First I want to say I have stayed at the GN for over 20 years and love the hotel. Sad but I will be seeking another hotel in the future for the simple reason they have an outdoor music pavilion in the lot next door and it literally shook the windows until 2 am. I was always attracted to this hotel for how quiet the halls and rooms are. In the past I felt like I was the only person on that particular floor. Unfortunately this is no longer the case. I just can’t believe they let a rave party go on until the late hours of the night. We live on the east coast and naturally we prefer to go to sleep earlier than 2 am. I hope the owners of GN would do something about this as this ruins the whole stay.

The Golden Nugget has been in business for 70+ years. It has the gaudy decor to prove it. The 4-star rating sprung from the pounding rave music Friday & Saturday nights, until 2:00 A.M. (especially rooms on the Chick Fil La side, 1129-1139). The walls shook in our room, 1136. Ear plugs were provided but ineffective. We left LV exhausted! The Front Desk staff was helpful when I had to print show tickets. Valet and bell folks were friendly and efficient.

We stayed in the Gold Tower. The rooms were delightful! Definitely would recommend and stay again. Casino is big. Pool is wonderful! Options for food were good. We had zero issues with elevators as mentioned in other reviews. We lined up for check in 10 min early and all went very efficiently! Great hotel!!

I would not recommend this hotel. It is so far off the strip and in an area full of vagrants lying around on the street. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, which were not cleaned during our visit, meaning the bins were overflowing, the towels were not changed etc. Water cost $6 a litre in the shop and the whole place smelt of smoke and worse. While reachable by bus, after dark these did not feel safe and a taxi costs $25 from the ship. We will not stay here again.

While it started off positive, as the days wore on, the negatives started to appear. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a nicer room and the price was $40 a night, so we said sure! It was a nice suite. But when checkout cdd as me, that $40 turned into $90 and when we asked about it, we were told the price was $90. Well, we both heard the young man say$40 when we checked in, but I guess that didn’t matter. Rip off big time. Is this something they do regularly? Anyway, that along with crappy restaurants, homeless methheads outside everywhere and smoke everywhere, we will be staying elsewhere next time.

Beautiful property. Very clean, all staff we encountered were super nice and helpful. Stayed in the tranquility king suite in the Rush tower. Very quiet. We will be back. Great value for the money. Housekeeping rocked!

We were with a tour group. Did not have any voice in place we stayed or how much the rooms cost. Hotel was clean, but old. Could use a little updating. Ate in the claim jumper for dinner and breakfast. Food was good. Long line in the morning. Overall, the stay was ok. I’ve stayed in worse places.

Rooms are perfect size, unlike (example-Linq) others that are extremely small. 50inch TV, desk, wifi, simple shower, but near it all!! Food, slots, tables, bars, nightlife, Fremont light show, souvenir shops, the infamous pool and water slide through the shark tank and FREE PARKING!! Rent a car or grab a ride to the Strip. Golden Nugget is great place to stay without the Strip prices! Only complaint was our room being so far from the elevator. We were room 5120, Carson Tower. Next time I'll know to ask for a closer room. Check out Rush or Gold Towers if your budget allows. They're awesome!!

When my daughter told us she wanted to have her wedding in downtown Las Vegas I'll admit I was a little skeptical. We have always visited downtown but had never stayed there. We all booked rooms at the Golden Nugget (Rush Tower). There were 38 of us. It was wonderful. The staff at this hotel are definitely service minded. They make sure that you have the best experience. The young ladies at the Cabana area were great, the spa was one of the best I've ever been to. Restaurants were perfect. Food delicious. From the check in to the check out. It was great. Not sure I will ever stay on the Strip again.

I've stayed at the Golden Nugget many times in the past as it is in close proximity of my business meetings. GNLV did something with their Air Filtration system and the air is 95% less smokey and 100% no smoke smell in the Rush Tower. This is important to me because my hubby and daughter suffer from Asthma and we're all sensitive to cigarette smoke. Also, every staff member I encountered at the GNLV was very attentive and friendly. Check out the Style and Trend store! love the apparel and the tee options at the Essential stores made me LOL! so cute and cheeky!
