We decided to take a trip to New England for a fall getaway. There was a nip in the air and we were grateful for the actual wood burning fireplace in our room at the Manor on Golden Pond. It was wonderful to come home to after our afternoon boat ride on Squam Lake that had been arranged for us...

The Manor on Golden Pond has always been on our list to visit. We decided to try it for a fall foliage trip. We had expected the Inn to be on the lake but on arrival we found it to be on a hill across Rt. 3. Being on a hill it did provide a nice view of the lake....

Stayed one night after Cog Train and on the way to Vermont. Just be reminded that the GPS does NOT read this address! We were lead to some obscure church! Many reviews reported a small room. Well ours was BIG. Don't know how you get this but was VERY happy. Did not eat here but did nearby. A lot of...

We spent six nights here. Bedroom was large, clean and comfortable (especially our bed) and a special touch to have a real fire. Brian was superb at suggesting just the right outings for us each day. It is an Inn and not a hotel so you get breakfast and dinner but no other food is available during the day. We...

This was our third visit to the Manor. Went up for our anniversary and to enjoy a fall weekend in New Hampshire. Previous 2 stays were in the main building. When we arrived they told us we were upgraded to the annex. Having never stayed in one of those rooms, we were a little hesitant, but turned out we did...

We visited The Manor 30 years ago on our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. At that time, everything was really nice, the restaurant was exceptional and they had a little strip of land on Squam Lake with a hammock and dock. Fast forward to today and a lot has changed. The interior of the inn still has beautiful woodwork and...

Very cozy and beautifully landscaped. Room was nicely decorated. Your personal service prior to our arrival was a very nice touch. Breakfast was very good and the service was great. Thank you for a memorable visit.

Having been raised in the hospitality business, I generally have no trouble finding fault with restaurants or hotels that I visit (which I then complain about to my eating / traveling companions). Little to complain about here, though - The accommodations are peaceful, beautiful and comfortable, and the mattresses and bedding, as well as the bath facilities, are quite excellent....

Spent the weekend here for a romantic getaway. It was very nice Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Nice view of the lake. We had a package deal (my wife booked it so I don't know what it was called) but it included the meals. I never order an app, as I am not a huge eater and usually fill...

Lovely hotel tucked away in a tranquil location. The hotel has lots of character and is of a bygone era. The bed was huge and amazingly comfortable, although it was like climbing a mountain to get into it. There are some lovely areas to sit on the ground floor including a little library where a small afternoon tea is served....
