Worst hotel stay of my life. It looked like the room hadn’t been cleaned in months. Grime everywhere, moldy and dirty bathroom, overflowing cigarette dish on the balcony, carpet/fridge/walls covered in god knows what. The second I saw it I asked if I could cancel my stay. They refused as the fine print says your first night is non-refundable. Apparently there’s no minimum standard of cleanliness to go along with that requirement. I was there for my 40th birthday and the only good part was the laughs from friends when they saw the room.

Stayed at this hotel several time in the past. It's an older hotel, but WAS very well kept. This time it was somewhat dirty. No vacuuming under the bed. Sand and debris under there. Bath room baseboards had not been wiped down at all, very dirty. Paint was peeling outside on the deck area. Pool outback was clean but the liner was all wrinkled. Some of the white plastic chairs were all mildew. The only plus is the hotel is on the main street and just a walk across the street from the beach. It appears to be wheelchair accessible as a sign in the lobby says there is a back door wheelchair ramp, They do have housekeeping, but you have to ask for it daily. They won't just come in and clean. All rooms are non smoking, but you can smoke on the outdoor decks that every room has. But the smoke travels as there are no partitions to each rooms' deck.…

My daughter and I had our annual Hampton Beach getaway. We had stayed at another hotel down the road. A BIGGER hotel. Bigger isn’t always better. The owners and other people who worked there were like family. I really look forward to going back next year.

Broken glass on the floor and and actually no heat!! By time I realized I had to use the tiny portable heater we were sleeping in a hoodie and took three hours to heat room. We thought we were getting an ocean view, we got a nasty garbage view. Water wasn't working and had to figure out we need to turn it on. Not that clean and no better than a run down building

I have read all the reviews on this hotel, I have to agree with most of them. This hotel is in bad need of a major upgrade. I doubt that will happen, it appears that the current management only is interested in making the money and let the hotel go. That said, I want to say we were not surprise at what we saw. The room we had was small, somewhat clean, everything was old. The balcony was nice. We had to wait each time we needed to stop at the front desk, this person was doing double duty. We could not turn the shower water on, so I walked down to the lobby to get help. When I got someone to check our shower, it took two hands to pull the knob to start the water, my wife could not do this either time she used it. No phones in the room, an intercom system is the only way to talk to someone, maybe. The bathroom had a lot of beach sand on the floor, obviously not cleaned, and the toilet area really smelled (urine) badly . . The parking lot is at the end of "H" street, which if you have a lot of luggage, GOOD LUCK. This was an okay room for our stay, as we did not expect to stay in the room beyond a quick shower and sleep. This is really a basic room situation. The only good thing is you are only 25 steps from the beach, is this worth the cost. We paid $230 for one night, not bad but outside of the location, it was not worth this amount. The staff does need to develop some people skills and they need to be around more often. Would we stay here again, I doubt it but who knows..... …

Absolutely and completley dirty. Mold in bathroom sink and shower curtain. Bathtub hasn't been scrubbed in months. Carpets all worn down and dirty. At $175/night I expect significantly cleaner. The entire property needs a complete, thorough deep-clean before I would consider placing my family there again.

This place is a sever disappointment, especially for the cost the only thing it has going for it is the location. Sheets were dirty, rooms are small, no coffee old and run down, sink wouldn’t drain. Building was moving during our stay from the wind left after 1st night. owner and crew have horrible customer service skills. Followed us out side while loading up during poring rain to make sure we returned our key, would not recommend this place ever.

Aside from a great location, everything else was a disappointment. The building was very old,tired, and poorly maintained. I understand that Covid means we need to make allowances, but there was no housekeeping. Deer flies swarmed the pool area, there was no phone in the room. No in room coffee. There was an ice machine on a seperate floor, but the ice bucket was too dirty for me to use. The room itself was so small that you needed to turn sideways and crab walk to get past the bed. I just expected better for a single costing $200 a night mid-week the end of June.

We stayed at the Hillcrest Inn for one night. The room was perfect. It was clean, the shower provided hot water and the beds were comfy. When we checked out the next day we wanted to stay in the area and Shaq was so nice and held our luggage for us until we were ready to leave. I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect.

This place is dirty and poorly managed. Free shampoo was half full and obviously used. Bathroom door would not shut. Clutter in the hallways. You get two washcloths and two small size bath towels, no hand towels.No maid service during your stay.
