Absolutely wonderful experience on our honeymoon. My wife and I were thrilled with craftsman features of the home along with the excellent service. Breakfast was outstanding and if you leave hungry somethings is wrong. Plan on making this an anniversary stop. Thank again to the owners. They really make you feel at home and the personal bathrooms in each room...

We only stayed one night but Inn had all we needed. Our room was comfortable. There was also avariability of a sitting room and use of fridge and tea and coffee making facilities which was nice. Great breakfast to set us up for the day. Karen very nice explaining all the options and giving us tips for our ongoing journey...

We booked a few nights midweek at the end of June. We stayed in the cottage. We desperately needed a respite and this B and B and the hosts provided it. The cottage gave us the privacy we wanted, with a soothing color scheme (recently painted). We used the private deck. When our hosts noticed us playing cards, we arrived...

Our room was adequate. Appreciated that the owners were willing to serve us breakfast on the early side so we could get out to the trails. Breakfast was ample. I loved all the country dishes and salt shaker collection that were used at the tables. The owners make a real effort and I suspect with a few more months under...

We stayed at the Wilderness Inn for two nights while visiting the area and the NH Highland Games. The house itself is very quaint with an old-world appeal. We had a second floor bedroom, the New Zealand Room, which was, as the description says, quite small, but it had everything you would need - dresser, nightstand, chair, luggage ottoman, rack...

We were able to book the Italian room last minute for the long weekend and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The room was more than enough space for the two of us (can accommodate children in an attached room) and also had a lovely enclosed porch for relaxing. The fire place was also a cozy touch. The breakfast each...

Thank you for your exhalant review. The Inn is located near many of the areas trail heads and 4000 footers as well as the other area attractions. This is a nice small B&B. The room was clean and the breakfast was excellent. Only saw the Innkeepers at breakfast. Most rooms are small with not much room to move. The grounds are very small and no area to walk or sit comfortably outside. There is one sitting area outside near the noisy street. The Inn is near the...

We got lucky and were able to book the Friday night before Labor Day in the Caribbean Cottage. No, this is not a luxury resort nor a 5-star hotel. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to The Wilderness Inn Bed and Breakfast, a 1910 Craftsman Style lodge in the heart of the White Mountains. We are ideally located close to Franconia Notch State Park, The Flume Gorge, The Lost River, Loon and Cannon Mountain ski areas, the Kancamagus Highway, and within a scenic drive to Mount Washinton and Squam Lake. Our favorite aspect of innkeeping is sharing information about our beautiful area. We are glad to talk extensively with our guests about the best places to hike, bike, canoe, swim, fish, and ski. We have numerous books about the local area in our living room that you may peruse as you sit by the gas fireplace enjoying your evening libations. The highlight at our Inn is our "cooked to order" breakfast which includes a starter of juice, fresh fruit salad, and Chef Alan's freshly baked muffins of the day; followed by your choice of Eggs Your Way, Omelets with your choice of vegetables, bacon morsels, and/or cheeses, French Toast with Fruit Compote of the day, Crepes made with fresh fruit, or House Recipe Pancakes served with 100% pure maple syrup as well as our homemade apple and cranberry syrups. All seven rooms/suites and the cottage have private baths, three have jetted tubs, and two have gas fireplaces also. Complementary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available anytime during the day. We hope to welcome you soon to our home. We are Alan and Karen Trudell: New Owners with a New Vision. ... more   less
