Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino offers a central Strip location that guests appreciate for its accessibility to attractions, despite some mentions of noise and timeshare hassles. Travelers give mixed feedback on the hotel, citing spacious rooms but also expressing disappointment with outdated decor and misrepresented bookings.
The hotel's atmosphere is described as lively but can be marred by noise issues and an outdated ambiance. Planet Hollywood exceeded my expectations! Early check-in was offered even before I boarded my flight at 10 am and was only $25 additional to check in at 1 pm. My room was ready by the time the Uber was picking us up outside the Las Vegas airport. Once I arrived at Planet Hollywood, I completed my check in at the self-serve kiosk. Room keys were printed, along with directions on how to find our room. The room was clean and spacious. Three pillows per bed, three large towels, hand towels, and travel sized soaps were in the room. Also, having a mini-fridge was exactly what was needed to keep water and Gatorade cold after being outside on the Strip in the 105 degree weather. I elected for a two queen room with a pool view, and to my surprise, we could see and hear the Bellagio fountains! The room key card tap feature in the elevator made us feel safe and we wish all hotels would follow suit with this. Planet Hollywood’s location on the strip made it easy to visit other hotels and stores. We saw Shania Twain at PH Live and we were so happy being able to just take the elevator to the casino floor, then walk out to the Miracle Mile to the theater. Being in the same building as the Miracle Mile was very convenient and we found ourselves walking the shops multiple times and enjoyed the food options. Definitely will be staying at Planet Hollywood if I find myself in Vegas again. Just like the other hotels on the strip, the casino allowed smoking, so it was a bit tough to breathe at some points when the casino was filled with smokers, but found that early morning-mid afternoon was the best time to be in the casino to avoid the smoking crowd.

After reading previous reviews I have to admit, I was a bit apprehensive. I had nothing need to be. We had a fantastic 6 day stay. Check in was quick, we used the self check in machines, it said our room was ready, there was a member of staff on hand who took us to the desk and checked us in there. She gave us a room straight away. And was very friendly. Our king room was bright and clean and had a partial strip view which was nice. We had housekeeping every day. The pool area was good and we managed to get the free sun loungers every visit. The drinks around the pool were very pricey, however there is free water available to help yourself to. The casino was great, a fantastic atmosphere and being Mexican independence weekend while we were there, the live music was amazing. Drinks service was great while playing the slots. We ate a few mornings for breakfast at PH cafe, service was good and the food fresh and plentiful. In the evening we had drinks at the glass bar while has a lovely atmosphere and drinks prices are generally what you would expect from a bar in Las Vegas. If I had to be picky, then the windows in the rooms needed cleaning. We would definitely stay at planet Hollywood again for our next visit

Just back from my 6th or 7th visit to Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas and had to write a review on how much it’s deteriorating and at the same time, applauding the staff. We’ve stayed here on and off since 2012 and mixed between couples and boys trips. This occasion we chose specifically to stay here for locations and amenities as it has everything we need within the hotel and within the miracle mile shops. We went for 9 nights to celebrate Hogmanay and the first 4/5 days went flawlessly. Then for 2 consecutive days our room wasn’t cleaned. I went to guest services to be told we had to request this evening tho we hadn’t done on the 5 previous days and it was done daily? I waited till later that night as we had reservations all day and returned to the room still not had being touched. I arose early to again return to guest services to request even 2 fresh towels for showering as by this point we had no fresh towels and no toilet paper or shower gel. I was told again that I had to request it that and I replied that I had. I was then promised that front desk would send towels up to my room immediately. After waiting half an hour we called reception and again asked for towels and what was keeping them. I was put on hold and after a further 10 mins with no reply we had no option but to used soiled towels. Really poor and the only saving grace was that we had booked a spa day later that day so could access clean towels. After returning from our day out and our second last day in Vegas I was shocked but not too surprised to find our room still hadn’t been made up and towels still hadn’t been delivered. It was around 2am so decided to leave it till morning to complain again. Arrived at front desk with my night before clothes on as I couldn’t have a shower and asked to speak to a manager. I was approached by the lovely Jaqueline Kea the front desk manager and this is when everything completely changed. She couldn’t have been more approachable, professional and such a nice woman. Take notice Caesars entertainment and promote this woman immediately as without people like her your business will continue to waiver!! She immediately took the time to ask what the problems had been and within 10 mins she contacted housekeeping who were at my room with fresh towels before I had time to return. She also waived 6 days of my 9 days resort fees as a good will gesture and gave us a late checkout extension of 7 hours which was a godsend. Thanks so much Jaqueline as this gesture restored most of the bad will we had experienced. All in all I would return to PH as the location and amenities are difficult to beat for the price you pay but unfortunately if they don’t recognise the great staff they have then PH will continue to suffer.

Where to begin with the issues. I stayed at planet Hollywood this past weekend and the only good thing was the location. After checking in and going into the room we were greeted by one of the mattresses being on the floor instead of the bed frame, what looked like pieces of chips on the floor and garbage in the bathroom. After calling the front desk about this it took probably about an hour to an hour and a half for someone to come and fix these things, delaying my friends and I from getting to just relax for a little bit before exploring the city. The second day we went to use the shower and realized that it was not draining properly and neither were the sinks. It took 2 phone calls to the front desk and me having to go down in person to get this resolved. I was given a $100 credit for a selection of the restaurants in the hotel to use after we waited about 2 and a half hours for 2 separate maintenance workers to resolve the drains AND a person from housekeeping to clean up whatever sludge was left over from the drains and they also left a bottle of cleaning supplies in the room. The cleaning supplies could potentially have been a big issue if I had a child in the room who discovered it before I did, but luckily we are all adults and knew not to drink it. Day 3 we called the front desk twice asking for more towels and to have the garbage emptied from the room, they told us to leave all the dirty towels and garbage outside so someone could pick it up which I did even though I really don’t think it’s my job to since I’m paying for this hotel. After a couple hours someone knocked on the door to give me towels and garbage bags to change the garbages MYSELF. And one of my friends pointed out that they only gave us 2 towels when we specifically asked for 4 of them because that’s how many people were in the room. I went to the front desk in person because I was not about to call and wait another hour for towels that should have been brought up previously. I was told that they could not offer anything to us because we already got a credit for food which I think is ridiculous because it took probably 3 and a half hours for all of the towels and when I wake door a manger I was told there wasn’t one available which seems absurd in a hotel of this size and I would have to come back later, which I did not do because everytime I went to the front desk it took at least 15 minutes minimum to be able to talk to someone. Lastly upon check out when paying some of the extra food I charged to the room I was told I had to pay extra for a resort fee even though I’d already paid for it when I checked in. The girl at the front desk was unable to give me a clear answer on why I had to pay even more for this. Wether it is $100 or $5 more why would I be paying more for a daily resort fee I already paid for ever day upon check in? I will certainly not be staying here again and advise people look into other options when booking!

$226 for resort fees for 4 nights but if I wanted to sit on a lounge chair near the pool it was $15 for each chair even for paying hotel guests. Not allowed to bring your own drinks or food in the pool area and the drinks are way over priced at the pool bar. Most hotels have swim up bars in the pool area also. Nice to relax in the sun and sip on a drink but not at their prices. I didn't feel like a welcomed, paid guest and the pool closes at 6pm. Why so early? The whole experience at the pool was disappointing and uncomfortable. Both my fiancé and myself never even one time were offered even one free drink in the casino when we played the slot machines. The free drinks were offered to the high rollers while we were ignored. We stayed at Treasure Island in 2019 and the waitresses walked around the casino often and asked us several times if we wanted a free drink. If we asked questions to the hotel staff we felt like we were bothering them. We asked several hotel/casino workers about Pin Up Pizza and a few other restaurants directly in our casino. Most of them had never heard of Pin Up Pizza but we see ads all over the place but they have never heard of the restaurant. The most friendly were the housekeepers and cleaning staff. The pillows smelled and looked old. No smoking rooms allowed and if you break this rule you will pay a huge smoking fee. But then people are walking around the casino smoking all day and night. At check in she first tried to give us a handicap bathroom with walk in shower and no tub. She moved us to a room with a tub when we requested and said we had one of the best views from our room for our trouble. We get to our room to find our view is the hotel dumpsters and thought is this a joke. I thought the hotel staff should be more hands on and educated to give guests ideas for restaurants and show ideas. They have Ivy that u can text questions but it wasn't ideal and it would be nice for older people to talk to a person that acts as if they want to make our stay more enjoyable. I don't want to text a question and get links to a website for answers. We ate at Cafe Hollywood twice and the staff, food and prices were excellent. The best experience we had at the hotel was at the cafe. Also so annoying that everyone is trying to harass us to go to a seminar to buy timeshares or resorts. They don't take no for an answer and you have to be rude with them before they will leave you alone. I don't want to walk around inside my hotel casino while being harassed to buy time shares. If I say no then they should stop and not follow me trying to talk me into something I don't want to buy. We love Vegas and hope to be back soon but definitely will not be staying at Planet Hollywood but Treasure Island instead.

I stayed in Las Vegas in September for a few days for a wedding and booked Planet Hollywood for the location. The positives are that the location was good for the casinos I wanted to visit, and we had a strip view from the 51st floor. The room was a good size and may have looked good 20 years ago when last decorated, you wouldn't want to step on the carpet without shoes. holes in the wall where the TV had previously been, no water, no classes, no coffee, but there was a fridge, the two ice machines on the floor had been removed, the bedding was clean. Movie memorabilia in our room was a pair of gloves from Mercury Rising, and a shirt from an actor I have never heard of, from a film I have never heard of, The only memorabilia we saw in the casino was a Will Smith uniform. a cheap place to stay on the Strip but don't expect much. we did get some free drinks while gambling but only the one each. some tips, next door is the Mile shopping centre, where coffee and food are a fraction of the price of the hotel, for example, a Chicken sandwich in the hotel $34, and a cooked breakfast $6 in the shopping center.

I would strongly advise against staying at Planet Hollywood Hotel if you value honesty, sleep, or basic guest consideration.
We were rudely awakened at 6:30 AM by loud hammering and construction noise. At first, we assumed it must be some kind of mistake—surely a hotel wouldn’t allow such disruptive work at an hour when guests are still sleeping. But when we contacted reception to ask what was going on, they blatantly lied to us, insisting that no construction was happening.
Frustrated, we took matters into our own hands and walked to the pool area, where we saw the construction work happening with our own eyes. So not only was this hotel disturbing guests at an unacceptable hour, but they also chose to be dishonest rather than acknowledge the issue and offer any sort of apology or solution.
This level of deception and disregard for guests is absolutely unacceptable. A hotel that values its customers would at least acknowledge a problem and try to make it right. Instead, Planet Hollywood chose to gaslight us rather than take responsibility.
Save yourself the trouble—there are plenty of better hotels in Vegas where you won’t be woken up by construction at dawn and then lied to about it. Avoid this place at all costs.

We stayed at the Planet Hollywood Hotel Las Vegas from November 26 until December 3 2024. Check-in was very easy. Staff are very friendly. Hotel is very clean. I had room number 3664. It was the 36 floor with lovely views of the mountain range and towards the airport. The room was massive a large bathroom large bath, separate shower and separate toilet all within the bathroom. The hotel bars and restaurants was great but not the cheapest. The casino was great plenty of slots blackjack craps. The only downside to the casino was there wasn’t any poker or live roulette wheels but you could play will let on the machines if you wanted. The miracle mile mall next to the casino and hotel was fantastic great shops some really nice bars. Restaurants are very reasonable prices we watched the Chris Angel mind freak show that was great. Also Billy Joel and Elton John tribute that was good. We took a helicopter flight over the strip at night that was great but my favourite was the American football at the allegiant stadium that was amazing. Las Vegas is huge with plenty of bars, restaurants and entertainment every 10 feet across the strip we went to the Mandalay Bay to play poker also the horseshoe Hotel old reds bar and restaurant was great. Lovely food and great country music . Now back to the hotel the only downside for us was we all ended up with a rash and irritations due to the bedding. We believe the detergent they used to clean the bedding was the cause of this and unfortunately due to this matter, we probably wouldn’t stay at the hotel again again But we definitely go back to Vegas

We last visited Vegas 12 years ago and stayed at the Excalibur.
This time we wanted to stay somewhere different and more central and decided on Planet Hollywood.
First things first - we are happy with the location.
As far as the hotel goes - it’s not bad, it’s just been let go. There’s cracked tiles in the public spaces and elevators. Sometimes the Elevators recognise your hotel card, sometimes they don’t.
The room we had was on the 10th floor and had a slight view of the Paris next door. The room was a bit shabby - cracked tiles, worn carpet, peeling wall paper. The toilet handle had to be jiggled to flush properly. The bathrooms and rooms are massive however when you look closely you can tell they haven’t received any love for quite some time.
The casino was lacking atmosphere compared to other casinos in similar locations (ie Horeshoe, Harrahs etc were all popping).
I’m glad we stayed here and gave it a go but next time we’d probably try somewhere else for similar value.

Stayed here for 5 nights in July 2024 in a Resort King room. Overall, it’s a pretty good hotel/resort, but it needs some TLC. Starting with the elevators, there are twelve elevators for each of the two towers (North and South), with six elevators serving the lower floors, and six serving the higher floors. Even with the elevators split up like this, there always seemed to be a long wait for an elevator to arrive. The outside of the elevator doors had chips in the paint that were poorly covered and most of the screens in the elevators didn’t work, with some of them having “scratchitti “ on them. The wallpaper in the hallways had stains and scratches on it, and the table in the elevator lobby on my floor had seen better days. The room was pretty nice, albeit a bit dated and could use a refresh. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The furniture was in good condition, but the wallpaper was starting to peel off at the bottom of the wall in places. The user interface for the TV felt pretty dated. The was no option to view your folio, check out, or stream Netflix, YouTube, etc. The internet (included in the resort fee) was reasonably fast at around 56mbps download and 36 Mbps upload speed. The air conditioning was quiet and had no trouble keeping the room cool. The bathroom was huge, with a large soaker tub and a separate shower. I was on the 12th floor and didn’t have any issues with water pressure. The dual sinks on opposite sides of the bathroom is a nice touch and would be great for couples since they could each have their own sink and not get in each other’s way. While the overall condition of the hotel needs some minor improvements, the big plus for this property is the location. Located in the centre of The Strip, and attached to the Miracle Mile Shops, it doesn’t get much better than this. It’s within easy walking distance of many other major hotels such as the Bellagio, Caesar’s Palace, New York New York, etc. The Northbound stop for The Deuce is directly in front of the hotel, and the nearest monorail stop is at the nearby Horseshoe (formerly Bally’s).
