total cost and on more than one trip found that I never needed to leave my resort due to the abundance of shopping/entertainment options. Other affordable options I would pick over this hotel include Planet Hollywood, Baileys, Linq. I have also stayed at the Luxor and with the tram located on that end of the strip I think this is a much better location, probably cheaper in the long run, and an overall better value than the Strat.

but several of the employees seem poorly trained, less than friendly and give the impression they dislike their jobs. I think it's very telling that they no longer seem to send customer satisfaction surveys to their guests anymore though they used to do it long ago. I was also very annoyed that there were so few nickel poker machines in the casino and those machines were my favorites. And when I checked out I was told "our computers were down". Well how can a modern hotel function without computers? And the internet service was painfully slow while I was there and it shut off several times. And what is the story with those security officers who stand in from of the elevators at the central towers? And what is the logic behind the shower in my room that had one stationary half door on it which sent sent some of the shower water onto the floor?

Stayed for 3nights at the start of a road trip. The room was grand, the bed was comfortable. Casino had a good range of machines. The staff were friendly. It's worth going up to the top, the view is amazing. It's a little out of the way but it's just a short walk to the monorail. The food choices weren't great but IHOP is a short walk for breakfast.
