After staying at this campsite and having the experience I did, I thought I would read the reviews on it at Tripadvisor. Apparantly I should have done that before I booked it. I, too, had the same experience with the rude woman in the office whereas I was barely creeping in the truck and was yelled at to slow down...

After reading some of the reviews here, I was really questioning if I should take my six year old there. I did like that even the negative reviews stressed a strict 'rules' policy. Anyway, after a day at Hampton Beach, I got a tent site. First, the woman at the office was really nice! She gave us some tips on...

My family has camped in this campground for years and when ever I visited it was an awful experience. From the time that my son was 2 and he is 24 now. My parents were seasonal and I always wanted to visit my parents so I would have to go to this terrible campground. The lady in the office treats...

My wife and I were looking to stay at this camp ground and drive there to check it out. But after being treated in the worst way by the worlds rudest woman I can only express my relief and say we are luckier than those who did. We are decent and polite people but were talked to like errant children...

The campground is surrounded by marshland and the bugs are terrible! Some sites have power lines running above them. Bathrooms leave much to be desired. Pool area only has a port-a-john--- that's aweful! This is more like a retirement community than a campground. Most of the sites are occupied by seasonal renters in large units. There are more "do this/don't...

My family and I just returned from a 5 day camping trip to Tidewater Campground. Our first impression was very well maintained grounds. The lady in the office was nice, but not extremely friendly. We had read the reviews and their website prior to visiting, so we well aware of all the rules. We were driving to our campsite @...

THis campground should have a big sign 55+ community because the owner really doesn't want anyone younger than that to stay here. She is cold, rude and unfriendly. I have been to many campgrounds and all of them have rules - but this women is out of her mind with her "list". Yes it looks nice and it actually looks...

This is not the place to go if you want to be on vacation. The owners are rude-too many rules to follow-and we got yelled at for having a campfire at 9:30 at night-stupid considering its not even dark till 9 pm.Oh,and do baby steps when you walk-you cant walk fast or you will get yelled at.I will never stay there...

Rules are fine.. they are actually expected. However, at tidewater, they feel the need to enforce their rules with yelling, rudeness and threats. As far as I am concerned, I am an extremely polite person and follow all rules, but I have never felt so angry after dealing with their staff. As other reviews have stated, the speed limit is...

after staying at the Tidewater Campground twice (July 2006,2007) I am disappointed to read the negative reviews given for this campground. Having been to many campgrounds over the years, I think this is the first campground where I came home after a week's stay "rested!!" Yes I will agree there are rules, but in my opinion this is the first...
