Throughout the entire time, I have my son with me and by now he is sitting in the car, hungry, tired and just wanted to go to sleep.
I have reported this to priceline and I am hoping they don't do business with them anymore.
You should be very careful with places like this one.

This was the 2nd time the room was dirty. Yesterday we arrived in the room and there was a dirty and dusty counter; obviously not washed after the previous guests. The coffee pot had old coffee in it. The drapes and windows were also very old, half-hanging and not clean. The whole room had a dark, dank, and dirty look and feel about it. But the worse part was when we went to bed. We pulled down the sheets and they were dirty. There was someone else's hair and sand in the bed! It was rather late, the owners were probably sleeping, and we were so tired that we just slept on our beach towels.
In the morning we tried to tell the owner. I thought she would want to know. She is a very nice and delightful Indian lady, but said "oh she probably forgot" (to change the sheets), as she shrugged her shoulders. She didn't act surprised or upset at all. Sort of like saying, oh well, no big deal.
At that point her husband stormed into the office and started scolding my son for taking ice from the ice machine. He said "ice is for glasses, not for cooler", (but this cooler only held a 6-pack of soda). He probably took about 2 glasses worth of ice. By this time we were so stunned that we just walked out. We were not offered any apologies or any thank you's.
I would not recommend spending the night at this motel.
DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR. This place has bed bugs for sure, very disgusting. I can't believe they are still open. When we got here our room was still being "cleaned" we had to wait for about 3 hours. Once we entered our room it was still dirty. The bathroom door doesn't close at all. The kitchenette was filthy. I suggest no one stays here, unless you prefer bedbugs. DO NOT STAY HERE EVER. RUN.
We swam for a little bit then took the kids back. The next morning, upon advice we stopped payment on the credit card for the 2nd night and checked out of the hotel. We headed to the Emerald isle to find that -surprise!- our room was no longer available. Her vacancy sign was still lit and while we were in the office she was in the process of sending a young guy to our previous hotel. He too stopped in because the vacancy sign was lit.
She sent us to swim for a bit and told us to wait because she might have a late checkout due to the Nascar race. While swimming we could see that the room she had "saved" for us was still vacant. Less than an hour later she called me over to say there would be no rooms. She said we would need to leave in 1/2 an hour. We found a hotel up the road and were packing the kids up to leave. She then came out and asked us what was up. When we told her where we found another place she made a face - she then encouraged us to let the kids stay and swim----very flip--- or come back later. Not gonna happen. We said thank you politely for the help and headed out. We will not return to this hotel as long as it is under the same management.
