While visiting family in Las Vegas, two of my familial hosts got Covid, so I had to find a hotel for a couple nights. I hadn't planned on spending so much money on hotels, but under the circumstances I needed to find a safe, comfortable place to sleep. The City Center Motel provided none of those conditions. The room was run-down and old with chips in the wall paint, cigarette and other burns on the bathtub, and grubby furniture. Many of the front windows of the rooms were dirty and broken, having been fixed with what looked like tape and some sort of cheap seal. The day of check out I noticed round, red bug bites on my hands and arms in a linear pattern. After researching the potential cause, I realized I had been feasted upon by bed bugs. I immediately quarantined my luggage upon returning home and went through preventative measures in my apartment to make sure I did not bring any hitchhiking bed bugs with me. The only benefit of the motel is its location (right on Fremont across the Container Park) and the free parking (the Flamingo charged me $15 to park as a guest). If you do stay at the motel, be prepared for the startling loud noises of the flame-shooting praying mantis across the street, which is a cool attraction, but you will definitely hear it at the motel. While the motel was disgusting and left me feeling contaminated with bed bugs, the office staff were friendly and helpful. However, I want monetary reimbursement after being charged so much to stay in a filthy, infested motel.…
ok i booked a room for my wife and kids and when we got there the fornt person said "im sorry but we dont have a room booked under that name" so i showed them proof he said "im sorry without a name to that room you cant go in" so i called the poilce and they gave me the room
We had 4 adults, a teenager and a dog on our trip and the 3 bed family suite was great. The place was clean and very roomy with an extra bedroom for the teenager to have his own space. So close to the Fremont street experience and container park and art district. Great rooms for the money and excelent location. The noise is to be expected, but wasnt too much to keep us awake.
As the title suggests, we made a very impromptu recison to ring in the new year in Vegas...and we had our 3 dogs. We accepted the expensive room ($262.39CDN) because of the reasonas listed above. They sold us a weird room around the corner of the building (not even within the propery and it didnt even have a room number!) I swear it was a former broom/janitor closet that they tried to fashion into a room. Everything was really run down and there was a window the size of a sheet of paper that faced the back ally. There was lots of noise in the back ally but it was also New Years Eve. The ladies at the front were ok, not super friendly, not totally rude. Location was excellent- right on Fremont street.
The two best things about this motel are it's location, right next to Fremont Street, and it's free parking, which is definitely an advantage. This motel is very rundown, and you can see it in the room condition. We had WiFi though, and the woman at the reception was very nice. In the parking area and reception you can see all sorts of questionable types, which make you uncomfortable. We spent one night here, and it was more than enough.
The best thing about this place is Beenice the lovely receptionist Our family arrived here during our visit from nz went to check out rooms and they stunk of cigarette had residents drinking and intimidating guests and crackheads loitering around yuck yuck yuck dont stay here
This motel has a great location, on Fremont Street. Just on the edge of the Fremont Street. Weekends is a riot here. You will be bang in the midst of the festivity and boisterous partying The location apart, this place is a disaster. It is very rundown, the rooms like like they have somehow survived a bombing. Everything is in a state of disrepair and yes it has roaches. WiFi is non existent People hang around smoking and drinking in the verandahs
THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! Upon waking up my first day in Vegas I had realized that the motel had double charged my card. That combined with overdraft fees left me stranded in Las Vegas without a single dollar, I couldn’t even buy a cheeseburger. The Motel assures me that they had refunded the charges but after the second week of being home, there was still no refund. I contacted my bank and Booking.com. Booking.com sent me an email on 8/16 with a pic provided by the motel of the refund receipt stating it may take 10-15 business days to receive the refund. Needless to say, I still haven’t received the refund and will continue to fight until I do. The City Center Motel completely ruined my trip and has continued burden me financially by their corrupt business practices. Not only was I stranded in Vegas with NO money; I was forced to stay in a room that was absolutely filthy. There was a bed, TV and nightstand. That was it! No place to put anything; everything had to stay on the floor. If you like to stay in the uttermost dankest of motels and run the risk of having your money literally stolen from you, then maybe this place is for you.…
We came to Las Vegas for NYE this year and thought it’d be fun to stay down on Fremont street for the night. While the Fremont street experience was great, this hotel was HORRIBLE. The room we had smelled like mold and the beds were ridiculously uncomfortable. The shower pull on the bathtub to turn the water on didn’t come up, the girl at the front desk had to come up and pull it ridiculously hard to get it going. Also, most of the outlets in the room didn’t work. We complained to the manager and asked for a refund so we could go somewhere else, but the cancellation policy was that you could “request to see the room before checking in, but once checked in you cannot receive a refund.” Which is RIDICULOUS and just goes to show how often people try to leave. The manager at the front desk “upgraded” our room to a larger room that smelled a little less and had more working outlets, but nonetheless was essentially the same quality, except for cigarette burns that were in the blankets. The ONLY reason I’m giving the hotel two stars instead of one is because of location and the manager was very accommodating and understanding about our complaints, which she said happens all the time. Anywho, spend the extra money and get something better. …
The front receptionist was EXTREMELY rude. I had cancelled my reservation via phone 2 days prior to reservation, and was told my card wouldn't be charged. It was charged, and when I called to inquire the receptionist lady was very nice. she advised it must have been in error and to call back in the morning to speak to someone higher up. I did so with no resolution so I email the hotel. When I didn't hear back I called again and got a different woman. When I had advised I sent an email and didn't get a reply her answer was, Maybe the owner is not interested in what you have to say.... Are you Serious? This was before she even realized what I was calling about. Hotel is refusing refund. Disputing payment with Credit Card Company, but would never even think about EVER staying in this hotel.…
