At first glance, as you approach the hotel from the outside, Hampton Falls Inn appears to be a modern, updated hotel. However, the outside appearance is deceiving. Inside, the front lobby is rather bland and unappealing, a front desk counter, a somewhat modern flat screen tv on the back wall facing the counter, and a few sitting chairs. Inside the main hallway, the wallpaper is outdated, and a musty, damp, uninviting odor fills the air. Inside room 117, the first thing I notice is the closet space, a rather unnecessarily large space with a rack, a few hangers, and no doors. To the left was a typical basic, unimpressive, hotel bathroom. In the main hotel room area, there was a small couch, a bed with decent sheets, a lamp on a night stand next to the bed, and a small, old tv sitting on a dresser facing the bed and couch. On the other side of the bed was a sliding door which, to my surprise, opened up to a small balcony. However, I wasn't really impressed because of the noise from all the passing cars The small couch was, to me, disgusting. It had a torn cushion, and there were visible stains. I had no interest on sitting on this couch. My biggest disappointment with the room was the tv. While staying at any hotel, I simply want to sit and relax while watching a movie. But this TV was old and small. I turned on the tv, and the picture was dark, and it was much smaller than the screen size. This tv maybe had a 25" screen and the actual image was perhaps no larger than 15." I booked and paid for two nights, but decided not to stay for more than one. Given that the smell of the room was unpleasant, and I simply would not be able to enjoy watching tv on that small tv while sitting on a disgusting couch, I asked the hotel to cancel and issue a refund for the 2nd night. Surprise, surprise, they refused. Rather than stay for even one night, I simply abandoned the room and went to another hotel. A complete waist of $248.76. My strong advice to anyone planning on staying here, DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE. They will not give you a refund for any reason. More importantly, INSIST ON VIEWING THE ROOM PRIOR TO CHECKING IN. Oh, wear a mask, not for covid, but for the smell. To me, the Hampton Falls Inn is a complete waist of money, unless you don't mind the smell, and don't mind watching outdated, small tv sets. Personally, if I can't enjoy my time at a hotel, its worth spending extra money for a better quality hotel somewhere else. Hampton Falls Inn is NOT A QUALITY HOTEL. In my book, NOT even a decent hotel. Thank you.…
