I was apprehensive about embarking on a week long trip to this hotel with a large school party as a representative of the travel company having read the earlier damning reviews. However, my fears were completely unfounded and I can say with a degree of confidence based on over 30 years' experience that if you want to sample a New...

There is a lot of truth to many of the negative reviews but there are some good things about the place and we had a good time nevertheless. The place is beleaguered and needs a huge upgrade but in fairness to owner there could be a lot of supply in the area and who knows their ability to reinvest in...

We have just returned from staying at the Snowy Owl Inn with a large group of children ranging from 9-19. The hotel provided everything we needed to entertain our group. The bedrooms were spacious and clean and the children loved the luxury of being able to have a bath (jacuzzi or otherwise) at the end of the day. The public...

We have just returned from a school ski trip where we stayed for a week at the Snowy Owl Inn. We shared the hotel with three other school groups - all of around 40-50 - and we found the organisation for meals to be outstanding. All the times were published in the dining room so each group could eat together...

Made a last minute reservation here. Very disappointed. The exterior pictures looked very nice...take note: not many indoor photos for a reason!! The pool was closed (which was fine, it looked nasty). There was an obnoxious note on the door that it was closed to "circumstances out of their control until further notice." In addition to the pool being closed...

The room was clean but very basic and somewhat run down. The TV was small and old, bathroom very small. A mini fridge was provided. Beds are just okay. Carpeting indoor outdoor type. Breakfast was wrapped muffin or donut. No fruit or even tea out, plus not open until 7:30. Entry into hotel was very slippery with snow and nothing...

The Snowy Owl is right in town and perfectly comfortable, but it is certainly not an Inn. It has a long corridor of rooms. The nice looking "parlor" in the lobby is not a nice place to relax, as it is always full of people coming and going. There are some small common parlors along the corridors, but they are...

If I could give this zero stars, I would. I'll start by saying that I stayed at the same hockey tournament the weekend of 1/9/2015 as some other people who have already posted. I paid a premium to get the Fireside Suite so that our Team could gather together and have fun. The decor is extremely outdated, clearly the furniture...

We stayed at the Snowy Owl for a hockey tournament this past weekend. The ONLY good thing I can say about it is that it was nice to be so close to the rink. Otherwise, if you are looking to stay with your hockey team – DO NOT STAY HERE! From the moment we walked in the door, we were...
