We stayed here while in the area for various activities. The rooms are clean, well appointed for cooking if desired, and each room has a small private balcony. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Convenient to ferry terminal, charter boats, groceries and restaurants. The deli is usually open on site but had closed for a week for R&R. Would have liked to been able to check it out. Active nesting purple martins on the property were great to watch!

Extra friendly staff at this marina. Deli makes excellent sandwiches. If you like to fish some of the best captains and boats are located here. We vacation in Hatteras for two weeks each year and this place will satisfy your urge to fish.

First of all, the apartment was quite clean. Even though it is a fishing area, there was NO odor. If you're a "fancy pants", this place is not for you. This is a no frills, practical place. We were there with our 2 kids, and were able to make our meals in the apartment. This in itself saved us tons of $$$$$. The kitchen has ample dishes and cooking utensils to cook most things. There is a coffee pot, toaster and microwave. If cooking isn't your thing, many restaurants are close including one right next door and a deli downstairs. There were 2 large closets and 5 twin beds. We enjoyed the balcony a lot for its beautiful view. The staff was very nice, and got us a charter same day. We had a wonderful time on our fishing/clamming/sand dollar trip. The beach is only minutes away, and is absolutely beautiful. We would definitely return to this laid back, lovely area and the marina.

traveling as a family of two adults and 3 girls not only was the location great, but the efficiency room we had included a queen bedroom and three single beds in the main room. The deck looking out onto the marina and moored boats was great.

It's definitely a "lived-in" place, but really enjoyed the maze of various wooden stairs and routes to the 2nd floor rooms. Price was great for what we had.

The onsite store was a bonus, the onsite breakfast bar was more so-so, but overall a great experience

This was an Awesome place. Close to beaches and museums. Excellent and friendly staff! We Loved watching the boats come in and see what the fishing was like every evening. Several restaurant walking distance. We will be coming here again for our family vacations.

The owners (nice people -definitely a 5-star staff) are in the process of fixing the place up, so giving a 4-star review is partly based on that. All the linens were new, and the towels so thick and fluffy I took a picture of the label with my phone so I could look for some to buy.

The best feature of the room was the balcony with a view over the boats in the marina to the open water, where were could see the Ocracoke ferries going back and forth in the distance. There is also a kitchenette we very much appreciated, and the back stairs put us right in the parking lot for Dinky's, our favorite restaurant, with Sonny's (everyone's favorite breakfast place) just down the street.

We only spent 3 nights - booked late when we decided to extend a week's vacation we'd already booked on Ocracoke with a few extra days in Hatteras. We hope to do this again!

We knew to expect basic so with those expectations, it was a 4. My kids loved having their own beds and I loved the separation from them. It looked freshly painted and the floors looked updated. I would suggest refreshing the silverware and dishes in the kitchen along with sprucing up the kitchen in general.

We stayed here since it was fairly close (5 mins. drive) to the Ocracoke Ferry. It is located adjoining a marina for sports fishermen and their boats, has a shop and deli on the ground floor and is next to Dinky's, a very good bar and restaurant also overlooking the marina.

Usually the rooms are let out to fishermen who charter the boats. They are clean, functional with small kitchens, some with multiple beds, good bathrooms, balconies with marina views.

We got Room 7 on the top floor, only reached by outdoor stairs, because of a cancellation. It sleeps at least four in two bedrooms, each with single beds, but the bathroom is only accessible through one of the bedrooms. Good corner view from balcony of marina and Pamlico Sound.

Fine for a no frills overnight stay. Good staff.
