Dump. Old hotel with worn out rooms. Front desk rude and not guest friendly. I wouldn't stay here If it was the last hilton ever. Pretty standard (which is a good thing) Hampton Inn. Free parking, easy access to the whole Meadowlands complex including the mall with the amusement park and water park. Staff were friendly and we loved the 'vibe' of the little garden and pond up front. We drove into NYC from this hotel and that was also very convenient.

The hotel is very close to American dream mall and it has a bus stop to New York, which is very convenient for a family with kids to visit the mall and to New York City. However, we do not know this hotel is a pet friendly hotel. At one night after 10 PM we heard a dog barking and scratching for a long time and our kids could not sleep. I called the front desk but apparently it didn’t really help much; the dog eventually got quiet down. The hotel should separate people with dogs, or with other pets in a certain area so the pets would not disturb guests nearby. The breakfast, during the week closes at 9:00 am which is too early for a family with kids. Because of the dog issue my kids couldn’t sleep until past midnight, and they got up late and missed the breakfast .

I compared TA ratings of hotels in the NJ area with a short bus trip to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, to see a Broadway show. I stayed at another worthy location a few years back, but decided to try this hotel based on the TA comments and the fact that is was $45/night less expensive. It exceeded my expecations, and the other hotel in every way. The bus pick up was across the street, needing to wait for the light at the drive entrance to cross. The return drop was on the hotel side. Easy and simple. FYI- From the bus schedule, most times, this bus has no stops both ways. Given traffic, it too easy. The 6pm trip to NYC took 20 mins. 11pm return took 15 mins. Amazing. Note- the 6pm pick up at the street kiosk was 10 mins behind schedule. Blame traffic. The 11:05 pm departure from the PATB left exactly on time. The hotel provided a printed sheet with clear details about all this, including the departure gate at PABT. Last, buy a bus ticket from the driver when you get on. Currently it was $9 RT/person; $4.20/person for seniors. The quality of the rooms was well above the rate. The bathroom and bedroom features were chic, clean, and plenty large. And quiet. The fridge was hidden in the bureau. The A/C fan was unobtrusive, and the heat cycled on regularly as it was 25F out. We barely heard adjacent room noises. Only the loud burst of the flushing toilet from ours and well muted wooosh from the neighbors detracted from the solitude. The result of water saving designs. The nice, modern and convenient touches are too numerous to list. The complimentary breakfast was solid too. Many choices of hot items, including waffle iron. AND the polite as ever gentleman who was replanishing the food, even warned the guests before closing the buffet. Anyone who wanted had a chance to refill anything before shutting things down. Instead of the usual "getting pushed out." A first in my memory. Nicely, there were also no surprise fees at checkout. Other notes- Water saving measures mean weak shower and sink flow rates. There is no quick rinse. Access is tricky due to overlapping highways. Follow your GPS to get there. The American Dream Mall is a half mile away, but you can't walk there. There are a few restaurants at the Mall, and a couple fast food places which look near but you have to drive to. God bless. …

Clean room and Bathroom. Well stocked breakfast and clean dining area even though its busy Christmas weekend. Special thanks to check in manager on duty morning of 24 Dec, allowing for early check in. Great laundry with lowest price and huge machine capacity.

We stayed here this weekend to visit the Dreamworks Waterpark at American Dream. It is great distance...only 4 minutes away. It's a great location and great distance from a lot of restaurants. The hotel is very clean and staff was excellent. I called down for more towels and they were knocking my door in less than 5 minutes. The bathroom is nice and had a big morror that's very bright for putting makeup. The water pressure in the shower was very strong but this is good compared to other hotels where it is so low and the water isn't even hot. The water at this hotel was perfect!! I love hot showers! The room size was also good and have enough space. Just wish they had suites. The breakfast was great. We had several options for the kids and ourseleves. S Someone was there cleaning tables and sweeping up any mess. He was kind and friendly. As was everyone at the front desk. We are very picky with hotels and we can say that we would definitely recommened this one!! Our family enjoyed our stay here! We wish our stay was longer than two nights!…

This was my 3rd stay at this hotel in the past 5 years. I always stay here when I want to visit NYC due to its location and price. The rooms are clean, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and it's safe. Free breakfast in the morning is typical hotel breakfast. You cross the street and hop in a bus to the city and are there in approximately 30-30 minutes depending on traffic, it was $9 rountrip. The bus drops you off at port authority and the schedule runs all day and night with the last bus coming back at 1:00am (if i remember correctly). I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a safe, quiet, clean, and decent price place to say with good proximity to NYC.

We spent a couple days here to visit the american dream mall and the waterpark. The location is PERFECT !!! just few minutes drive or hop in free shuttle from the hotel. The breakfast was really good , everybody enjoy it. We didnt purchase the premium wifi but the regular one is fast enough for the kids👍. We’ll be back in the future for sure…

Had another chance to stay in near New York and I picked to stay at this place once again, the second time in four months. This visit did prove extremely satisfactory as well. The double queen bed room was spacious and looked new and clean. As always, I was impressed with the quality of toiletries provided at the Hampton Inn. The breakfast, consisting of a range of choices from croissants, bagels, bread, cereal, waffles, toast and scrambled eggs, was excellent and helped us kick start our days with energy. Coffee was available near the front desk throughout the day, and in the mornings, they also kept some donuts. This time I had a chance to also make use of the hotel Wi-Fi and the connection was super fast. You could also catch the bus to Port Authority Bus Terminal from right outside the hotel, bus connectivity was very frequent. Conveniently located very near to the American Dream Mall and the MetLife Stadium.
