My two dogs, Bailey and Cooper and I had a wonderful stay at the Hilltop. Meri and Mike are wonderful hosts and especially welcoming to the dogs. It was the perfect location for some incredible hikes and some awesome memories. The place was warm and comfortable and Mike and Meri are fun to talk to. I will definitely come back.

Just got back from a 3-night stay at the Hilltop Inn and can't say enough good things about it! Meri and Mike, our hosts made us feel welcome with their warmth and humor. They gave us great information about the area and we enjoyed chatting with them. Our dog was given lots of attention, too! This is the perfect place... More

A group of us were in Sugar Hill to celebrate a wedding. The location of the ceremony was less than 1/2 mile from the Hilltop so we booked it based on that. Mike and Mary were wonderful, gracious hosts providing great food, conversation, and local advice on a multitude of topics. We would absolutely stay there again, and without question... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights during a New England road trip after hearing about it from a friend. We were happy to hear that it's dog friendly! Meri and Michael were very welcoming and great to talk with. The inn was quaint, the rooms beautiful and the breakfast delicious- perfect before a hike! Our dog made... More

We stayed here 14 years ago so already knew what a gem The Hilltop Inn was. Mike and Meri's warmth and hospitality, along with the open and unique feel of their home, was perfect for us. The Inn sits in the quaint little town of Sugar Hill in the incredible White Mountains of New Hampshire. We love hiking, good breakfasts,... More

My husband and I wanted to get in a few days of hiking with our dog. We had never taken her away overnight and wanted to find a place that would allow her to stay with us. We were happy to find the Hilltop Inn online, but didn't know what to expect as we had never stayed at a bed... More

We were on a road trip, taking in New Hampshire. Booked last minute, and were warmly greeted by Meri and Mike. They ensured we found them easily by giving route details, and checking in every so often as to where we where. Meri showed us around - where to get tea, coffee, etc whenever we wanted it, and showed us... More

Meri and Mike are fun, with a real talent for hospitality. We enjoyed their scenic, comfortable home, which has some unusual details you'll have to see for yourself. Truly pet friendly, with two beautiful and well mannered dogs. Also, a real treat to have Meri's GREAT breakfast and watch the bird feeders on which we saw Indigo Buntings and Evening... More

6 friends and I stayed here over Presidents Day and it was a fantastic and friendly place to spend our weekend. We stayed here just one night, Saturday to Sunday. It's dog friendly, and the owners have two calm and quiet dogs of their own. If you're not a dog lover, don't worry, both dogs keep to themselves mostly. Sunday,... More

Mike and Meri were very kind and made a great breakfast. The inn is dated in the 1800's and your surrounded by antiques. It's not a bad place to be on a cold winters nite if your looking for peace and quiet compared to other inns. The room was very clean and quiet.
