The Three Chimneys Inn is one of the oldest buildings in town and it is rich with history. The property dates back centuries and still maintains the charm of past eras. Our room was very comfortable, with a big bed and nice view from the window. Everything was very clean and the staff was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was...

I stayed here while on business and I was very happy that I did. The service was excellent and the Inn was beautiful. It was delightful to walk around the beautiful grounds. We ate on the terrace for supper and it was amazing. The wait staff could not have been more friendly. We had breakfast in the screen porch and...

Charming old inn away from the busy cities. We found this to be a nice place to stay. Staff is very pleasant. The room was comfortable. Not sure what the decor is that, Is why I say eclectic. It was an Edwardian Room but had checked curtains along with tapestry, also a Noahs Ark tapestry (primitive art). One other oddity...

My husband and I just stayed for four nights here. We had Room 19 in the Carriage House. My rating on this property is really because I felt that the antique or just 'old" furniture needed to be repaired or recovered. The areas that would have been nice to sit for awhile in the garden was not possible as all...

I had some reservations about staying here after reading some of the review on trip advisor about non accommodating staff and rooms not up to par but I am happy to say our stay could not of been more enjoyable. We stayed in room 15 of the carriage house which was awesome. Dinner was amazing, the lobster scampi is to...

An inn doesn't get any more charming than The Three Chimneys Inn. Very romantic, with a four poster King sized bed, huge armoire, large beautiful bathroom, interesting roof lines. Our room did not have a fireplace, but we will request one next time, as we will definitely be returning. We had dinner at the upstairs restaurant and that is not...

The inn was exquisite. The photos online are gorgeous but it's even nicer in person. My boyfriend and I were looking for a place near Portsmouth,NH because we were going there for an event. Since it's been a long, cold winter, we really wanted a fireplace and were surprised that it was not possible to find this in Portsmouth. I...

Spend one night here as a quick get away. The lobby, halls, and main dining room need much updating . The oriental carpets need cleaning. One could not help notice the carpets were covered with remnants from the drive. The chairs in lobby need replacing; and the hardwood floor in the main dining room needs refinishing. It does not have any...

We spent last weekend (March 2014) at the Three Chimneys while my husband worked at the University of New Hampshire. Our room was lovely--great gas fireplace, comfortable bed, and good-size bathroom. The staff was terrific--to name a few: Brenna, our friendly and professional waitress; Laurie at the front desk; Elaine in the Tavern; and several other very helpful people. Everyone...

We live in Upstate New York and our son lives and works in Durham, NH and had suggested we try the Three Chimneys Inn as an alternative to staying in the big box chain hotels in Durham or Dover. Last weekend was our third time we have stayed at the Three Chimneys Inn and we haven’t been disappointed yet. We...
