Stayed at this hotel for 35+ years . Called on the first date and time available to make reservations for next year. Every room I asked for was being held for friends and family by the owner!!!! At 500+ a night I don't expect to settle. Listen up people if you don't have loyal clients like myself maybe you won't... More

My wife and I have been visiting Long Beach Island for about 30 years, first with kids, and this time just the two of us. We have rented oceanfront homes and stayed at B&Bs and motels on LBI. This stay at the Engleside was simply the best ever, a quintessential LBI experience. The front desk personnel were warm and welcoming.... More

Went for the 5th year in a row with a now 7yr old and 9 yr old and once again had a great time. Stayed on the 3rd floor with ocean view and loved hanging on the balcony looking out into the ocean. Great sunrise view! Did not make it to the main restaurant, but had late lunches at the... More

Just got back from our 10th year at the Engleside, and another fun visit. Efficiency with 2 queens was spacious and clean, a good size for 2 adults and 2 kids (we bring an Aerobed, though I think they have roll-aways too). Beach was terrific, though a bit more crowded that last year. Sandbar restaurant was very good (favorites are... More

Unacceptable that there is no reserved parking when you stay there. Had to park down the street! Bar staff was great, hard working. Front desk never even said thank you upon checkout. $9 drink in an 8 oz plastic cup $$$. Overall, a very nice older motel with good bar food, Very nice pool with waitress service. Restaurant inside was... More

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend at the end of June (Th-Su). We had a third floor ocean view room that had a deck that looked out directly onto the beach and pool. The room was terrific (2 queen beds), accommodations were very well-maintained, and we had a nice kitchen area with a sink and refrigerator... More

Girls weekend. What more could you ask for. Ocean views, pool with restaurant service and a full dining room with excellent menu. Love this place. Everyone is friendly and place is spotless. Requested wine glasses for room and were delivered under a half hour. They really aim to keep you happy

Took the family down to LBI for the Memorial Day weekend. First time we've all been to Beach Haven (I was there 25 years ago). We could only spare a few days and though we would have preferred 2 nights, their minimum for the holiday weekend was 3 nights, which is actually much better than most resort areas for such... More

Stayed one night for a wedding close by. Room was clean and convenient to everything we needed. Did not have an ocean view but we were close enough to walk on the beach. A little pricey but that may be because of the convenience to the ocean. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Came for a weekend with friends, spent a fortune, would say it was okay. Doubt if I would hit the Restaurant again, very basic fare, and again, okay but very pricey. Better off at the poolside bar. We know folks need to pay a bit more to stay at the shore, but I'd say this was too much for what... More
