Very rude staff . I was told that they don't care anymore about customer service because they are going through a management change and they don't have a general manager or a front desk manager . The front desk staff make your life hell. I couldn't even check in! Had to leave the hotel and go somewhere else. I went to the Hilton Newark where I was treated cordially and respectfully. Save yourself the most horrible subreal experience of your life and go somewhere else. It was so bad, I filed an official complaint with Hilton corporate.

Hotel's Favourite
This Hampton is super convenient to drive to our plant outside Newark and a short walk to two really good restaurants (Spanish Pavillion and Tops Diner). This visit I had a king room facing the river on the third floor picture of the room, bathroom, and view out the window are attached. Parking is the biggest drawback here, but this trip I found spots right in the hotel parking lot. The breakfast could be better with more and better hot food choices.

First let me say I am a diamond member so I was given an up grade on my room. I thought that was a nice touch, however, not knowing I was about to experience a horrible stay. First, in the bathroom there was a hanging corner stand in the bathroom that was hanging by a piece of glue, then while I was getting dress, I heard a loud noise and realize that had fell in the shower. Reached out to the front Desk and they had someone come and take it away. Next, while rushing to get dress for the wedding, we realize the safe was not working, so I had to call the front desk again for them to come fix it so that I could put my valuable items in it before leaving the hotel. Then, I forgot some thing in my room, as I stated, rushing for the wedding so when I return to my room, the key would not work. The batteries in the entry digital sensor was dead. Someone had to come up stairs to change the batteries so that I could get back into the room. Upon returning to the room, my fiancé and I were excited about watching the game and some college football on Saturday. However, my poor fiancé had to sit at the end of the bed to watch TV because we had a 32 inch screen TV in the room. Although they were brackets to hang a bigger TV this room at 32 inch TV sitting on the table. The front desk claims that the hotel manager is on maternity leave and the one that is sitting in for her was not going to be there all weekend. So my entire stay was Horrible Oh, the indoor pool is drained and used for a storage area for mattresses…

I stayed here for 9 nights for business in Sept 2023. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Rooms were not serviced everyday but that is not needed. Only downside is proximity to train track - trains were quite loud. Shuttle into Newark would have been convenient but it is no longer in operation. Other than train noise hotel was quiet. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again but would request room as far from train tracks as possible.

This is a bad hotel for staying at the airport. They lied to me that they had shuttle service which they did not have. I did not seem to care when I mentioned it at the front desk girl the front desk kind of blew me off and said well I’m sorry that’s it.

Beware of parking here. My Car along with 4 others were broken into after 2 nights of parking in the hotel parking lot. The hotel claims no liability for any vehicles in the parking lot. If you have to park here, park as close to the front of the building as possible as that is where most of the cameras are.

This hotel has the most unprofessional staff informed when I arrived a $15 parking fee per night. Only one elevator working the pool doesn’t look like it has been filled with water for sometime. The room was not clean had to wait even though I received that the room was ready and room key was available mobile key was not working. Will never recommend anybody to stay at this hotel.

I was a little hesitant to stay due to the previous reviews. Which commented that air wasn’t working and staff was rude. But husband called and spoke with a gentleman to verify that they had working air conditioning due to the fact that the week we were there it had been 96-98 actual temps The gentleman assured us it was working (but was a little sarcastic when saying goodbye) But we were very pleased with the room. It needed some updating but air worked great and the ladies at the desk were fantastic! Very friendly and extremely helpful!!

The hotel seriously needs to evaluate options for improving general standards and procedures.Had one of the worst experience in my life.Staff are terrible....front desk Lady *Alice Caceres* was worst and indifferent..i went with my husband and they have no consideration of being hospitable being in service industry. We had our room from previous night and they cancelled it when we showed up in the morning saying it’s not our policy to hold the room. Then we wait and on firmly asking about the room she says it’s being disrespectful and denies us the room. What a pathetic response and least of being courteous to guests inspite of paying Soo much of tariff.

The rooms were not cleaned and the chairs were stained the beds had hair in it the bathroom was dirty with hair in the sink there was no shampoo or shower gel and they changed our rooms 3times and they were all nasty fixtures were not on the walls and broken curtains they also gave strangers room keys to your room
