My wife and I stayed here two days as a base for NH leaf peeping. We got a room with a lovely view of the lake. It was showing a little wear around the edges, but it was clean. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The breakfast area was more recently remodeled, and was lovely. Continental breakfast featured cereal,...

Had a great room overlooking the lake. It was late September so the weather wasn't that warm. In warm weather it must be wonderful to be there. The rooms do need a little TLC, but not too bad. Very large pool, sauna and jacuzzi. What makes the place though, are the staff. As I was booking in I asked the...

Went to a friend's wedding at the Margate and the lovely couple planned a very nice event. Food and service was good. However, facility planning was not good. The only way to get to the wedding tent and separate wedding reception tent was to walk over WET grass in pouring rain. The hotel staff should have had the sense to...

Stayed here with friend to check out Laconia on the way to mount Washington. Very clean, friendly staff and recently remodeled. Awesome views of the lake as well. Only suggestion would be to add some protein to the breakfast menu as there was no eggs or meat to be found.

Found this hotel for a last-minute decision to go to the race. It's conveniently located to the track in Loudon, NH. Our room was in a separate building, across the street from the registration desk and main rooms, pool, and breakfast area. There is an outdoor pool in front of this Inn. It was recently renovated and comfortable. We arrived...

we stayed at the lake front building. i would definitely recommend trying to get a room facing the lake. free breakfast was adequate. i would not pay extra for hot breakfast as it included warming trays not fresh food. the regular buffet had yourut, cereal bread and bagels, along with fresh fruit.

We had 2 rooms in the Lakeside Building on the Beach/Lake level. Convenient to access for the Beach, Lake and Bar/Grille. Rooms were clean and roomy. Staff was friendly and always helpful. The young Lady who serviced our room was here for the summer from Jamaica and was more than helpful. We will return next year.

We love it here! We always stay after the official tourist season is done and that means the property is quiet, serene, and receptive to two weary travelers who just want to sit on the beach and enjoy their solitude. The Margate Resort is the best. We always have a great time when we stay with them, and the staff...

Hubby and I went for a wedding and stayed Thurs and Fri nights. We stayed in the building across the street in a renovated room. We had 2 double beds, it was definitely roomy and pleasant to stay in. The windows slid open which was nice so we could get fresh air. The shower was clean and everything worked fine....

Spent s night here while attending a show at the NH Pavilion and despite their somewhat strange "pay in advance" policy our room was nice (at the inn) and staff was accommodating. Good continental breakfast and quiet setting even during a fairly busy early fall weekend. Room was spotless and recently renovated. A good place to stay near Laconia/Gilford and...
