One of the worst hotels in Vegas. Don't stay here. The management is horrible as the water was turned off daily and the construction was noisy. I could go on and on but don't want to spend anymore energy on this AWFUL and VERY DIRTY HOTEL. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Now that our Renovation has been completed, there won't be any water shut offs in the foreseeable future. We've also had our carpets cleaned since the renovation completed. New mattresses, new furniture, clean rooms, and made to order breakfast are the norms.

Loved it!!! Fantastic massage by Sabrina. Perfect pressure and technic. Knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back. I got the candle melt massage and didn't notice anything different from a regular massage. My skin was so soft though. All the staff were kind.

This hotel is very run down. Carpets are torn and look dirty. Cracks in windows of our room. Plumbing not working well. Building falling apart and walls taped by entrance of pool area to gym. Little sitting area outside of pool area not kept clean . Trash cans and ash trays not empty.

1. Large plastic clip was on my floor when I entered room and 6 days later still on floor in the exact same spot. Apparently, floor was never mopped, swept, or vacuumed in 6 days. 2. After I used my soap, not replaced, had to ask for soap at front desk 3. 3 out of 4 cardio machines broken, the 4th one I had to fix myself. I went to the desk about the cardio equipment, they said it was not their priority to fix them. 4. No a/c in lobby, they had a big fan blowing a/c from a meeting room into the lobby. 5. Broken microwave in lobby. It just disappeared and never returned. 6. Breakfast was subpar at best. Monday, breakfast - egg whites with burritos. I HAD to get burritos. I could not just get egg whites. So, I threw away the two burritos. Tuesday, breakfast - French toast. Only French toast, if they dipped the toast in egg, they would not give me the egg by itself. Thursday, 1 egg over easy with ancient grains. I asked for just 3 eggs over easy. No can do. I would have to fill out order forms because it is only 1 egg per order, and I would have to take the ancient grains. So, I would have to get 3 orders and throw away the ton of ancient grains, guacamole etc... they give you just to get 3 eggs over easy. I told them very nicely. No, its fine, I won't die. I do not want to throw all that food away.

Thank You for Your feedback and our apologies we didn't meet Your expectations while staying with us. Marriott's standard for housekeeping as of 7/6/22 has stayover service every other day (towels, trash, amenities) and full-clean service every 7th day, so they wouldn't have swept/mopped/changed bed linens/etc. until day 7. I just went and checked all the cardio equipment and other than a tv monitor on our stationary bike everything seems to be in working order. A/C works, but is weak while our vendor waits for a part to arrive then will be back good as new. We are not a restaurant, so are limited in our breakfast options, so have daily specials that are prepared but unfortunately can't special order. Again, our apologies we didn't meet Your expectations while staying with us.

I had reserved a room with a specific rate and was charged almost DOUBLE at the end. Extremely poor customer service and I have been a member of Marriott for more than 10 years! I've never seen this before and I will NEVER stay here again. Please check the invoices and compare them to what you reserved the hotel for. I did stay one night less to what I had booked the room for and specifically ASKED the reception when I arrived if this would impact my rate and he said 'NO'. Now the manager says that this is written in their website.

Not sure why this surprises You, this does appear in every confirmation email of every reservation booked with Marriott. What our staff mentioned to You at check-in is that there are no "penalties" for early check-out (which some hotel chains do charge), but that doesn't mean that the terms and conditions that appear in every confirmation email of every reservation booked with Marriott would no longer be applicable. Unfortunately in the Las Vegas market many people make multiple-day reservations (because the price goes down for multiple nights) then check-out early expecting to get the lower rate. Not saying that this was Your intention, but that is why the terms and conditions made by Marriott are what they are.

I want to preface that I am of the mindset to almost never write a bad review. If I don’t like an establishment then I just won’t come back. Why hurt a business right? That said, this is a negative review that I must share especially for families with small children. DO NOT STAY HERE. The way management handled this disgusting situation was appalling. My family of 5 including 3 small children were placed at “The Elements by Westin” in Summerlin, Las Vegas while our home is being remodeled. Last Friday on March 25, 2022, we came back to the hotel to grab a few items right before heading to the airport. As we approached our rooms on the 4th floor (rooms 438 and 439), we noticed that a baby stroller was left in the hallway. We immediately realized a few steps later that it was our baby stroller that was left abandoned. One of our rooms (Room 438) was slightly opened and we could not ignore that the keyhole was stuffed with ripped up plastic bags. It appeared that people were coming in and out so they left it there to keep the door unlocked. The pillows on the couch looked as if it was shuffled around. Many of the kitchen cabinets were opened and the worst were the restroom and bedroom. There was a used towel next to a small bottle of lotion on our bed that we never used. The restroom showerhead was completely dismantled and there was electric/bondage tape around the sink area. I immediately called the front desk and a representative came to the room. He took many pictures and documented extensive notes for management to call me back. He made sure that he would let management know to call me. 4 days had passed and I did not receive a single phone call from anyone. Understandably, I was very angry. My family with 3 small kids were living out of these 2 rooms. Our privacy was compromised and no one had the decency to call until I made a fuss about it 4 days later. Finally, Paul from Elements by Westin called only after I had complained to my insurance company about the situation. Paul denied ever knowing anything about it at first. He only admitted to knowing about the break-in after I kept digging into his lies. He refused to give me his boss’ information for me to file a complaint. He even had the nerve to say that he doesn’t report to anyone although he admitted that he was neither the owner nor the CEO. Then of all things, he hung up on me! Wow! What a professional. I had to personally walk back into the hotel and asked for him to come out to the front desk since he didn’t want to speak over the phone. He still refused to provide any information for me to file a complaint other than a bogus 800 phone number that goes into a blackhole. My family have since moved back home although our remodel isn’t complete. We would rather live in a dusty home then stay at an un-surveillance hotel that does not take any safety accountabilities. Parents, if you are planning to come here then make sure that you’re with them at all times. Apparently, this hotel does not care if your room is broken into regardless if you have small children. They will only call you back when you make a big deal of it and will hang up on you if you are upset about their customer service. I will be sending this message to corporate and I am expecting a response from upper-management.

My apologies that You experienced this while staying with us! Unfortunately, while You see this as the hotel's fault, there is a basic trust between hotelier and Guest that they will secure their doors whenever leaving their rooms (whether that's to visit our breakfast, head out to work, or leave for a few days). We do not keep tabs on our Guests, so of course had no idea that You were not in the room. How would we know if someone had gotten into the room if we had not issued them a key? My apologies You were promised a call back when we had none of Your personal information to contact You. Your room was paid for by a third party, so it was the third party's information that we had on file, not Yours. When they contacted me and gave me Your number, that was when I was able to reach out. As for the phone call, I don't know anyone who would not hang up on a person yelling, berating, and personally threatening them. When You came to the hotel, You did this as well, and when I noticed that someone was trying to videotape the front desk without permission, I was hesitant to share any information. Who would in that situation? That said, I do apologize that I didn't immediately put Your name to the incident. In regard to Marriott's Customer Care phone number, anyone can google it and see that it's legit. As a reminder from this very unfortunate incident, we and ALL hotels recommend NEVER leaving children unattended. While this was a horrible thing to have happen, I am thankful that You and Your family were not in the room and that You didn't have anything stolen.

unimpressive interaction with staff. i had a package which arrived after i left. i sent them an usps label for an overnight delivery. 3 emails and 6 international calls later, i was advised they sent out my package, only to discover the following day the package was still sitting in the hotel. very unprofessional indeed.

We stayed here in during a relocation shortly after this hotel was built (see my June 2010 review). The Element was a impeccably maintained property back then, consistently rated in the top 5 in Las Vegas on TripAdvisor. We lived in Summerlin when Barack Obama stayed on the top floor of this hotel while visiting as President. The Element’s very first general manager, David Smith, ran a very tight ship. Stayed here in December of 2021 and found the sparkle long gone! Apparently, mid-century modern doesn’t age well if you don’t replace damaged and worn surfaces. The Element is now tired and dated. Wouldn’t recommend staying here since there are many better options in Vegas. The one highlight of my stay was the staff. Very friendly folks work here. The front desk personnel were courteous and welcoming!

Beware bait-and-switch reservations. Even booking through their official website, if you reserve one room type, you can arrive to discover that the room type you reserved isn’t available. I brought this problem to the attention of management after it happened once, and it wasn’t remedied. This has happened to me twice, so it is clearly intentional that management hasn’t fixed it. Breakfast is served 6-9:30 and it’s pretty good.

I hadn’t stayed here in sometime, mostly because I stopped traveling during the pandemic. I’ve stayed three or four times since September, 2021 and there have been incremental improvements but I just can’t keep trying. I’ll be trying a different Marriott property as my Las Vegas base later this week. During my most recent stay in October the rooms was much cleaner and better stocked with towels. The bedding was nice, the room location was nice and everyone working there was very nice. I love this location, I enjoy Summerlin and the view of the Red Rocks. Unfortunately my mattress was very uncomfortable, it was very token down and needs to be replaced. It’s just the last straw for me. Element was a brand that I considered to be my home away from home.
