This entire vicinity hotels has a lot of "looping" on the main roads because there are no left turn lights(all U turns or right to left turn roads) to allow smoother traffic on the main road. The Courtyard Princeton is located on this type of turn so depending on which direction you are coming you might have to be going up and then looping back around and then another loop again. You will see! As always, I make the habit to try to reserve the top floor(3rd floor here being the highest) when booking with Marriot. Once I was able to check in in my app, I Immediately texted and got a prompt, welcoming response saying they reserved a top floor overlooking the courtyard. I reserved the lowest tiered room(there are some rooms with a small balcony. We stayed one night as we come back from pumpkin-picking at Battleview(get those donuts) and Red Wagon Farms. There was plenty of parking and we already received a keyless entry on the app. The receptionist was very nice although she was sitting outside talking with a patron. The lobby was very welcoming just like the picture above. There are two elevators, but only one for each "wing". Make sure you head to the right wing based on room number or you will have to double back. The elevators were also quite far from the main lobby. We passed by the indoor pool which looked like it was being drained. Elevators were nice, carpeted. We were situated at 306 which did had a nice view of the courtyard(the fire pit was closed I believe) from the right side. Only gripe that I would report is that they leave the TV on too loud. Although the setting was only at level 5 - the Marriot welcome screen plays a very loud music one. When we approach the door, we thought someone was in there playing the tv loudly. Turns out it was just the welcome screen. Once we turned it to another channel it was fine. BUT - we then heard it again. GUESS what! It was coming from the adjoining room - which we knew was empty since it was playing the same welcome music. Since we were just staying one night - we did not bother to contact the front desk to ask them to close the adjoining room TV. Trust me - you can hear it if you do not have your own TV on. At night when sleeping we left the A/C fan on just to drown the noise a bit. As you come in , there was your typical bathroom on the right. Toilet was relatively clean(a slight smear mark which I wiped). Weak flush. Shower was your typical , nothing fancy. **This is a no frills Marriot** Sink was outside. The carpet was relatively clean - a deep clean(rug doctor) would help. We booked a two queen bed - although surprisingly firm enough - you can tell these are older mattresses as occasionally you can hear a coil pop. One of them was used more often than the other. But there were no lumps and we slept great. The pillows and blankets were decent. We usually do a smell test on them - and either no one has slept in them for a long time or it was clean pillowcases and blankets - it was hard to tell. We didn't find hair or flakes around the rest area. I did find one piece of gum wrapper on the corner of the bed. (that's a no-no) On the right corner was a comfortable crown shape sofa chair with footrest. It was very comfortable but you can tell it was oft-used.(lumped a bit) The light curtain was already ripped but both type of curtains looked clean. On the left side was your usual TV/drawer and office desk setup. Comfortable , chair - a little worn. The fridge had a slight sound and was too cold (couldn't find the temp knob) . It froze my grapes. There was a luggage rack in the closet. Overall, this Marriot was a no-frills stay. It was simple and effective after a day of pumpkin-picking. Would definitely come back if the price is right.

The hotel is very customer friendly...The reception is so satisfactory...We felt at home during our stay thereat.. It is very convenient to go to either New York city or to New Jersey easily and quickly. We stayed there and visited Ellis Island, Liberty Statue, Old Rail station which played an important role in transferring early immigrants. The next day we visited the wonderful monuments at New York and enjoyed our visit..On return to hotel, we were so happy to use the restaurant at the hotel and enjoy our food thereat...The hotel was very cozy and comfortable at affordable cost...We love staying there.

Apparently you are allowed to have hotel shaking parties in your room until 3:15am !!!!! The room above us sounded as if they were wrestling , bowling , throwing furniture, or roller skating !! I called. The front desk & spoke to Damian 6x from 11:30pm until 3:15am My daughter was crying “daddy pleAse make them stop”. Here are Damiens responses : 1. Ok I will call and ask them to be quiet 2. there’s nothing I could do but just go up there 3 I’m sorry sir there’s nothing I could do 4. Ok I’ll go up there again 5. I’ve done everything I could 6. At 2:49Am I’m sorry the best thing to do is move your room I was very close to calling 911 finally at 3:12am it got quiet I’m disgusted The night staff needs to learn how to handle unruly & disrespectful patrons The gold level loyal customers to the Marriott brand suffer!! I’m completely disappointed & disgusted we had to spend our valentines weekend worrying about the ceiling caving in on us So much for a restful night sleep I wonder if this is how Hilton handles their hotel guests On the other hand Robert at the desk in the morning was very caring , understanding,& professional - hopefully Damien can learn from him

Thank you for staying with us and your feedback regarding the noise complaint. I truly apologize for the noise issues and our lack of action in responding. This is not the standard for how we deal with guests who cause disturbances in our hotel. I will certainly share your feedback with our entire guest services team to ensure we do a much better job in the future. Thank you.

My son and his friends wanted to visit NYC for the day. We typically drive to Princeton Junc and catch the train. This Friday they wanted to be able to stay in the city a little longer so I suggested a stay at the Courtyard. The Marriott was about a mile from the train station and offered free shuttles. Parking at the hotel is free. My son and his friends arrived early. Robert took care of getting them settled and on the shuttle. The three boys all agreed that Robert was nice, helpful and the hotel was nice as well. I'd read several reviews about his hospitality and can agree that he's the best. The room was nice, facing away from the traffic. It's definitely a great option for those wanting to visit NYc and not want to drive into the city and hassle with parking and higher rates for hotels.

This location is terrible, hard to get to right on the highway. Can hear the car noise from our room. Hotel was clean but could use some updating. Our bed was very hard and the tv was to the side of the bed instead of in front of it. We had a group of teenagers partying across the hall until 2am, front desk addressed it after several noise complaints. We were not compensated for that awful night but they did prevent it from happening again the next night. We are typically Hilton members but stayed here with a group. Would not return or recommend this particular location.
