This trip could have been better. It started off rocky with the front desk staff. Then the room was dirty, the blind was broken, and the door would not open and shut properly. A new room key was given. It did not fix the problem. The balcony was very nice. The breakfast was nice as well.

We stayed here in June of 2022. The hotel is nice enough although some services are cut back because of Covid still. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was pretty standard for this type of hotel. Several other reviewers have mentioned noise from the trains. We were not particularly bothered by this. They don't blow their whistles and our sleep was not interrupted. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Overall wonderful stay. Half the price of most other nearby hotels. Room was clean. Bedding comfortable. Staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. On booking it was stated parking was included. It was not. 16 dollars a night isn’t bad but it was unexpected. And parking is limited.

Disappointed in this hotel. Firstly, the reason we booked this was due to the pool, but when we checked in we discovered it was closed (along with the bar). The reason given was Covid. I'm not an expert in New Jersey Covid regulations so have to take that at face value, but it could have been communicated better. If we'd have known, we'd have booked somewhere else instead. We had an issue in the night with a blocked toilet, which flooded the bathroom floor. I called down to the front-desk and was told that 'maintencence' would be sent up. Someone did arrive, but it was a security guard who complained that he 'wasn't a plumber'. I get that in the middle of the night there might not be the right person around, but what was more avoidable was his suggestion of just putting towels on the floor rather than providing us with a mop to clean dirty toilet water off of the floor. I know the room was cheap, but even a cheap hotel shouldn't be content with allowing guests with a child to have twelve hours of dirty toilet water on their floor. Room otherwise unremarkable, reasonably clean and things worked. Breakfast selection a little disappointing but fine.

We certainly did not deliver the service and quality you would expect from the Hampton Inn & Suites Harrison and were not pleased with the service we have provided. I expect all guest service agents to follow up with each guest to ensure our valued guests are satisfied with their accommodation. We are working on getting on a better way to communicate with our guests from the staff. I would like to use your situation as a training tool for our entire staff. I would like to thank you for bringing this situation to my knowledge. Our mission is to "Impress the Guest" and in your case, we failed to do that. I will use this as a training opportunity with the rest of our staff to improve our service and learn from our mistakes.. We want to offer the best service possible, and responses, from our guests, help us to accomplish that.

This is a fairly standard Hampton, with 6 floors, but very limited parking right around the hotel. If you get in late as I did, you may have to park down Passaic ave. under a bridge. I picked a room on the 6th floor that must have noise from wind over the roof. Room 617 was OK, but the vent fan in the bathroom had a mind of its own and kept running after trying to shut it off. The sink had no drain stopper ( if something would have dropped in the sink it would have been down the drain). The breakfast buffet was very good and about what I would expect from a Hampton Inn. I attached pictures of the buffet, the dining area, and the lobby. It has an indoor pool and fitness area that I did not have time to use. But that looked nice.

They did accommodate my breakfast requests for vegetarian and dairy allergy (even thought a sign says otherwise . Rooms were noisy (close to train). Nothing in rooms work (toilet, safe, tv etc). Staff do not help!

My 8 week old kitten got stuck In the wall for 9 hrs till they finally got the okay to make the hole to get her out. After I had to agree to pat them $500. The hole was under the sink where the job looks like was incomplete.

Breakfast was surprisingly good in the morning. The only downfall is that there is a train that runs 24 hours you do hear it at night I happen to sleep very well so it didn't affect me but if you are a light sleeper be aware not to have your room on the side of the hotel that the train runs by. Hotel was very accommodating with my two puppies I did stay there with them they were very welcoming
