Our room was cramped and the grounds were not well kept. Staff was distant and not very friendly. The bathroom was tiny. The closet was bigger. We did like the breakfast muffins. And the egg dish was innovative.

Hello, Elaine - Thank you for staying with us. We understand you chose the smallest room, it might have been that it was the lowest cost room at the time of booking, and then you must have had regrets. I showed you the room and you seemed to like it at that time. I know you were disappointed that we...

If I could give this place another star I would! The new owners pride in their establishment is evident . From the moment you open the door and hear the soothing music, you can feel yourself relax. Beautiful furnishings, antiques galore and the most beautiful wide plank floors I have ever seen! We were in room 2 and it was...

Authentic New England, warm, charming, spotlessly clean, wonderfully attentive staff who go above & beyond, and food to die for. We couldn't have asked for more for our daughter's wedding weekend. Our family, several close friends and the bridal party stayed here. We took over the entire inn.The upper carriage house rooms were a perfect place for the bridal party...

We couldn't get a room at the inn, but we enjoyed our anniversary dinner here, and it was spectacular! Everything on the menu looked fabulous: fresh, interesting, delicious. We started with margaritas, and the warm crusty bread with fresh butter was perfect. For salads, we ordered the fresh green salad with a variety of lettuces from the garden, and the...

Thank you so much for taking the time for writing this review. It was a pleasure to have you as our dinner guests. Next time, we hope there will be a room available - you might even want to try our cooking classes (offered once a month) that end with a dinner party. Best - Jeff

Hello there, My wife and I recently stayed at the Colby Hill Inn. We were attending a wedding in the area, and by good fortune found this B and B. What a find !!!! The new owner's were fantastic. One is a former executive chef and restaurant owner from NYC and DC. His food is phenomenal. We have dined globally...

Our stay was brief but this place was absolutely wonderful. Charming old home/carriage house style place. Affordable. Great breakfast. Large, beautiful property with gardens and open lawn. Also there are goats. I would come back again if traveling through New Hampshire!

The service was exceptional here. We stayed here in a suite which overlooked the pool. Very private and nice. The absolute best food that we have ever had in our lives. We had salads, potatoe pirogues, rib eye steak and beautiful desserts. There is this great garlic goat cheese butter that is to die for. The next morning, a five...

Had the opportunity to stay at Colby Hill Inn this past week and it was wonderful. The new owners, Bruce and Jeff, clearly have gone all out to update the inn and are transforming it into a knockout. We spent hours entranced by the birds and goats (ask if you can join in on the goat walk!) The grounds are...

While we didn't stay at the inn, we did go there for dinner. 30 years ago, my husband gave me my engagement ring there and so when we heard it was under new ownership, we thought we'd give it a try. Amazing!!! The food, atmosphere and service were the best…..,and just a charming as it was 30 years ago!
