When we arrived at Aviation Inn, the clerk was very friendly. She was polite, courteous, and seemed to go above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Check-in was quick, too. The room was adequate. We've certainly stayed at FAR worse places. We knew when booking the room a month prior that this wasn't some up-to-date hotel with all the amenities of major hotel chains. We're simple people, though. The non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke. I would suggest the owners shampoo the carpet and replace all the furniture. There's a gap under the door letting daylight (and probably bugs) in. The smoke detector is missing. The knobs on the end tables were either missing or falling off. The bed was lumpy and sunken in. By the way, just two flimsy pillows for a king size bed? Really? The bathroom needed serious renovation, too. Just check out the photos. Whenever I stay anywhere, the first thing I do is take photos of the room. These things weren't enough to make us look elsewhere or go to the front desk to complain but I do hope the owner reads this review and makes some much needed repairs and changes. After leaving for the airport for our return flight, we realized that we totally forgot to check out. Completely slipped our minds (so sorry!). I called the front desk and let them know. The woman said not to worry and that she hoped we enjoyed our stay. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. Yes, the rooms are very dated and in need of a major renovation but the service is good, the rates are very affordable, and the location is convenient. There are much nicer places in the area but we would stay here again. Thanks!

Hotel rooms and furniture are in desperate need of replacement. Pool was not maintained and closed. Lots of smoking outside of rooms. Pictures do NOT show current condition of property. Neve been to a hotel where there is posted a bulletin at the checkin counter indicating the hotel advises the local police of who checks in to hotel.

Room we were given had one floor lamp in the corner wiith a 60 watt bulb to illuminate entire room. No chair and what was suppose to be the desk (I think) was half a table screwed to the wall that was falling down. Got back to our room the second night around 9 and expected to relax and watch some TV, cable was out and all the screens were in Spanish.so had no idea what problem was. Went to front desk and she stated she had to contact owner about tv and that I was not the first one complaining about tv . Woke up next morning, tv still out. Guess owner just does not care

I requested a non-smoking room. The first room they put me in was loaded with cigarette smoke! They moved me 2 doors over. The lock chain was missing from the wall to latch the door. They came in and put a new one on the wall. The knobs on the dresser drawers and nightstand were missing. The ceiling in the bathroom had mold or mildew growing as the fan in the bathroom did not work. The rug was shredding where it met the linoleum. The fabric chair was ripping at the seam. The bathtub had stains that almost appeared to be blood. There was no comforter, only a sheet put on inside out, a thin blanket, and another sheet on top. The telephone on the desk was filthy. The curtain was coming off the rod. The tissue holder was empty. There was a plastic rod sitting on top of the closet shelf. The room next-door may have been a long-term rental as domestic violence was happening in the middle of the night. They don’t care about their hotel!

I rarely leave negative reviews but staying at this place was horrible. No water, dirty towels dirty bathroom flood. Upon checkout they had the nerve to delay returning my deposit to check the room. Something about the staff isn't right. The whole vibe is unpleasant. Never again

I called ahead of time to make sure they had a pool. They said yes, I forgot to ask them i it was working because it was not. We stayed there Friday and Saturday for training. We did not have time to get another room. It was as clean as they could make it. The room was just old and yucky. The carpet where it met the tile in the bathroom was all raveled and if you weren't paying attention you stepped on the tack strip. That hurt. The woman in the office said no pool because some kids broke a glass in it. I went and looked and there was so much dirt around it I doubt that it had been working for months. I don't understand why hotels put the refrigerator on the floor. Can't you at least pick up a cheap table or cabinet at a yard sale for $10? The mattress was so worn out that it was so lumpy. It should have been put in the trash 10 years ago. I will never stay there again.

Good news: The desk person was very nice. Otherwise: Very sketchy place. Tried to save a few bucks--bad idea. Beds were comfortable. Pillows were cheap and lumpy. It appears they were washed and dried on high heat. Toilet, shower, WIFI, and TV worked fine. No in-room coffee. This facility is best suited for by-the-hour rental.

Just wanted a place to sleep while on a motorcycle trip with a friend. If you are a day sleeper forget it - too close to Nellis Air Force base with a lot of jet traffic but less so at night. There is nothing we could see nice to eat within walking distance, but not sure I would walk far in that area after dark anyway so we ended up at IHOP a block away. Front desk night person was overworked during which had to move me because A/C failed. Comedy of errors then getting a room key that worked on new room, had to steal coffee pot from old room, etc. I gave 3 stars because of the patient efforts of night clerk guy and the room was clean. We did not expect amenities from a budget motel but did not like the area.
