This hut is a welcome site after hiking up and down dale for hours (7 -8 h from Green Leaf Hut). One of the most popular of the Appalachian Mountain Club establishments it is well appointed with comfortable and small dorms (around 10 bunks each)....More

This is one of the trickier climbs. Galehead is remote but well worth it. Excellent food, staff and sleeping quarters. I love how the staff wakes you up with music and song. Another terrific AMC service. Keep up the great work AMC!
