Love the Portsmouth Hotel. So much charm to the building. Everything is cozy but updated and stylish. Plus, they have off street free parking for guests. If you book far enough ahead of time, prices are reasonable and compare/beat other hotel prices downtown. Nothing but good things to say.

This is the place to stay. Staff are wonderfully welcoming and the hotel is beautiful! The rooms are fabulous, oversized, and modern. An IPad is in each room to manage your stay and the TV. The shower is extra large and a huge claw foot soaker tub is available. The bed was a dream! Parking is available in back and everything...

When our hotel reservations for another, modern hotel in Portsmouth didn't pan out as we thought they would, we booked into the Hotel Portsmouth for the night of December 6. Right away we knew that this hotel should have been our first choice all along! A small, cozy 'boutique' hotel, located in a renovated building, it's full of ambience and...

This is such a cute hotel. You feel like you're sent to Europe when you walk in. It has all the charm of a cute little bed and breakfast in Paris but all the amenties you'd want from a big hotel chain in Boston. The staff is amazingly friendly, the free breakfast is delicious and super fancy, the rooms are...

The Hotel Portsmouth continues to be an excellent place to stay in Portsmouth. It is well appointed, has a gracious staff, and interesting and unusual breakfasts. One of the most important facts is that it is walking distance to all of the attractions of the downtown area.

The hotel was practically abandoned by staff. One person on duty the entire time we were there. The noise level was unbearable. The in room glasses were dirty. The flooring was a trip hazard. The service was awful, and management was completely unapproachable and reachable.

We were traveling up to Maine and decided to stay here one night on the way up. It was late when we walked in but Taylor checked us in and gave us items that we forgot like shaving cream and toothbrushes. We were in room 208 tucked upstairs in the corner. It was a big king room with a comfy...

The staff could not have been more welcoming and professional! The room was clean and tastefully decorated. The bath products were luxurious! Robes were comfortable. Complementary breakfast was elegant and delicious! The common rooms were extremely comfortable and it was nice to have the daily newspapers. Just two blocks from downtown, which is certainly walking distance, but far enough away...

Very nice quiet room. The staff friendly and helpful. The newly remodeled bathrooms are first rate. Many choices for the included breakfast and free on site parking a plus. Less than a 10 minute walk to Prescott Park or Market Square. Plenty of space to enjoy in the public areas downstairs.

Can say enough great things about the staff! We were greeted by Taylor, Josiah, and Joanna. They were all very friendly and accommodating. Joanna even played with my 16month old daughter as she ran around the lobby! While i would not recommend bringing small children to the area, Josh Labbe's and his team made us feel special for do just...
