This is a really cute property. It's too bad they're so guest unfriendly. As a Hilton Honors member, they make it very inconvenient to use their included food & beverage credit. They overcharged me for the room, acknowledged it, and still informed me that I'll have to wait over a week for a refund. The front desk attendant who checked me in claimed to have upgraded my room as I was entitled under their loyalty program, but that he could give me a REALLY NICE upgrade if I wanted to pay extra. I checked and verified that the room he gave me was the exact class I had booked. The server at their restaurant was very nice, but that's the only positive thing I can say about my experience. You can find equal or better experiences elsewhere.

Hotel's Favourite
I wanted a hotel that was a little more laid-back than the hotels on the Strip. This place was perfect. I was in Vegas completely solo for one night. Wish I could have stayed longer. Check-in at Vegas hotels can be a pain with long lines. But not here. I got checked in after only a few minutes. With my Hilton Diamond status, I was upgraded from a standard king to a trendy and spacious king suite in Ruby Tower. Bathroom was huge. I love that the suite has a little entryway separated from the rest of the room. I ate at two of the restaurants, and they were both delicious. Casa Calavera was my favorite. Had the shrimp tacos. Tiny, but really good. In my experience, the staff here were all stellar. Even just passing staff in the hall, they always gave a friendly hello. The only problem I experienced was that I couldn't figure out how to work the rainfall shower. I honestly think it was broken because I tried everything. Fortunately the wand worked fabulously; so no harm, no foul. I can definitely see myself staying here again next time I'm in Vegas, and the fact that there are no resort fees will likely make this hotel my very first choice.

The resort is beautiful. Our room was nasty as far as walls and light switches not cleaned. Chunks of stuff on walls by toilet. No fridge and microwave make it hard with little kids and babies. Fitness center was amazing! Beds were comfortable. Our family enjoyed, just felt like we maybe got a lemon of a room.

I choose Las Vegas for some downtime alone before the hectic holidays start. And, I am SO glad I choose The Virgin! This hotel is awesome! I had been here when it was the Hard Rock but I never returned until now. The Virgin is cool, off strip but surrounded by lots of stores and restaurants. The rooms are new, CLEAN, comfy bed chamber, nice toiletries, relaxing shower. No microwave and no coffee maker were SO disappointing. But the number of decent priced spots in and near hotel make up a bit. I loved the lobby bar, the Mexican spot and the smoothie place near the gym. That gym!!!! Wow! It is heaven for a fitness junkie! I choose to go off site for spa cause they were not welcoming when I popped in, so I can’t comment otherwise. They missed a spa lover! But the casino is nice even though slots are a bit tight. The employees on the casino floor were REALLY HELPFUL. sometimes you need directions cause this place is HUGE! Unfortunately neither pool is open in November but both are pretty. I took the bait after they sent me to a scruffy room and ended with one that had a spectacular view. But I wish I had gotten that room the first time! I’d certain paid enough for an off season room plus resort fee. But all in all, it’s a a gorgeous hotel so GO!

Seems to be a party hotel. We stayed in a corner suites that was very spacious. There is a $100 nightly damage deposit that is refunded after the stay if there is no damage. You have to live out of you luggage because clothing storage is very limited. Sound proofing between the rooms is very poor.

The hotel room in the Canyon Tower was lovely. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice view east to the hills. BUT there is this very loud super annoying buzzing or humming sound that comes on every 20 seconds or so. All evening and night long. Is it building fans/air circulation systems?? Who knows. I could hear it through earplugs ALL night long. The fact that the room was directly under the airport flight path which seems to only not operate from midnight to 5am, was entirely our fault for not researching that fact. If you are so wasted you’ll pass out for the night, stay here. If you need a bit of uninterrupted sleep, go elsewhere.

Stayed in August 2022 as a family of five in two twin rooms. The hotel is like most Vegas properties: vast. Very modern and new rooms showing no signs of wear and tear as you might expect. Big variety of places to eat and drink within the hotel, or if you want to walk across the road there are quite a number of strip mall places nearby. Pool area is excellent, although lacks shade if you miss out on getting an umbrella. Pretty much anything apart from a standard sunbed requires pre-booking and extra payment. There's a supposed promise from Virgin not to nickel and dime you, which is true as everything is priced in dollars, lots of them, not nickels and dimes. Bathrooms could use somewhere to hang wet swimming costumes, as there's literally nowhere to hang them when you come back from the pool. We fortunately booked before they introduced resort fees (no nickel and diming, huh Virgin?) which they honoured for our stay. Free Valet parking is a handy feature, but the one time we used it the car had been parked in the full Vegas sun and was like an oven. We just used the free self-parking after that. Be aware that weekends are 'Beach Party' times, where the adult-only section opens up and a DJ plays ear-splittingly loud music with head-pounding bass all day and night. Make plans to head out on those days if you don't want your brain shaken by music. Location wise it's about a mile off strip, so you're either getting an Uber, driving or taking a decent walk if you want to get there. Overall we had a great stay, (apart from DJ Brain Blaster), The rooms were clean and well maintained and the quietness of the casino floor is actually quite nice to come back to after the madness of most strip hotels.

It’s been since 2021 that I’ve actually written a review. We all know that COVID-19 stopped the world from traveling. It was a trying time for me as all my travels came to a complete "STOP." Well, 2022 came in, and I was back on the road! So, without further adieu, let me begin where I left off in 2021. The Virgin Hotel, away from the massive crowds that can overwhelm a monk, was a great find for me.The property is hidden away, and its ambiance is one of relief. You walk into the main lobby and there are no crowds, one can actually hear each other talking, and best of all, the casino is not overflowing. My room was exceptional, with plenty of space and the feeling of not being in a prison cell. The customer service is excellent, and the best feature of this hotel is the abundance of amenities throughout the property. If you’re planning on going to Vegas, this is your property!

Moved from a hotel close to the strip to virgin, further aware. Paid more to stay here. Turns out pool is closed (but was not advertised on expedia posting). $20 insulting low compensation provided. Stay somewhere closer with better service. Not worth the price.
