The new rooms are nice but WATCH OUT at the pool. The tiles are so huge, everyone was slipping. One person fell so hard they had to go to urgent care. Security was notified and they didn’t even follow up to see if he was okay.

Hotel's Favourite
I was pleasantly surprised by every aspect of my three- night stay at this hotel just off Freemont St. Outstanding check-ins, continental breakfast (included in my package) was better than expected, rooms were clean and generally well appointed (if you can ignore the absence of a fridge, micro or coffee-maker. Just far enough off Freemont for a decent night's sleep but a minute away from the action. Had less of a "factory" feel than some of the others. Good value! Could have used better lighting.

Oh, where do I start? After checking in, we get up to our room and it is 84゚. The AC wouldn't blow cold and it ended up taking 2 hours to fix it. The a/c also had a constant rattle noise. Because of this I asked for a refund on my early checking fee and they agreed to it. they had one of the maintenance supervisors come up and check in on us, he was the most rude person I experienced at any hotel in vegas. He made it feel like it was my fault that it took so long to fix it and that I shouldn't get a refund. He was 100% fine that we spent hours waiting in an 84 degree room. They should have just switched us rooms but didn't. The room also never got below 74 degrees even after 2 days. The room was very dusty, had paint chips on the walls, and some greasy stains all over the paint on the walls. The windows were also very greasy. The pool water was very very murky and the pool deck could use a very good cleaning, it was very dirty and some of the chairs were ripped up. I guess that didn't matter, because all of the chairs were always taken when we trying to go swimming. They need more public chairs and less "reserved" chairs. Freedom beat was a let down, music from fremont is crazy loud despite being a block or more away, we did not have a good experience in pretty much any aspect So to summarize, I think your money is best spent elsewhere. From the sub par location, noise from fremont, the shabby room and pool conditions, and the rude staff member I experienced, means I will not recommend this. This was our 6th vegas trip and will NOT be back to the Downtown "Grand". I think they should call it the downtown "disappointment".

We stayed at this hotel several years ago so decided to stay again. No more!! The bed was so worn and uncomfortable. Carpet in the room was dirty. The room wouldn't cool down well despite setting the AC to 66. The room was a corner room. Facing freemont and the pool. You could hear and feel the bumping of the music to all hours of the night Overall not a great experience and most likely will not return.

We have been here before and we were planning to return however after the unwillingness of canceling the reservation after our flight was cancelled we will never visit this property again. Travel is very difficult these days and some understanding with all the disruptions would go a long way

I find this very odd as we have been extremely giving in allowing cancellations, even after the 48 hour window as we truly understand travel and continuing COVID challenges. Can you please provide me more information so I can look into this and see what happened?

I had a great time! I found this on accident on booking.com. I made so many friends on Fremont. Had the best food and best service. I'll come back! The drop off. The ubers. The staff. There was live music at breakfast. The only thing is I wish there was coffee in the room but it was good for me to go out and venture.

I just want to say April was great! Top notch customer service! April was a warm and welcoming face after driving 6 hrs and was very helpful in getting myself assigned a scooter for my disability. I was pleased with all the staff, everyone was friendly and helpful but April at the check in desk stood out!

Fantastic 3 night stay to celebrate my sister in laws 40th birthday. We were upgraded to the gallery suite and our rooms were on the 6th floor we were also given a late checkout. The room was well appointed and the coffee machine and water bottles were appreciated as you don’t get those on the strip. We did the free craps lesson with Robin on the Saturday morning and it was fab. As we are from the UK we don’t play craps so this was great fun. We managed to play $1 blackjack and $5 craps which seems pretty non existent anywhere else in Vegas. Fantastic pool area with fab DJs but it was very loud, especially with a hangover! Beware metal on sun beds gets very hot in the sunshine! Overall we had a fantastic stay, staff were lovely and friendly and I don’t think we will ever stay on the strip again as it’s so expensive and such hard work!

Stayed here at the recommendation of a friend and it was overall okay. The employees were great, the inside aesthetics are nice, and the rooms were clean. Gambled for just a little bit but the casino is very small and there was hardly any people so we decided to go to the more upbeat Fremont casinos. Not a fun atmosphere in the slightest. Almost creepily quiet. The one thing that would truly stop me from ever recommending this hotel is the parking. You have to park across the street, enter possibly the sketchiest elevator that drops you in a room that was spray painted, and finally cross the street that is consistently full of homeless individuals. Please stay with your friends when entering/exiting this parking garage. Do not go alone. Same holds true for going to and from Fremont. Very unsafe walk if you’re alone. But to end on the positives, employees were friendly and the rooms are nicer than many of those on Fremont.
