Sandy Miller has been referred to as the “gran dame” of B&B proprietors, a title you will find most fitting after a stay at Windward House! Being there is like being at home without any of the cares and responsibilities. My husband and I have been coming to Windward House for about 30 years and always look forward to our... More

This was our second stay at the Windward House. We enjoy the warm hospitality, comfortable accommodations, yummy breakfasts, and excellent location near the beach and shopping district. The owner, Sandy Miller, greeted us when we arrived and helpfully suggested restaurants and points of interest. She quickly responded to our request for more towels. Entering the Windward House is like stepping... More

Windward House in Cape May is an absolutely outstanding bed and breakfast. Sandy, the owner is a very warm and inviting host, and makes us feel very at home here. She goes out of her way to make sure everything is right. Her breakfasts provide a good variety of things to choose form, including home made granola, fruit, and others,... More

What a wonderful time we had at the Windward House. To reiterate what others have said, an ideal location, right in the historic area, walking distance to great restaurants and a l/2 block to the beach. Sandy and her son, Owen, are extremely gracious and accommodating in every way. They made us feel right at home. We only ate one... More

The rooms are very clean and have comfortable, pretty furniture. The breakfasts were very good. The Location is very colse to the beach and shopping. You do have to walk about 7 minutes to park your car but it's a nice walk and well worth it.

My girlfriend and I wanted to get away for the weekend to cape may. I've been coming to cape may since childhood and Jackson st is the place to be. The windward is right on the best block to people watch from the huge porch. We unfortunately ran behind on our arrival, but Sandy, the owner, assured us that we... More

The first time I went to the Windward House was with my husband - 18 years ago - when it was one of the few B&Bs open in January. A few years later, I was planning a girls weekend with some friends and I suggested the Windward House. We loved it! We love the roof top deck and the front... More

The ambiance and historical perspective of Cape May can easily be summed up in 2 words, WINDWARD HOUSE. The Windward House is the epitome of a relaxed vacation at an "Edwardian Seaside Inn" in the center of "the Nation's Oldest Seaside Resort". This year, 2009, marks the 400th anniversary of the discovery of Cape May. It is an unique destination... More

We've visited Cape May many times and have stayed at many bed and breakfasts in the city. Once we found the beautiful Windward House, we have stayed nowhere else! We love the convenient location- perfectly situated 1/2 block from the beach and 1/2 block from the Washington Street Mall- and, close to Cape May's finest restaurants. It's perfect!

Sandy, Owen and the girls are always warm and welcoming and make us feel right at home. I have stayed... More
