My hubby and I stayed at Inn on Main when we were down for a wedding in Spring Lake (10 min drive). The location is perfect - walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on Main St in Squan. We didn't go to the beach but looks like it would've been a 20 min flat walk thru a pretty neighborhood. We stayed in Room 202 and loved it! Looked brand new and had everything we needed. Waters in fridge were a great touch. Bed was very comfortable. For the most part room was very clean - there was a clump of hair on the shower floor but we understand these things happen. The only real negative of this place - you can't check into your room early, even if it's clean, without paying a $50 fee, as the keypads are automated and programmed to switch over at a certain time. (There's no front desk.) I'm 5 months pregnant and it would've been really nice to check in early to rest before the wedding, especially because it was clean and empty - but I didn't want to pay extra after splurging on the room. Just know the policy does not seem to be flexible. Other than this quirk, everything was wonderful and we'd absolutely stay again! Highly recommend!…

We were in 301 - a large beautiful room with gas fireplace, very nicely appointed. But I would suggest a few things for guests’ convenience: - full length mirror in room. The oval mirror over the sink was the only one. I was dressing in a new outfit for a wedding. Very frustrating not to get a full view. - more “shelf space” in the shower. There was only a soap holder. Most people (women) have shampoo, conditioner, facial cleanser, etc. I had to put them all on the floor of the shower. - window covering in bathroom with more privacy. There is no way to contact a human to ask questions. The customer service is awful. Messages are not returned. If you need any help you are not able to get it. Please book somewhere else. We need assistance Re handicap access and it’s pulling teeth to get answers.

My husband and I reserved the entire hotel for out-of -own guests attending our daughter's wedding on September 24th. Our guests (all of the bridesmaids and my two brothers, their wives and their adult children and spouses) have raved about their lodging experience at Inn on Main. Our new son-in-law stayed there the night before the wedding and the photographer and videographer came to his room for pre-wedding work with him. The bride and groom stayed there the night of and night after the wedding. So....I think I can provide a fair assessment of the property! Our guests found the inn to be a warm home base, incredibly convenient between PPB, Spring Lake and Brielle and comfortably and attractively furnished. Luckily we had a gorgeous weather weekend. People were busy with the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner and meet and greet Friday and the wedding on Saturday.....so they were not spending hours in their rooms.....but I doubt anyone does, who is visiting the Jersey Shore for its sights and fun. They spoke very highly of the Inn, with absolutely no complaints. They all said it was a wonderful lodging experience. and I received my deposit back (for reserving the entire inn for the wedding) promptly. Highly recommend!…

I stayed at this hotel over Memorial Day weekend as I was attending a wedding. There was a USED SEX TOY underneath the bed in our room. When we called the help line, the owner (Val), was dismissive and rude. Instead of offering to send a cleaning crew or even apologizing for this obscene oversight, he told me that I shouldn't be calling him at 12:30 AM, that I was rude and that he was terminating my stay. I had to submit a better business bureau claim to get any sort of apology (which was a cheap bottle of prosecco vs. comping the room for the night). As you can see by many of the negative reviews, Val is really not cut out to work in the hospitality business. DO NOT STAY HERE unless you want to find USED SEX TOYS in your room and then be told you should just check out instead of having management deal with the issue. Absolutely disgusting.…

Due to a death in the family, we booked a room at the Inn. A friend in town graciously offered us their home for the week, so we attempted to cancel. However, since it was outside of their cancelation policy, they refused to refund us a penny. I personally will NEVER give this heartless owner my business again.

Sorry that we cannot accommodate your refund request. We are not heartless at all but we do apply our cancellation policy uniformly to be fair to everyone and in your case, we attempted to re-sell your room but were unsuccessful. We suggest travel insurance to cover unknowns.

The hotel is adorable. Small and safe. Our room had a gas fireplace. Didn't have to move the car all weekend. We walked everywhere. The beach and inlet were about a mile walk. Lots of restaurants with outdoor seating. A great place for a quick getaway. You checked into the room yourself(code on door)so we never saw any hotel staff. There was an issue with our shower head, we called a number that was given to us via email and they moved our room to accommodate us with a better functioning shower.

VISITORS BEWARE! No lobby, no on-site management Calls answered by leaving a message-Good luck for same day reply. Example-Paid entire bill in full more than a month prior to our arrival. I was charged a separate fee of $39.07 on August 3rd, a day before arriving. Tried for 5 days to get an explanation-telephone messages and e-mails and no answer from ANYONE. Stayed at the Inn on 8/4-8/6/2020. During power outage (1-1/2 hrs after arriving)-no A/C, no elevator, no electric, no hot water, owner compensated our bill only $50 per night. I expected more than that, possibly, (1) complimentary night. Also, due to Covid-19, requested no maid service, yet our bed was made the morning of 8/5. SUPPORTING SMALL BUSINESS SOMETIMES DOES NOT PAY!.

Freak hurricane did occur and knocked-out power. Inn was at sell-out and we did re-locate 2 rooms to another Inn. Reviewer ordered an early check-in for $35 + tax which she used. Reviewer was refunded $106,62, not $50 - an amount we believe most people will find reasonable for an act of God.

The hotel is in the center of town. Parking is right behind the Inn. The room - 304 - has two queen sized beds and a small baloney. The owner was extremely thoughtful in helping unmake the arrangements so we could see out Mom in Assisted Living. The Blend Restaurant on the street level is wonderful - fully outside and the food is top notch. Highly recommend this for any visit to the Manasquan area.

although were only stayed two nights and less than 48 hours, the inn on main in manasquan was wonderful. la arge, spacious, beautiful, and clean room was waiting for us. beautiful decor in the halls and the rooms. lots of little extras left in the room and at your door every evening. once you book on line, there is keyless entry into the building and your room.......worked seamlessly. great location, parking in the rear. would definitely stay there again.......btw, great restaurant below
