We made reservations through the Raritan Inn website and the manager handled our requests for special diet requirements. Our experience was seamless. We specified an arrival time and were greeted and shown this Historical Property from top to bottom, including facts about the original property and owners, specifics on the restoration, how to operate the in-room gas stoves and the...

We stayed at the Raritan Inn for two nights while visiting relatives in the area. It is a lovely setting and a beautifully restored home. Often in the case of B & B's the decoration is over the top...too many knickknacks and too much calico. This is not the case with this house...the decor has been done with a deft...

Thanks for the feedback - it is always helpful and always acted upon by our staff. We should have done a better job showing you how to adjust the heat on the 2nd floor, or even made sure you knew how to operate the parlor stove for instant warmth. Our apologies as well for the lack of room freshening that...

From the moment you enter the driveway and admire the well kept grounds , vintage barn and hear the sounds of the nearby stream you instantly start to relax! Inside we were warmly greeted by the owner Marcia who gave us a tour. We learned about it's rich history as well as it's modern technology. Don't miss the before picture!...

My husband and I were married at the Raritan Inn last weekend. It was a magical affair! The property is beautiful. The owners are responsive and their Inn is warm and welcoming. The Innkeeper at the time of our wedding, John, was beyond exceptional! We don't even have the words to explain how great John is and how special he...

Sad to say, but John is no longer managing the Inn, having moved on to other things. As a customer, I'm going to miss his special touch. He's still in the area, but no longer associated with the Inn. Perhaps they'll find someone as good, but ???

We've stayed at the Raritan Inn twice now, in December 2013 and February 2014, and both visits were flawless. We loved the Hunterdon room so much we got it again, but we checked out a few of the other rooms and they all look great, too. We haven't met John, but Bill, Matt and Marsha are awesome -- super friendly,...

We stayed at the Raritan Inn during our wedding several years ago and we returned for a reunion. It was a truly wonderful experience. The owners were knowledgeable, helpful, and very pleasant to talk to. The food was very good. They took special care with our dietary needs and prepared a lovely breakfast at our desired time. The aesthetics of...

My sister had her wedding reception at the barn at the Inn mid October. The setting was lovely and the rooms at the Inn were wonderful! But what really made the venue stand out in my eyes was the warm, inviting and impeccable service from the inn keeper, John. He made our whole group feel completely at home and was...

We were looking for a place to stay the night before the Scandinavian Fest in Budd Lake on Labor Day weekend and happened to come across the Raritan Inn. What a nice surprise! The inn is a beautifully restored Victorian in a rural but not too remote part of NJ. John the innkeeper was fantastic. He made us feel at...

This place is awesome, and it could almost stand on it's own, but the real gem here is the innkeeper, John! We hope the owners are aware of the valuable manager that they have, who seemed to be everywhere doing everything all the time. It looks like he is the entire "staff" here, and always wears a smile. The inn,...

“From what I could gather, all rooms are wonderful. We stayed in The Warren, but our companions were in the Hunterdon and had an exceedingly good experience. We were told that the Owner had denim insulation put in for noise abatement, and the windows seem to be of superior quality. The temperature went down to about 5 degrees that night, and we were quite comfortable -- so much so that we did not turn the little stove on.”
