We stayed there after spending a few days in Zion National Park. The natural beauty of the park probably made the tacky beauty of Sam's Place a bit more obvious, but our experience was pretty good. The room was clean and quiet. And the best...More
We come to Sams Town about 5 times a year. We always stay in their largest suite, which is a great deal when you think how much you would pay for a room like this on the strip.

Had a great stay at Sams in December. Good value for rooms even including the resort fee (just a numbers game). Stayed in newly renovated room, much improved carpeting, nice 55" big screen tv and always nice to have a fridge in room. Service from...More
This hotel would be sufficient for an overnight or possibly with friends. It is in a pretty sketchy area of town. The rooms were clean, but it was hard to get a good nights sleep as the a/c was noisy and the beds had plastic...More

Archie is correct, depending on your idea of a block. It's quite a walk to anything around there. My suggestion is to rent a car if you want to move around the city. I always do, mainly because I like to come and go as I please. Also, I don't know the neighborhoods that well off the strip, so I feel safer in a car than walking anywhere, especially on Boulder Highway. On another note, Sam's Town has food 24/7 if you're hungry. They have some good places to eat. I suggest looking at Google Maps and seeing what you might be interested in checking out.
