We just returned from a short (one night) stay at The Mission Inn. Absolutely every amenity is provided from the fully stocked guest fridge, appetizers with beer/wine happy hour, fireplaces, outdoor fire pit, beach accessories and bikes. We brought our own bicycles and Laura kindly provided safe storage in the garage. She also made recomendations for lunch and dinner which...

INNKEEPER’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

We have been traveling to Cape May every year for the past 15 years. This was by far the best, most comfortable B&B we have ever visited. The rooms are beautiful. The food is fantastic and the inn keepers are the most thoughtful people we have had the pleasure to meet. You must book your next stay to Cape May...

We have been avid B & B travelers for over 30 years. The Mission Inn has always been our very favorite. We returned for our 40th wedding anniversary, and were most pleasantly surprised that the change of ownership has only proven to make what was wonderful, even better. We loved the former owners, Susan & Ray, and feel the same...

I visited the Mission Inn in May 2017. I was a bit hesitant about going because I have a very high admiration for the prior owners but new owners Wendy and Laura are equally fantastic! It truly seems like they have been there forever. My visit was with 2 of my best friends for a special birthday celebration. We have...

My husband and I spent this past weekend here for our babymoon! We stayed in the San Diego de Alcala room, which is right on the ground floor. Our room had a two person jacuzzi tub and a giant shower, both were lovely. This room is adjacent to the great room and entrance hall. It was perfect for us as...

The only bad thing I can say is that we only got to stay one night due to our schedules. This place was absolutely fantastic and truly unique. Wendy and Laura take hosting to the next level. I don't know that my favorite thing was, the hosts, the rooms or the food. The next morning, we were hoping to book...

My wife and I had heard good things about The Mission Inn so when our 20th anniversary rolled around I booked us a weekend visit. To say it exceeded expectations is an understatement. Every room is themed and meticulously decorated by hand. The Inn is rich in its own Cape May history. The food was delicious and our hosts Laura...

Came back to the inn this spring after discovering it last fall - there's really no reason to stay anywhere else when you visit Cape May! We felt the excitement Laura and Wendy had about their plans, and they didn't disappoint. The kitchen was stocked with fine accouterments, they gave us great tips on dining, and provided bicycles for our...

We traveled 3,579 miles from Portland, Oregon to stay at the Mission Inn.It was worth every mile. Laura and Wendy are fantastic hosts, and attentive to everyone's needs. They are truly meteors who light up the lives of their guests. Leslie is a food artist providing amazing breakfasts and afternoon treats. The rooms are comfortable and provide peaceful surroundings. Amazing experience! The Mission Inn is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are luxurious . Our room had an incredible shower, hot tub, and fireplace. Wendy and Laura are the nicest, most down to earth people, and it was a pleasure getting to know them. They have happy hour in the afternoon where they serve wonderful appetizers and specialty wine and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Recently awarded the 2017 Travelers Choice Award for B&B's & Inns by Trip Advisor as the #1 bed and breakfast in Cape May, NJ (5 years in a row), #3 in the USA, and #11 in the world, The Mission Inn Bed and Breakfast is not your typical Cape May B&B. We invite you to experience the charm of a California Spanish Mission Style Bed and Breakfast just one block from the beach. You will find The Mission Inn guest rooms to be bright, airy, tastefully decorated, creative and restful places for the weary traveler as was the purpose of the original California missions. Each guest room is themed after one of the missions, with artistic murals and accents designed to resemble the original mission. The common areas were themed to reflect the warmth of the missions. Each year additional improvements are planned and implemented. Return guests are always finding the "little changes" that reflect the attention to detail so noticeable at the Inn. Book one of our 8 Rooms before they fill up! We are an Inn for all seasons and open all year round. ... more   less
