Cons: Language barrier with staff is terrible, snack and drink prices are to high, ice machine didn’t work, didn’t have a microwave in the room had to ask for one their should be one in there from the start, their isn’t a pool like it said on the website, one of the elevators kept shaking felt very unsafe inside, staff are kinda ignorant but tolerable Pros: great hot water, clean room and bathroom, Tv and channels are good, laundry room is decent so is fitness room, Wi-Fi is great

Thank you for your feedback. I am not certain what you are referring to regarding language barrier our Frontdesk associates speak English and some are bi lingual or even multi-lingual. It clearly states on our brand website the pool is closed and has been closed for several years. Microwaves are by request, that is correct. We do not have them in all guestrooms. I can assure our team is all very well trained and seasoned, I am certain by your insulting comments it was not them who are ignorant.

Front Desk staff and management absolutely awful. Trying to get my special needs sister and her husband into a room after they had reservations, but I guessing because of their handicap they were treated differently.

Mediocre front desk welcome. Nice room, but a little small. Had fridge but no microwave. Poor lighting. No easily movable table. Somewhat noisy heating system. I was very surprised that there was no clock radio...or any clock for that matter. Also, there was no mirror, other than the one in the bathroom. Nice gym.

We stayed here for a football game at MetLife Stadium. The location is great and parking is free. We had a car for the game and it was a quick ride to the stadium. The hotel had signs for a shuttle to the game (suppplied by another local company). So you have options to get to a game. A bus stop is located right outside the hotel which takes you to the Port Authority in NYC. We were told Ubers are hard to get. Once the rider sees you are going to NYC, they often will cancel. The staff said the bus is the most convenient and cheapest way to go. The bus offers "senior rates" which were $4.50/person so you can't beat that. The rooms were clean. The mattress in our room was in need of a replacement. It was concave. We did alert the staff so hopefully they will replace it. The staff was pleasant and helpful Overall, we were very happy with our selection and would definitely recommend it.

Visited the area a few weeks ago for a football at MetLife Stadium and it's an easy drive to the stadium. Not sure if they offer a shuttle. Overall the hotel is your typical Courtyard, nice size room, very clean and the staff was super friendly. Several food places nearby that deliver and if you're planning to visit Medieval Times it's right next door, easy walking distance. If going to a game, I would certainly here again.

I put in for an early check in and was confirmed for an early check-in from the app (along with a possible upgrade as a Gold Elite member). When we arrived, there were signs apologizing and that no early check-ins before 4pm would be honored. What was worse, there was 1 person working the desk and (at times) 10-11 patrons waiting in line. When I asked the front desk attendant if I could put my name on a list since I was at the hotel, she said I could keep checking back instead. When I asked "you mean even though I'm patiently waiting in the lobby, it's the luck of the draw if I happen to come up at the moment (there's not also a line) and you get a call from housekeeping saying a room is available"? She said "yes". I was blown away that a hotel right next to the Meadowlands (that draws tons of events) has no system for assigning rooms as they become available other than "keep coming back to the desk". As I sat there waiting to check back again and again, the line built to over 12 patrons. That's when I decided to leave. Questioning if I should continue my loyalty to Marriott now that business travel has opened back up again. There's also a very strange and seemingly unsafe parking garage out back if they are busy. On the second floor of the parking garage, there is a walkway to the hotel. But it is gated and chained. Felt abandoned. Parking is very disconnected from the hotel itself unless you are an early arriver.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Your feedback is important and we appreciate it. We thank you for being a Gold member. As you mentioned we are a very busy hotel, we receive many requests for early check-in requests and upgrades from our Silver, Platinum, Gold, Titanium and Ambassador level members, our upgrades are limited to city view rooms only as we do not offer suites at the hotel. To clarify we do have a system when we are sold out and we receive a multitude of early check in requests, which is the case for the majority of events. We accommodate early arrival requests as they come in and do have a list of said requests, as I am certain you can agree on a special event night this can be quite an extensive amount of requests as well as guests who would like early check-in without putting in a request. As an industry we are also still very short staffed and doing multiple jobs to assist our hard working team in getting rooms ready as well as assisting our in-house guests. We appreciate your patience and thank you for the opportunity to serve you.

Just look at the reviews and this property’s management responses, defensive and argumentative in nature, nothing like what Bill Marriott would have taught or envisioned for his brands. Two gross rooms later had to fend for myself and walk across the highway at midnight to check in to the Renaissance. Patrick, the guest supervisor was obnoxious on the phone (not on property that evening) and would not help and told me to leave the property. My line to Marriott titanium elite got me my new room. Just see what I found in my room forcing my call to action. To date no one at this property has called me to apologize, I find it ironic that the general manager Bret, searched me via LinkedIn but no follow up, What a shame, I’ve been with Marriott for 20 years and this was so far below poor, do yourself a favor and don’t stay here

We apologize for you not enjoying your stay and the alleged service disconnect you experienced at our hotel. We reviewed, investigated, contacted you multiple times, as did Marriott and did our due diligence to address your alleged issue. You accused the hotel of having bed bugs and sent a blurry, fuzzy picture of what we found to be lint in a bed, which Marriott agreed. Our licensed pest control company found no sign of activity when the room was inspected as is our policy. We sent the pictures and reports to Marriott to review who concurred we did our due diligence and your claims were unsubstantiated. As for our hourly, front desk supervisor who assisted with your alleged issues while off the clock in attempts to assist his colleague, we have commended him for going above and beyond as opposed to your demand for termination. We apologize again we were not the correct choice for you and hope you find more suitable accommodations in the future, thank you for the opportunity, and apologize for not meeting your expectations. I wish you the best.

My husband and I were in town for a Giants game. The hotel stay was just okay. The room was on the smaller size compared to other Marriotts we have stayed at. I could feel and hear the springs in the mattress and the view was of a parking lot. It was good enough for what we needed but a little disappointing compared to other marriotts.

We stayed here as part of a family group. The first thing I would mention is this hotel had police activity 2x during our 3 night stay. As for the quality of the rooms, there was a bit of a musty smell in our room, and the bathroom vent along with the tv remote didn't work well. The starbucks and food area, which was open for very limited hours, had decent food.

Thank you for recognizing the quick response our team and the Lyndhurst Police Department had in responding to a guests health emergency. Also it is very helpful you mentioned the remote may not have worked in this review we would’ve preferred you reported this while at the hotel so we had the opportunity to change the batteries for you. Our rooms are deep cleaned and sanitized before every guest use due to the ongoing pandemic, we do not use musty smelling disinfectant, I believe it is lemon smelling hydrogen peroxide cleaner. Thank you also for recognizing us as one of the few hotels during the pandemic who have been and continue to provide full service food and beverage. It was our pleasure to serve you.
