The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We brought our two small dogs and they have a dog friendly policy that is excellent. The room was large and easily accommodated ourselves and pets. They have a dog area in the back of the inn that is easily accessible from your room by going down the hall to the outside door that can be accessed 24/7. They also provide doggie bags in the dog area, so you don't need to worry about bringing a poop bag with you when you walk your dogs. The only downside to the dog area is that it is mostly small rocks and gravel, which our dogs were not used to, but adjusted to it by day two. They come by each day to freshen your room and provide any items you might need, like more soap or clean towels. The frig is a bit small. They have an area by the front desk with food machines to purchase beverages and frozen meals. The first floor is where they accommodate people with dogs. We rarely heard any dogs barking. The only time we heard them barking was if you went past their room. Otherwise, you would never know there were dogs in the inn. Pretty quiet all around.

The hotel was very clean, nicely decorated for Christmas, with friendly staff. The staff was helpful and kind. The breakfast in the morning had a big selection from boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, to eggs, pancakes and waffles. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable with plenty of space. The kids used the pool but they enjoyed the hot tub more since the pool is not heated. The hotel is not in the best area of LV. With that being said we did not have any issues. You hear airplanes take off and the are very loud and set car alarms off as they take off. They are literally next door to the base.

I can't thank the staff enough!! Before making reservations, I spoke with Rosalie because my husband and I were transporting two birds. She was thoughtful and clear, letting me know how to prepare for the birds' stay as well as what we could expect from the hotel. When we arrived, Jeffrey checked us in. Again, it was nice to work with a thoughtful,
kind person. They set us up in a very comfy room and were considerate by placing us in a spot where we had some isolation so our pets wouldn't disturb other guests. We will certainly stay here next time we are in Las Vegas.

Manager tried to make me and my 1 year old baby stay in a room that smelled of smoke. No other rooms were available and she refused to give a refund, all she offered was a air freshener. I've never encountered such a rude manager. No other hotel has ever refused a refund when I clearly wasn't comfortable staying in the room. I wasn't given any resolution, I had to eat the cost of the hotel room.

Hotel is very clean. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast. You definitely get the most for your money. If you are going anywhere in North Vegas and close to Nellis AFB. This is the hotel you want to stay. It’s only two blocks away from the main gate and you get there early avoiding the gate rush hour

The neighborhood around it looks a little business/industrial, but the LaQuinta is surprisingly nice and was a wonderful place to stay with our pets. They don't charge a fortune for your pets to stay with you like other hotels as long as your pets are good. Ours were. We usually stay with family, but with Covid we needed to social distance and just visit outside with masks so we stayed here with our dogs and it is perfect. The rooms are a good size and had tile wood look floors, and nice bathrooms. All the staff wore masks and were friendly. They have sack breakfasts (I don't think they can do regular breakfast with Covid) but they had some basic things you can eat. Coffee machines in the room and I saw they had coffee in the lobby. They have a vending machine for some extra items if you need them. I also saw they have a gym and laundry room but we didn't use them.Good price for a pet friendly room. Pretty quiet too, we didn't hear the road noise at all. There is a little grass area to walk the dogs and trash cans to pick up after them.

We are La Quinta fans but this was a letdown, especially given the mostly positive reviews. The property is in a crummy, noisy area with few handy eating options beyond McDs and Taco Bell. The breakfast area is cramped, just inside front door. Traveling with our small dog we were offered a 1st floor room with accessible bathroom. What we weren't told is that the room was also oddly shaped, with laminate floors, uncomfortable seating and zero bathroom counterspace. We almost bolted when we found long hairs on the comforter and crumbs on the floor, but we were tired and decided to stick it out (using our own blanket). Topping it off, our neighbors apparently fell asleep with the TV blaring, and the walls and floors are thin so we got little sleep. We left at 5 am, will never return and would not recommend.

The front desk associate, Jeffery, was awesome. We had arrived late from the airport and he went out of his way to make our stay completely comfortable . We ordered food to be delivered and he said that he would send it up to our room rather than us having to wait. Very friendly.

I ended up at the La Quinta Nellis due to some unfortunate circumstances. My car broke down on a road trip to LA just outside of Vegas and I had to find a place to stay with my two dogs for a night while I figured out my next moves. It was an extremely stressful situation, but much of that stress melted away upon entering the doors of this unassuming hotel. The staff (s/o Stacy) was so warm and welcoming, and the hotel was clean and extremely comfortable. Everyone was super helpful. The pool area was amazing and the spa was a much needed stress reliever. I felt relaxed and safe despite the rough patch I found myself in. The morning of checkout, the manager Rosalie was quick to accommodate several of my last minute requests and lend a shoulder to lean on while my troubles continued. I was honestly sad to leave this hotel stay, everyone and everything was so wonderful at this La Quinta location. Extra bonus points to the delicious coffee and tea always out for guests and the huge hot breakfast spread in the morning (free of charge!). It’s kinda far from the Strip and airport in an area without much to do, BUT I would still stay at this hotel again next time I’m in Vegas. Thank you!!!

There is regular parking lot. There was a truck taking up more than one parking space while I was staying at the hotel so it may be possible to arrange to park a truck with a trailer.

The location of the hotel is an easy drive to and from the track. The track is just a few miles north of the hotel. There are several restaurants and fast food places within walking distance of the hotel. In a short drive there is a Cracker Barrel, IHOP, Memphis Barbeque & DeLucias Pizzeria.
Hoover Dam is a short drive from here and you can use the Skywalk to really see the site. The Information Center at the Dam will provide you with all the details.
