I have stayed at The Margate twice, once in the Inn building across the street and once in the main building. Both stays were very nice. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff is friendly and helpful. You just can't beat the views of Lake Winnepesauke, especially when the sun is setting. I like to sit on the...

I had the pleasure of staying here for the first time as part of MISTI-CON 2017 and couldn't have found the hotel and it's facilities more beautiful and accommodating. The rooms were large and well kept, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the lake side facilities were idyllic to say the least. I would definitely come again to get...

The hotel staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing. The room was clean. The housekeeping staff was efficient, friendly and made sure our requests for extra towels and coffee were taken care of immediately. The waterfront bar and a great place to sit and watch the boaters, enjoy a good meal...

I initially came to the Margate years ago for a convention, and we come back for our own vacays now! Love this place :) Really good balance: it's not a super-budget "do we get anything?" place, nor a "ugh, did we really pay for all this?" place.

The resort is unique; it has an underground passage connecting two of the buildings (littered with conference rooms); the beach bar serves food from the kitchen and is right on the lake; the indoor night club has a stage, dance floor, and bar island, as well as elevated seating along the wall. The hodge-podge way the resort has grown has...

I had the good fortune to stay at the Margate this May for MISTIcon. The staff was wonderful, very helpful and nice to all of us. I really enjoyed talking with our room attendant. Had several lovely conversations with her while he was taking care of our room. She kept us well stocked with extra towels and coffee. The front...

We stayed at the Margate for a scrapbooking weekend. The staff, food, rooms were all what I expect when traveling. It was clean. This is the second time I have stayed there I love going out and seeing the sunsets! It is a place that would be great for families or just adults. Very quiet rarely heard anyone else

Great place to vege out, enjoy the views. But that wasn't my purpose (we had a weekend scrapbook event) Good accommodations. Small fridge, basic toiletries, beach towels. Good Wi-Fi in hotel rooms, spotty in the conference area (underground) It was off season, so only hot breakfast was served (like a Marriott residence inn) for $7 extra. Food was catered in...

The Margate is a well-run, well-maintained resort. My room was flawless, the bed and pillows were comfy, and climate control worked well. The view of the lake was gorgeous, and that sunset! Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend The Margate to friends.
