Here for a billiards tournament. Check in line 70 people deep, mostly singletons. Only four clerks on duty. Kiosks not functioning. First time here and already regretting it and have not even seen my room yet! Underwhelmed, will not be back.

We had a very large, clean room with a view of the pools. We couldn’t have asked for anything more out of our quick overnight stay than the great night of sleep we got in our large & quiet room. Would stay here again.

Im surprised to say it but Id stay again but ONLY in the renovated tower!! The newer rooms are very large. Strangely they don't feel completely new, more like newer. I hadn't stayed in the Rio in over a decade because the rooms have been despicable however we were in town for Super Bowl and I stumbled upon a TikTok showing the reno rooms so I booked because everywhere else was so overpriced. I admit we like the room. The hallways and elevators are still atrocious but the actual room feel so large and refreshed. They don't feel completely new though... more like newer. The shower was very nice but the rest of the bathroom felt like it was refurbished with pieces from the late 90s. The bed was wonderful. The coach and tv 10/10. We only had housekeeping service 1 out of the 5 nights during our stay. I am not sure why that was, I guess they were probably overwhelmed with the Super Bowl. If the price is right I'd quickly stay again. They have a very confusing Uber and Lyft pickup (different location for Lyft and different location for Uber). Even the drivers are confused. But for the most part its easy in and easy out. I One thing I will say is they had amazinging service at check in. We were so surprised. I even gave a small tip. Good customer service is so appreciated by me. Its becoming a thing of the pass.

Rio is under renovation and I would return based on friendly and helpful staff, easy access for Ride Share services, free valet parking, great breakfast at Hash Hash Go Go, and ease to get to other hotels and conveniences.

We went to the Rio to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. It took an hour to check in because there was no kiosk. Housekeeping was hard to get ahold of and never came to clean our room even with the sign on the door saying we needed service. We ran out of clean towels and toilet! I had to use a towel to wipe because they never brought toilet when they said they would send some. The water pressure in the shower was so strong it was hard to shower without getting my hair wet ( I don’t wash my hair daily due to curly hair)

We had always skipped on the Rio because it's not on the main strip but we decided to give it a try and are so glad we did. The room we had was beautiful, roomy, cozy and clean. Good food choices and we had fun!

I know they're changing ownership and trying to get everything together and redoing but the Rio has potential with it being located right off the strip close enough to walk but far away is not for the headache. Just the checking process needs to be a little bit better a very long time and only for employees.

Although we weren’t pleased with our first room, the staff took good care of us to correct the issue. The casino is somewhat smoky. Views from the room are great! The bellhops were a little abrasive upon our arrival.

This casino hotel should be called the Gemini because it has two faces. The refurbished rooms in the Ipanema tower are very very nice. They look nothing like the rooms in the other parts of the hotel. They are are brand new. All the furnishings are new and so is the marble bathroom. The bed is very comfortable. You cannot beat the price for what you receive. Although they call them suites to me they are just extra large hotel rooms. Do not book the unfurnished rooms you will be disappointed. As for the rest of the casino it needs help. The casino floor is dark, old and depressing. The food choices are not much better. At least the Starbucks finally opened. If you want a nicer casino you can walk to the strip from here. You can reach Caesars Palace in about 20 minutes. I don't know if I would want to do this walk alone at night. Too many transient people. The parking is free and convenient. Check in took way way too long at 4pm so be prepared. It seems to take them 20 minutes just to check in one guest. Other than that I would definitely return.

4.6 over all, so much better with the new ownership. They have just about any room that you might want or need. The new $350 million food court is good value and a very fair price points for any resort Hotel imho. Staff 98 out of a 100 with positive attitudes.
