Monte Carlo is transitioning into Park MGM as a name change. Extensive remodeling is being done in all areas of the hotel and casino. However, none of this disrupts the general use of the facility. The pools at the hotel are not presently available, but...More
Checked in today for a long weekend. Nothing but great service from the beginning hotel/casino has some construction. But everything is clean and construction is behind temporary walls. Hardly know anything is going on. Casino employees have been nipothing but nice and accomodating
We had a dismal time here, from checking in to checking out. Will never ever stay here again. Checkout is shockingly long as is checking in.....this place is a construction site and don't we know it!!

No! We were there in October and the pool, the buffet, the shops and the food court were all closed. It is my understanding that when they change the name to Park MGM that they won't even have a buffet! It's a crap shoot at this point. You might want to call them and find out what's going on for the time you are there.
The pool will not be ready until March. This is what we were told. We used the MGM grand pool. Although it's a bit of a walk it's a good pool area. The pool area looks like it will be good on completion.

I would negotiate the Resort Fees if you want to stay here. There is no resort right now and they need guests. No pool, no restaurants, only half a casino. You will do everything elsewhere. When making the reservation, ask for a supervisor and tell them you want to stay here only if the resort fees are waived.
