Detailed Reviews
This was our 3rd time staying at this truly delightful classic motel. It definitely has that old-school roadside look, but step inside and you find a clean, cozy room with fresh linens, super-soft blankets, AC, free wi-fi, large TV and an upbeat decor.
Any communication with the owner has been outstanding. Very timely & courteous. This time he even helped us reconnect with a pair of glasses I misplaced. Above & beyond!!
Eating-in is an option with the small table & chairs and the new retro-style fridge & microwave in fun colors. Want to eat out? It's a 3 minute walk to the best, most authentic Mexican food I've ever had! Lots of other nearby choices as well. Overall, a great budget-friendly place to stay in a beautiful area worth exploring.

Great little vintage motel with boutique touches. Bed was very comfortable, and the cozy, modern decor, even in the tiny bathroom, was fun. We totally appreciated such nice accommodations at such a reasonable price.

This place used to be called the Pink Lantern. It had a seedy reputation. This is not the Pink Lantern! It's newly renovated, they thought of everything, and if there's something you need they are super attentive. They reply to texts right away and will help with anything you need. I needed a space heater bc the in room heater fan was too loud for me. They brought one instantly. Clientele struck me as retired interstate road trippers, judging by nice vehicles with out of state plates (beyond NY/PA, but that too) and just who I got a glimpse of coming and going. Directly across the road is Yellow Cottage, where you can get coffee and food, also very friendly. Mexican place right next door, and you are less than 15 minutes from Newton in one direction and about 20 minutes from Milford PA in the other. I was very happy there and will stay again. I'm writing this on Feb 3, and I'll add that lightning can strike anywhere and it's no reflection on this excellent motel. Is it the Ritz Carlton? Of course not. It's a motel. And for a motel, it's great.

I am UNSURE of why this place has raving reviews. Pictures looked great and we read the reviews so we booked it for a weekend. It was disgusting. We had room 3. Upon entering our first night, it was pouring. Whoever “cleaned” left the bathroom window wide open resulting in the whole bathroom being wet and damp. It never dried even leaving the fan on because I’m certain the ventilation is poor. It smelled like straight mold in there and every corner you looked, was black. Dirt or mold.. I don’t know. Either is unacceptable running a hospitality business. While we’re on the bathrooms. We were left with a quarter of a toilet paper roll with no refills. We had to buy our own. Also.. I don’t know about the “Snow White” towels that they speak of. We got two crusty purple and green towels that looked like they came from a grandmothers bathroom in the 80’s. The water also reaked of sulfur/metal. I felt even more dirty after showering.
The rest of the room was a disgrace. The floors are either laminate or vinyl and were slimy and gritty because of the moisture in the hotel. It was so thick and heavy that upon leaving our things had a stench and were damp and had a weight to them. I lifted an area rug to clean the floor and it wasn’t even vacuumed. There was hair from a previous person, bugs, and god know what else under it. The chairs were just covered with these seat covers that didn’t even fit properly. The bed had a mattress cover for a “fitted sheet”, two regular sheets and then a thin fleece blanket that had holes in it.
There were also multiple large spiders we had to kill that were crawling around. You’d think that spraying for pests would be a priority for your guests.
This was the worst place we have ever stayed. Unfortunately there was nothing available in the area that we needed this weekend. I would not recommend to ANYONE. Please don’t read the reviews and put your family here to sleep. You’re better off pitching a tent out back in the grass.
